BTC block size must increase, but

- this XT thing is too much about moderation, leadership and authority, which is government stuff, exactly that what we don`t want
- doubling every 2 years automatically is insane, Gavin is obviously not familiar with the Wheat and chessboard problem
- why 8 times now? 1MB is not yet insufficient, wouldnt it be more reasonable to do smaller steps, as needed? engineers call that "Design to capacity". Remove the bottlenecks, not more.
- block size is a necessary evil (centralization) so it should stay as small as possible at any given time
- Right now adoption and regulations are the issues, not block size

SICK?

I Just dumped all my 30+ Bitcoins...

Its obvious to me that Bitcoin is NOT gonna be it!

When you look at the charts I think the BTC dump could start every day...

Not a smart move. With billions of dollars invested in bitcoin and many companies built on it, bitcoin isnt going away simply because of some block size discussion.

Now is actually a buying opportunity. After the dust settles the price is going up.

Or you can do what I'm doing and just hodling to see where the split takes us.

But when does the dust settle? Not before a fork or other final drama happens. I can see double digit prices as realistic now. People should have ignored Gavin, Mike and their minions completely imo.

It will settle when 95% of the miners are on one side or the other. Then go to that side and continue on.
My guess is that the real fun will start when it hits 50% vs 50%.
I'm saving up to make a major buy around that time, because the price will be low then.

It's actually fun to watch this. There's always talk about a fork etc, but it's fun to see one happening.
And fwiw, it's not going to cause any damage.

Well.. yeah.. doing stuff like that and arguing about it will cause damage!

But technically just switching to XT wouldn't cause damage. And if it did the miners could just switch back to a Core 2.0
