I'll reiterate it again. I don't see how much of an impact that the signing of KDB would bring into the Napoli team in staying highly competitive both in the domestic league and in Europe. That is not to say KDB is no good player but going by his age and in an Italian league where tactical and physical football and for an injury prone KDB as a result of his age, he wouldn't do much at Napoli. I don't really know the credentials and pedigree of Chivu, I don't think his been a coach of any elite team before. I'm made to understand that his coached the Under teams of Inter Milan but never Inter Milan itself untill now. He was the coach of Parma and one might argue that he wasn't successful there because players there didn't meet the standards of top teams in the league. I still wonder why Inter Milan had to go for a coach that's not yet proven or do they want to give him the benefit of doubts! I'm just wondering.

In my personal opinion one of the problems that Inter had last season was that they did not make significant enough transfers to regenerate their squad. I don't know if the club owner was very difficult to spend money on the transfer market. According to one of the sports accounts on X^[1], the average age of Inter Milan players last season was around 29 or 30 years old. With that age they will have a weakness when playing against a team that applies aggressive pressure like PSG. To be honest they were also weak when playing against Barcelona. However Barcelona did not have Lewy and Kounde who were injured so both teams could score goals against each other. This is different from PSG where they have a solid defense and high pressure so that Inter Milan could be defeated by a big score in the final match.
