The contracts for Rabiot’s transfer have been deposited, and have been officially registered on the Lega Serie A website. Milan’s official confirmation will arrive in due course.

As was reported on Sunday evening, Milan struck an agreement with Marseille for a fee of €10m including bonuses.

Rabiot has reportedly signed a four-year contract in San Siro, tying him to the club until the summer of 2029.

Rabiot was allowed to leave Marseille after a fight between him and former teammate Jonathan Rowe at the beginning of the 2025-26 season, which required intervention from security personnel at the Stade Velodrome. Rowe has since been sold to Bologna.

Coincidentally, the pair could meet each other in their next league match, as Milan are due to host Bologna immediately after the international break, on September 14.

The Inter Milan I'm seeing this season is not like the Inter that started last season with a very strong force like they had a mission to accomplish, we all saw how they ended last season and I would not like to believe that they are still not ok with the damages that happened to them that they lost all they worked for, losing the champions league and the Serie A title to Napoli.
What is really going on with this players? I think it's clearly time for Inter to rejuvenate their players. Last year, towards the end of the season, the team couldn't make it to the finals, but this year, they started making mistakes and losing at home in the opening stages of the season. Gasperini built up a very attacking Atalanta but in his two first matches with AS Roma, he won minimally with them. This means either he has changed his tactics - that I don't believe he changed, or AS Roma does not have enough good attacking players to play so attacking and score many goals. Another possibility is those players need more time to absorb the tactical philosophy of Gasperini for playing more goal productive.

Scudetto is a very ambitious target and if Napoli could win it last season with Conte, AS Roma can win it this season with Gasperini. Yes, they can but there are many matches till the season ending and AS Roma must work very hard to get Scudetto. If they want to win Scudetto, they must start to think of it now, work for it now as in Scudetto competition, any point drops can decide the title winner.

Yes, that might be a very good thing. Although, basically, with Rabiot's arrival at Milan, I personally am not too sure that their performance will improve. Because in my personal opinion, currently Milan needs to have fresher players. Because basically Rabiot is also not a young player, because he is already 30 years old. So with that, Milan should bring in younger players. Because of course, if Milan brings in young players, it can be a long-term investment for the team. Because basically, currently Milan is lacking young players, especially those in the central midfielder position.

Because currently, the three central midfielders that Milan have are no longer young. For example, there is Modric who is already 39 years old, then Rabiot is 30 years old, and Loptus is 29 years old. So with that, I think Milan should bring in younger midfielders. Cremonese are an interesting underdog but they must play carefully and focus on their main task in this season, staying in Serie A at the season ending. However, I don't think we should be too quick to speculate too much, as a newly promoted team shouldn't be able to pull off a surprise or compete for the top spot. As for Jamie Vardy, there's no doubting his quality, but he's getting very old now, at 38, and he can no longer contribute to his full potential. Perhaps his experience alone can have a positive impact on the Cremonese players.
