I think winning against Chelsea in the Champions League is an achievement. Chelsea are currently in good form in the Premier League, but Atalanta were able to beat them 2-1 at home at the Atleti Azzurri d'Italia Stadium, which I think is commendable. In Serie A, Atalanta are currently in 12th place, a significant point behind AC Milan. Competing for the Scudetto is no longer realistic. Now they can focus more on the important matches in the Champions League as underdogs to advance to the next round.

Atalanta are far behind the league leaders in Serie A, but it's a bit surprising that they are in the top five in the Champions League, with points that are quite competitive, even equal to those of Manchester City and PSG. I also hope Atalanta can focus more on the Champions League than on Serie A, although they shouldn't neglect Serie A to be in a safer and slightly better position than they are now. But the question remains whether Atalanta will be able to go further in the Champions League this season because in the knockout stages the competition will be much fiercer than now.

They are at clear step back from where they were in recent years where they fought to get spots in Champions League, and therefore, it is hard to fix things now because of their bad playing at start of season that left them with huge difference in points. Even so, most important thing is their fighting spirit and their will to fight to come back up, which shows strong team feeling that will likely lead to much better and more fighting season next year, even though only thing they can hope to get this year is just hard time to get better and get spot in European competition.

This is inseparable from several players leaving which can affect the team's overall performance and the best moments, such as in previous seasons, are difficult for them to get this season. In the Champions League they have only lost one defeat in all the matches that have taken place and this is slightly better compared to the competition in Serie A which in its current conditions is having difficulty achieving a level of consistency. Several changes need to be made so that the team can be much more solid and improve so that they can be much better when preparing for competition, especially in Serie A.

This is not easy because several other teams are showing different levels this season so it will be quite difficult for Atalanta to reach the top five in the standings at the end of the season. If they want to get a ticket to the Europa League then from now on Atalanta must be able to show change and must not experience consecutive defeats in every match they will play because if they are not able to play more it will actually make their chances suffer.

I wouldn't be so sad if Napoli lost to any other team. They lost 2- 0  against a weak team like Benfica. Benfica lost their first 4 matches. Their attack is also very weak. This team managed to score only 4 goals in the first 5 matches. Napoli conceded 2 goals  against such a weak team.

Napoli's match strategy was not good in this match. The players lost confidence. Napoli's boys were able to make only 2 on target shots. It is not possible to do well in the Champions League with such a weak attack. Napoli is now in 23rd place in the points table. Napoli will  play against copenhagen and chelsea in their next two matches of the champions league. If they perform so badly, they will lose  these two matches as well.

The fans are hoping for Juventus' recovery. When they see them winning a few games, it's a sign of recovery. They don't even consider who they're playing against.

I think Napoli is having a great championship in Serie A but that's what Antonio Conte always manages to do but in the Champions League he never manages to do well, all the teams he has coached have had this limitation and will always have it, i don't understand what's so difficult about it, but he can't do it

I would not want to say that for Ivantos it is completely normal to lose in Naples, because in their recent games with Spalletti they became better. It seemed to me that Spalletti was slowly improving the game of Ivantos. Defeat is always bad but in Serie A, Juventus still don't lose all opportunities to be in top four and even compete for Scudetto. Napoli have more points than Juventus now but as all other big clubs in Italy this season, consistency is what they all failed to maintain so far. Juventus with current points and rank must try harder than Napoli if wanting to win Scudetto but it's not impossible task for them.

Luciano Spalletti is very experienced and he can help Juventus improving in next months, that will help the club competing better for top four and Scudetto. Juventus have smaller chance than other big clubs in Scudetto competition but it has yet closed for them now.

It's quite funny to see how Atalanta performs, with what they achieved in the Champions League with 4 wins out of 5 matches, they should be able to perform so well in Serie A, but strangely they are only able to perform well in the Champions League and so bad in Serie A. even they were able to beat Chelsea, and brought them to 5th place in the Champions League now, above Real Madrid and Barcelona. this is a bit confusing but this season football is indeed somewhat unpredictable and more teams perform beyond expectations. but I think that what Atalanta has achieved now is only temporary, because other big teams can rise and this can make Atalanta displaced from their current position, maybe in the next few weeks they could start to lose their position, but even so what they have shown is quite impressive.

Atalanta seem to be operating with a similar style of Rafael Benitez when he was coach at Liverpool back then sometime in 2005, when the team was more focused on the UCL more than the league or any other domestic competitions like the FA cup or the Carling cup but would rather channel all the energy in the most coveted trophy in Europe. I suspect Atalanta might be using same strategy and that's why they are getting the results they are getting in the UCL, probably not considered as one of the favourites but this season has been very phenomenal for the former Europa League champions.

Well, your reaction is very understandable especially considering Atlanta's recent league form. On paper Chelsea should been the stronger side, but football often comes down to performance on that day and Atlanta were organized, composed and consistent throughout the match, which allowed them to grow into the game and take control. Chelsea on the other hand, looked off the pace. Their attacks lacked sharpness and that made it easier for Atlanta to manage the game. if Chelsea were in better form and more clinical going forward, the outcome might have been different.

Atalanta is a team that is trying so hard, it cannot afford to give importance to multiple competitions, it would not have the "strength" to face them all in the same way and with the same tenacity.
From the way they are playing they are putting in the effort on the Champions, they haven't achieved excellent results it's true, but they defend their flag very well.
She still has a lot to improve, but she started from the bottom and is slowly coming back and making herself felt on the pitch.

Last season Atalanta played well in early matches but in very last matches, they underperformed and were out of Champions League. This season, they are stepping similary but hopefully they will do better in remaining matches. Their performances in Champions League are opposite with theirs in Serie A and their rank in Serie A reveals about their bad performances in the Italian league.

Some star players are still there but without Gasperini, they were not able to play well in Serie A but they are improving and can find chance to catch top four in next months. Atalanta now have 16 points in Serie A, and have 11 points less than AS Roma, surely it's big difference now but the season is long and Atalanta have no reason to give up now.

Milan currently have 31 points, I think that's no small difference with Atalanta's 15, the point is that in my opinion Atalanta is aiming to commit to the Champions League, in the Serie A championship they are committed but they don't go beyond that.

In terms of the current possibilities, Atalanta will not see any success this season because Milan is currently at the top and winning one match Milan will make them the strongest. Although the season is not over yet, the direction will change in many matches between Milan and Atalanta and we can also see that Atalanta can succeed by strengthening itself and Milan can fail due to weakness. There is no real interest in Atalanta at the moment although they looked like a strong enough team for everyone last season. Atalanta should try and succeed in their next matches. If they fail in any match, they will return to their poor performance.

This Napoli keeps not doing all of what we expect from them, i mean i was not expecting to see them losing against this Benfica for Champions LEague, plus i dont feel being the super team they were in this actual SerieA, i dont know what is lacking maybe with the comeback of Lukaku all comes together, but until now and despite their position i dont see them pretty trustfull.
