This is exactly what Inter Milan experienced last season, as the congested match schedule cost them the chance to win the Serie A trophy, while Napoli took advantage of that advantage. Besides Roma, Milan could also pose a threat to both Inter Milan and Napoli because they are not competing in the Champions League, allowing them to focus more on facing the Serie A competition.

The concern isn't the busy match schedule, but rather injuries to key players, which could impact the team's overall performance. With this weak attacks and bad performances against big clubs, they just lost to Juventus and their fourth position now is in dangerous challenge from Juventus. AS Roma in my opinion will not be able to compete for Scudetto in this season and even a fourth position will be not an easy task for them when Serie A returns after Christmas and new year holidays.

However, I don't see much chance for Atalanta against Inter Milan, maybe they can try to draw the match and a draw is expected, but it's very difficult for them to get 3 points by beating Inter Milan. Atalanta is not the favorite team in this match even with the home field advantage.

When you look only to points difference without taking on consideration other parameters then you have the feeling that English Premier League might be as competitive as Serie A but in reality the Italian league is the most interesting league so far because there is no clear favourite team or two teams. Besides, it is basically the only league where the first place kept rotating between several teams. We might say that Inter Milan is the favourite thing week, then no it is Napoli, maybe AC Milan or even Roma. Actually, there will not be a favourite team before a couple of rounds in my opinion, maybe even until the last minute of the league.

Exclude them man, did you see the lack of offensive power they have? That is not gonna be solved in this season and not in this winter market, so maybe in the next season with a few new players they can be a real contender but in this one scoring so low ammount of goals is impossible, plus they are not doing so well against the big teams.

Yes Inter Milan is best team in league at moment due to their 3-5-2 setup and excellent defense which makes them favorite to beat almost anyone. Although Atalanta will be at home and will play with their aggressive, high pressure style to make game hard, fact that Inter is able to control game and play under pressure provides them with big advantage.

Inter vs Atalanta is gonna happen next days. I'm trying to forecasting the result based on their stats since the early season until this time. Inter is so far still leading the stats with more goal productivity and less goal conceded. However, it's still a bit difficult to accurately predict the resul. It's because this is the first time Chivu meets Palladino.
For me, i'm in favor Inter to win the game by fully dominating it. Atalanta played with only three backs, which is quite easy to break the line. It really gives joy to Inter who often played two attackers upfront.

Roma are known for being a defensive team. In such an unstable competition, it is not possible to win the title with a defensive team. It is not even possible to maintain consistency.
Maybe they can get a good position and try for Champions League qualification. But with Napoli, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus in the presence, I don't see much chance for Roma. Maybe the Scudetto will be limited between Inter Milan and Napoli.

They are going to be fine, they had a bad period after Ronaldo and the finances looked bad and they got fines, so they crashed hard for a while. But they are recovering and the team looks better, they also found a great star with Kenan Yildiz, so he will help them recover too.

The story might be different if Roma had reliable players in attack, such as a prolific striker on par with Osimhen or others. Why am I talking about Osimhen? Because before Osimhen left for Galatasaray, we knew Roma had the opportunity to sign him. The team already has a solid defense. The only weakness of this team is that they cannot convert the chances they create into more goals. The team lacks a specialist in front of the opponent's goal. And with this situation, Gasperini will certainly find it difficult to take this team to a higher level. Gasperini can only take Roma to the level they are at now, no further.
