You are right no team that hopes to win a major trophy in any league will perform with an unstable form, consistency is what makes the difference between among teams , and that is my fear for teams like Roma, AC Milan and Even Juventus because these teams can't be predicted because they can win today and lose the next game.


For now the most consistent teams when it comes to the Seria A are Napoli and Inter Milan. These teams teams has to a large extent showed a level of consistency so I agree that between these two one of them will eventually win the league.

And those three defeats, two of which came against Napoli and Juventus, suggest Roma strength isn't yet strong enough to secure the Scudetto, just look at their attack against Napoli, where their sharpness was a problem, they need to bring in some quality players to boost their chances, which I believe they can do as they haven't made many purchases in the last transfer window.
However I still can't rule them out of the Scudetto race, as the other favorites are facing their own challenges.

The bigger teams at this point actually cannot  afford to make mistakes but then they still are not immune to it, chances are that they may make mistakes at some point and obviously if they do not, winning or getting  a winner for the title will almost not be there because at a time there is going to be about  three to four teams with same points and that alone makes deciding the winners difficult except using goal difference.

With 23 matches remaining and the points gap so close it's certainly too early to favor any one team to win the Serie A title. There will be many changes every week especially as we head into January when each team will have its own way of solving problems and bringing in new players to bolster their respective teams' firepower.

Honestly I am really enjoying the competition I am seeing in the Serie A this season, interestingly even up till this time you cannot say for certain if a particular team is going to win the title  because  they are all doing great and the point difference is just small so we see it that it is possible that at anytime we expect anything from any of the team, but I believe soon we will get past mid season and so maybe we will get s better clue to who alwe will look forward to possibly winning  the title.

You're right with what you said about luck not winning titles and all that. In the case of AC Milan I'd say is been long since we saw them competing for the title like they are not consistent in showing Interest as contenders for the Serie A title and it has been Inter and Napoli for the last 2 seasons if I'm not mistaken which is why you don't see Ac Milan as one of the teams chasing the title. They can be as the top of the table but when drop they'll find it hard to go up, it will be difficult for Ac Milan but if is Inter or Napoli they always show that hunger to lead the table and they have gotten used to it. So I completely agree with you for not including Ac Milan among the title contenders.

Honestly I would exclude them.    Their performance isn't reliable in the long term. They literally have an average like 1 goal per match now. They already started to lose so many points.

Gasperini is a coach with an offensive philosophy because he always applies a formation with 3 forwards, whether 4-3-3 or 3-4-3. Why is AS Roma struggling to score goals? Maybe the quality of the players is not as good compared to the Atlanta players.
But Roma is not a weak team under Gasperini. It is proven from the beginning of the season until now AS Roma remains perched and competing at the top of the Italian league.

It is very unlikely for Roma to truly maintain their position by relying only on defense. They may still have a chance to improve their attacking line, but they have to wait until the transfer window opens again in january. That will be the last opportunity this season to fix Roma’s attacking issues. Otherwise, qualifying for a UCL spot might end up being nothing more than false hope.
