The top three teams in Serie A won their respective matches, so nothing has changed in the standings. The only difference now is that Juventus is in fourth place but has played one more match than Inter, Milan, Napoli and Roma. With only one match left in the first half of the season, who will be the winter champions this season?

I think Inter Milan will be able to maintain their position at the top of the table, even though they face Bologna next week. Understandably, they were bound to underperform in this fixture. They’ve got one of their very best player Lookman lost to his country side Nigeria due to the in going AFCON and Inter Milan which is the better side in this fixture has most of its elite players in place to guarantee this win. Inter won against Atalanta but it still doesn't mean that they did well against a struggling Atalanta, this game was hard for Inter Milan to get that 3pt, from all indications their opponent Atalanta wasn't up to the task at hand, they were poor in all angles. Getting some crosses right and doing things like they have been doing as of last season was a problem, they defended well but allowing that opportunity to be given to Inter Milan is something I think wasn't suppose to be, they had the Inter players in their pocket, all they need to do is frustrate Inter and commit them till the end even if they won't score at least a point is better than nothing.
As it stands, Bologna will some how give much problem to Inter when they meet by next week, I expect something better than what Atalanta did tonight. Inter Milan are not as strong as we see them, they have lost that dominance in them and getting the ball forward to get a goal hardly happens on like when the win the Scudetto the season before but check them now, every team are looking for a way to have a piece of them.

The simple reason is that they're currently managed by Allegri, a coach with extensive Serie A experience. Plus, I see them being much more consistent than last season. Despite their efforts, they still haven't fully achieved their goals in the league. They played much better in the Champions League, beating many strong opponents. However, they couldn't replicate that performance in the Italian league, which surprised me. I thought Atalanta might be able to win against Inter at home, but they didn't put up much of a fight. Juventus with the suprise movement into the top positions but how long can they stay at the top. Spalletti will definitely try to keep Juventus consistent, they have not had the best of the best but he will be responsible for the rebuilding of tue club. The positive impacts brought to Ac Milan by Luka Modric has left me speechless considering how old. Being 40 has not affected his football intelligent quotient,  he was useful in the successful three zero outcome they had yesterday and Christopher Nkuku was able to score a brace the same way his first of many goals for Ac Milan. I think the journey of this season is still very long so we can't say anything because I think in terms of percentage the 4 teams currently at the top have the same percentage to win the title so it's difficult for us to just say Inter Milan can maintain its position at the top of the standings, in terms of matches this season I think anything is possible especially the very small points difference makes me say that the percentage of several teams to win the title this season is quite the same.

Atalanta has no option than to accept defeat at home because they couldn't hold on to their ground. Inter played better than them all through the match. They got a goal in the first half but it was ruled out by VAR before Martinez goal came in at the last quarter of the game. Inter deserves the victory.
