I don't think Como has any chance of finishing in the top four in the table, as that would mean one of the top four teams would have to start dropping points match after match! I think a place in the Europa League would be more appropriate for Como, but the more realistic option would be the Conference League.

Serie A is not my favorite league by far, but the intense competition for the title that occurs can attract many people to follow it. The low points gap makes each competitor's position in the standings very precarious from one match to another, this puts pressure on each of them. Inter, Milan, Napoli, Roma, and Juventus are the top 5 teams in Serie A, they dominate the standings and this is one of the reasons why many people are interested in following this league every week.

This season I don't see Atalanta as a strong team, unlike the previous season. Atalanta have struggled to maintain their good form this season and have struggled to improve so far. Atalanta looked so strong last season, but after Matchday 16, they're still struggling in 10th place.

This season's Serie A is much more competitive than last season. All teams have an equal chance of winning the trophy because the points difference between them is very narrow. There were no surprises this week with all the big teams winning and Inter Milan leads the standings followed by AC Milan, Napoli, AS Roma and Juventus all with narrow points gaps. Interestingly the European zone is also increasingly competitive, with Como, Bologna and Lazio among the contenders. Only Fiorentina have yet to bounce back and improve their league position having lost again to Parma which leaves them at the bottom of the table.

Nice one by Roma! Genoa wasn't a serious opponent but I was still hoping for Roma to score some more goals than usual. They did it with 3 goals, good for them. They really need this in the long run.

I think Como will be good enough to qualify for one of the European competitions, such as the Conference League and the Europa League. However, I think it will still be difficult for Como to qualify for the UCL with their current performance, which is only superior to average teams but still not superior to other strong teams in Serie A. However, they still have a chance, it's just that Como is not yet on par with other strong teams in terms of strength.

What a great performance from Roma in their last game against Genoa. Honestly they really deserve to win that game as their playing maturity this days, before the match start a lot of people’s was stated that they didn’t expect anything much from them; due how their performance guess in most of their previous matches.

Como and Roma has low chances of finishing in the top 4 this season if the big teams continue with their good performance till the end of the season, the league is no very competitive more likely to favour a consistent team and from the performance of the big teams they look like they have all found solutions to their problems and it's going to be a big problem especially for a Como team that doesn't have much super star players to compete with the rest of the teams. Roma has a better chance of they are to compare them and the gap is an indication that it's not going to be easy for Como to finish in the top 4 unless there is a big drop of point from the top teams.

I concur with this majority of the arguments. Six point difference between Como and Roma grants the Chiarucci the rivalry of the fourth place to Como even more difficult since Juventus are starting to demonstrate the competitive stability at last and gain positions in the table. Despite having a game at hand, Como will only be able to narrow the margin, not alter the ranks, and this underscores the fact that their task has become a hard one. This is a much more realistic target than chasing trophies alongside several other strong teams, and I think it's a little more difficult for Como to achieve so far. Como's performance has improved overall this season, but their squad strength isn't yet sufficient to compete for the Scudetto. Even finishing in the Champions League places is considered difficult, as they will face competition from Roma and Juventus, and I don't think that's an easy feat. Como must be able to play more consistently if they want to chase a ticket to qualify for the Champions League or Europa League because the competition will not be easy because several teams I mentioned will also be eyeing those positions.
