It's a shame Napoli journey ended in the UCL competition. I was hoping they could beat Chelsea to advance to the knockout stage. Unfortunately, Napoli suffered a painful defeat, failing to maintain their lead in the second half. Chelsea played very aggressively, with high ambitions to reach the top eight, and managed to put Napoli under pressure at home.

I began to wonder about Napoli performance. While they were doing well in Serie A, their performance in the UCL competition was so poor, managing only two wins from eight matches, finishing in 30th place, the worst possible position for a top flight team.

Napoli's performance in the champions league was disappointing. The performance of the attacking players was very weak. The team  managed to score only n7 goals in the first 7 matches. It was not possible to qualify for the playoffs  with such a bad performance.

I did not think that Napoli would qualify for the knockout round by defeating Chelsea. Anyway , I expected the match to be a draw. But in this match too, napoli's defense played  very badly and they lost the match 3-2. Napoli was eliminated from the champions league, they also started to slowly move away from the serie A title. Napoli will not be able to win any title this season.

And besides that, currently the teams representing Serie A in the UCL, all of them are also unable to enter the top 8 positions, so basically the three teams from Serie A must play in the play-off round first to be able to qualify for the next round. So here I can conclude that currently the competitiveness of the teams from Serie A is not good. But that's okay, because they might play well after this.

Withe the rate the Seria A teams are playing in the champions League, they may not make it past the quarter finals but I guess that the teams that will qualify from playoffs will tighten their belt and train for European competition instead of playing as if it's an Italian football. Arsenal remains the only team not to loose any point in this champions League so far

As a champion of Serie A last season, Napoli should do better in UEFA Champions League this season but they failed to go though the league phase. That's very disappointed result for Napoli as well as for Serie A when Inter Milan have to join playoff matches as well. Napoli and Conte will have to leave Champions League and return to Serie A for better focus on the domestic league title competition with Inter Milan and AC Milan. Inter Milan are strong in Serie A and will not wait Napoli, they will in fact try to take advantage of any chaos, declining form from Napoli to expand different and take as bigger advantage as possible in Scudetto competition.

Firstly they have to wait for knowing an opponent in playoffs, and secondly have to prepare and perform well in two playoff matches for going to a next phase. This first season of Chivu as a head coach for Inter Milan is not actually too bad but in Champions League, he will have to lead his team through two risky playoff matches.

I thought Napoli would show their best performance they can to stay in it. When they got 2-1 ahead I was excited about them. But they couldn't hold on in the second half...

Now the only tournaments left for them are the Serie A and Coppa Italia. But there isn't a realistic chance for them to win the league anymore honestly. Even in Coppa Italia I doubt them a lot.

Napoli failed to take their chances after scoring the second goal they should have won but they become too comfortable with the 2 goals forgetting that Chelsea is a champions League team they understood the simple assignment and they applied it and it worked for them when Napoli wasn't expecting it. Napoli can go and focus on the league since they couldn't make it to the play off. Inter Milan has no excuse football happened to them and to Real Madrid they are lucky to make it to the play off but it would have been better for them to try next season I believe they must have learnt not to relax when they score goals first. Champions League is a very serious competition if you team didn't make it to the next round then they failed to prepare when others were working hard.

Four teams are currently on same level of quality while Napoli losing its depth in last 5 games, they have only 1 win, Juventus entry is interesting because they are competitive teams for having their chance into top 4 which is now looking realistic but on which teams cost is really unpredictable.

Inter Milan is leading by 5 points, AC Milan is doing good job and have good chase, but third spotted teams are having not good time. AS Roma is having improvement which is helping them but Napoli and Juventus will never allow them to stay here, Roma biggest threat is their attack which is having not good performance. Napoli is having injuries issue which bring them down. 16 rounds are not easy for teams with all wanted to have their best, Atlanta is also now preparing good.

I think that Italian teams if put under pressure bring out the best in themselves and i really think that Inter and Juventus are the two teams that can show everyone that they are much stronger than the position they are in, this is my thought but i think there is really a lot of possibilities for them.

However, we can understand this. Napoli did not play with their best squad. Many of their key players were injured, preventing Napoli from performing at their best. So, in my opinion, Napoli's defeat is understandable. What I don't understand, however, is that they also lost in previous matches or only managed draws in games they should have won. losing to Chelsea is understandable. But it's the previous matches that are disappointing. I won't criticize Conte, as he has done his best. However, Napoli even lacks good substitute players.

Napoli deserved to go out but i must say that it is not only their fault, this s1uadra has been decimated by injuries and they cannot find a good game with the players they have, this thing shows and for what they have done it has been even too much compared to what they are doing with this current team.

Inter Milan also have a much more penny project behind them and this thing can be seen, clearly it is not comparable to Milan, let's remember that these players made the final of the Champiosn League.
They did not find themselves there by chance, they are really good and strong, so it doesn't surprise me .

I have to say you're right, sadly, and i am telling you this as a huge AC Milan fan. Unfortunately, AC Milan has basically just scraped by in recent years. They haven't had a detailed, precise, and perfect plan like Inter.

It always difficult when playing your last game under pressure, maybe just maybe if it was not the last fixture of the tournament Napoli might have had a good day in that game, they played under pressure, they played with fear and they played with caution and that why I was not even surprised seeing them losing this match. Napoli had a beautiful first half, even when they were a goal down they were still able to put a couple of good passes together and they created chances but everything changed in the second half, Chelsea introduced cole Palmer and i would that made a big difference in that game.

Napoli will now have a o focus on tha league, for me I still think they are in a very bad spot to win the scudetto but in this game of football nothing is impossible. Lukaku Is back and for sure he always make a big difference when he his around. Let see if Napoli can give the chase for the scudetto a final push.

I don't see Napoli as a top flight team because they haven't veen consistent with finishing on top four in Seria A. Just because they lifted up the title last season doesn't mean that they're amongst the top flight team. Look at their current performance in Seria A, they're sinking gradually and I don't expect them to qualify for UCL next season but for a lower European competition.

Before the match I already knew that Napoli are out cos there was no way they were going to beat Chelsea but they wanted to surprise me when they went ahead to lead the game but it didn’t last till the end for them.

Football is just that, it is simply unpredictable, even if they have played amazing football Inter must go and make the playoffs but it doesn't surprise me, is nothing new, these are things that happen, clearly there are things to do in these cases, always commit yourself more.

Juventus was much more useful as it used deadly fast attack to score with help of Dusan Vlahovic and Kenan Yildiz before Filip Kostic scored final goal in 88th minute to remove any idea of them turning around. I think this result shows that stiff way used by Antonio Conte at Napoli is not doing well with more modern plans, since their midfield were not able to create real chances with ball in their hands. Such big victory makes Juventus certain favorites of league victory this season.

Napoli is getting worse and worse, Conte in the long run leads the teams to the roof.

Not even 1 goal of participation managed to obtain, Juventus certainly played better but this however does not mean that a team like Napoli can receive 3 goals without reacting to the blow, profound disappointment.

Napoli have conceded several goals in three days from both Juventus and Chelsea, and i think that the defeat against Juventus is responsible for the problem they had in the Champions League, losing like this then puts you under pressure and makes you mess up, obviously not having many starting players has also created many problems!
