Boring matches for the first half of the month, not a single one worth watching, this is just point accumulation time for the ones that are still having a clue how they need to play a game. Like seriously, someone please name one game that might be worth it.

The fun starts in two weeks, with Inter-Juventus and Napoli-Roma, direct matches for teams that have actually a target and they get screwed if they lose.
But of course, some might be interested in Pisa-Verona, lol, as if it would matter if you're last or second last.

Today I don't expect Inter to lose points. Cremonese have been in horrible shape. I just can't be sure of Juventus though. They can always get bad results in simple games in this situation. 

I don't expect Inter Milan to drop points today against Cremonese either. Since the Serie A league resumed this year, Cremonese hasn't recorded any wins in the Serie A matches they have played so far this year, and I don't see them recording a win against Inter Milan, so I am expecting a smooth and easy win for Inter Milan against Cremonese today.

Even matches like Pisa vs Verona are important to some people. There are fans of smaller teams, and I'll tell you more! Those are the real fans, who support the team that represents their city!
Milan, Inter, Juventus or teams from other countries such as Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester City, etc. have millions of fans. Do you think they all come from the city of that specific team? I'll answer that for you: no! They are casual fans who support that team because it has prestige and because they win, not because they feel a sense of belonging.
So even a Pisa vs Verona match is interesting, but not for everyone.

The final result of the match was Napoli winning 2-1. But Fiorentina fought well in the second half and put Napoli under pressure for some time. Napoli is in third place in the points table, they may have to give up this place very soon. Napoli is still far behind to compete with Inter Milan in the championship fight, there are only 15 matches left in the season. Winning the title by overcoming the gap of 6 or 9 points in just 15 matches will not be easy. Inter Milan may not give them this opportunity.

Napoli's performance has declined drastically, and I doubt they can compete with Inter for the title. My doubt is because Napoli only won 2-1 against Fiorentina, whereas their poor form. Even with 15 matches remaining, Napoli's chances of finishing in the top 4 are likely and that's a realistic target.

If you look at it, Napoli played well in both halves because they scored 2 goals. Because of this, their performance was good in the second half as well and it was easy for them to win, but when Fiorentina scored in the second half, Napoli won because of 1 goal. If Fiorentina had scored another goal, Napoli's performance would have decreased and 3 points would have been lost. They would have been difficult for Napoli right after scoring, but they controlled it and won. After this win of Napoli, they have come in third place. If they win this next match, they will come in second place. If Fiorentina had to succeed, they would have played with full effort and they could have gone up 2 positions, but let's see if they can save themselves in the next matches or fail.

Lazio wins dramatically over Genoa. I admired the intensity of the match because both teams showed their strength on the pitch, in spite of that it was a tough match and couldn't have been otherwise given the changes, but it's a shame that the usual defensive uncertainties ruined a good performance, being that Genoa were very unlucky and Lazio took three golden points.

I felt like Lazio was more alive when coach Simone Inzaghi was in the team, along with Sergej, Immobile, Luis Alberto, Lulic, and Strakosha. If they continue to play like this and expect to win every match with penalties, they could take risks against teams of a lower division than theirs. Without penalties, In my opinion, all three penalties were fair, but a draw would have been the fairest result. Lazio currently has a chance to place in the 7 Conference groups or win the cup, get through the UEFA groups and play in the Super Cup.

Atalanta did not start this season too well after losing Gasperini and they got many draws but they gradually returned to better form and are trying to join top six of Serie A. Now before this direct match with Como, Atalanta have 5 points less than Como and this match is important with Atalanta as an opportunity to beat Como and reduce difference to only 2 points. If Atalanta can do this, they will see top six of Serie A nearer a little bit and actually can get in this area. Top four is likely too far for Atalanta but they have to focus on match by match and see how last 16 matches of the season go.

I would have been very happy if Como had won the match. But they were very unlucky. They performed very well. They also dominated the entire match. But even then they are not able to win. The team had 79 % ball possession in the entire match. They also controlled the match. Of the 28 shots they took, 9 were on target. On the other hand, atalanta did not make any strong attack in this match. They managed to make only 6 shots. But in this match Atalanta's defenders and goalkeeper played very well. If the goalkeeper did not perform well, Atalanta would have been defeated for sure.

Before the match started I thought the same as you because both teams are at the same level, only Como has a slight advantage as the home team and confidence increased when Atalanta played with 10 players in the 8 minute due to a red card but unfortunately Como's luck never came. If you look at the match statistics you might be surprised, Como fired 25 shots and 9 were on target some of them should have been goals, but it's not that easy. This draw prevented Como from reaching the top 4 of the standings although I hope they are there to get tickets to the Champions League next season. One of the things that I'm quite disappointed about is that Conte almost always reduces the aggressiveness of his game when he is ahead, which is good, because maintaining a lead until the end makes them get maximum points, but it can backfire, we can see it in some of their previous matches. And today game was one of the proofs, because I'm sure if Conte played the same game as in the second half, they could have won more than this. Luckily Fiorentina are indeed at their worst this season, otherwise a different result than Napoli expected could have happened.

Yes, that's right. It seems Napoli won't be able to defend their title this season due to their poor form which has seen them drop many points. They did just win against Fiorentina but that's not a reliable indicator as Fiorentina are indeed struggling this season.

Looking at Napoli's schedule for the next few matches, they'll also face some tough matches. Napoli's current inconsistency stems from numerous injuries and Conte hasn't quite found the right form yet. So, perhaps targeting a top 4 finish seems more realistic for Napoli than defending their Serie A title. The problem is that AC milan and napoli are not performing consistently. Inter milan are performing quite strong and consistently. That is why it is a very difficult task for ac milan and napoli to reduce the gap with inter milan. If Inter milan can keep their performance somewhat stable then it will not be very difficult to occupy the top spot of the table. I would say that AC milan is the only one who is fit to compete with Inter Milan for the title at the moment. Napoli  are not performing strongly now.

Napoli definitely needed that win, third place situation is sensitive and if they do badly then things could change, so it's great that they got the win.

But it was against Fiorentina and they barely got the win, it is really not that crazy to see something like this and one would assume a better result should have happened. I am glad that they won don't get me wrong on that part but they are not looking like a great team at the moment and feels like there is a possibility that it's not going to be easy at all.
