What a big and crucial win by Fiorentina last night!    I think nobody expected them to win by a score like 4-1. They are always unpredictable because of having a very poor season.

The most interesting match of the round is Como - Roma, the fight for 4th place.

Well, I got this one wrong, on top of the others I missed also!
One might argue about the red card but it's still a part of the game, Roma fucked up!

And Milan, lols, it's the usual, I'm not even complaining anymore, I said it already a hundred times, the team can't find a pace and stay on it, it's always like this, they can't impose their gameplay, they are always reacting to the others and , well, these are consequences, you can't win a game if in the second half while always attacking your solution is kicks from 20 meters away in 99% of the cases.

I'm afraid of the next CL , really afraid it might end humiliatingly.

I watched the highlights here today. I don't know how accurately they convey the essence of the game, but it seemed to me that the red card had no effect on the final outcome at all, Roma were helpless. Now the chances for the top 4 are:

Milan - 1.05

Napoli - 1.08

Como - 1.90

Juventus - 1.90

Roma - 4.50

I hope Juventus doesn't make it into the top 4, because if they do, it will be a dull big four all at the top again. As for the Champions League, it can’t get any worse  Serie A has already settled quite low.

The odds for Como is too good and I think it is a honey pot for gamblers. It's really interesting to see the odds for Roma but I agree that they have worse change to finish in top four compares to Juventus.

While I am impressive with Como performances so far, I don't believe that they will complete this season with a fourth position.

When you have the right players and hire the right coach, there'll be steady growth and improvement in the team performance. I will give all the kudos to Fabregas who transformed the club to this level. I wouldn't be surprised if by next season, Como is among the title contenders because it's possible if they continue improving their performance. They're really doing great this season.

However this kind of thing can't be a benchmark for a team's development. There's been a similar situation but in the end the coach was the first to be fired by the club. Therefore sometimes with the existing players all that's needed is to make a few changes to recruit new players. This is also based on the coach's needs as the coach understands both the team's strengths and weaknesses.

This is exactly what's happening with the current Como team where the collaboration between the old and young players and the coach was once questioned by many. But now we can see what they've done for the team. To face the upcoming challenges the team simply needs to add a few new players to address the weaknesses of the team coached by Fabregas with the goal of strengthening the team and delivering its best performance next season. Moreover they may even be able to secure a spot in the Champions League next season.

Yes, I think the failure that Inter had in the UCL is what's inspiring them to perform well in the Italian league because it's very obvious that the league title happens to be one of the few title that Inter might have a chance at winning if the like of Napoli would let them, last season Inter Milan failed to win the Scudetto as a result of the fierce competition between them and Napoli and their pursuit for European glory but since they have exited the UCL , I think they would focus fully on the Serie A.

It should be like that because by winning the scudetto it can redeem the disappointment of Inter fans who were eliminated in the Champions League but after that defeat it seems to affect the performance of the players because after that defeat Inter could only win 1 match out of 4 matches they played so Inter needs to refocus and ignore their previous defeat in the Champions League and continue to advance so they can win the scudetto this season while the points difference from the team below them is quite large so Inter must be able to take advantage of that.

Well, it's true that Inter Milan hasn't really moved on from the UCL experience and which has actually led to points drop in their last 4 games, drawing 2, lost 1 and won 1, which isn't a good result for a title contender. Perhaps it's a psychological issue with the players remembering how they've made a shameful crashed out of one of European most prestigious competition, the UCL, in two seasons. But if they can fight to get victory against Fiorentina this coming weekend it would not only improve their confidence but also in their points gap to the title race.

I was also surprised to see Fiorentina win big against Cremonese. If I'm not mistaken, this is Fiorentina's only win with four goals scored in a single match this season. Many people are wondering whether Fiorentina's performance is improving after their big win against Cremonese, as Cremonese is in the relegation zone. Well, judging by Fiorentina's remaining nine matches, it seems difficult for them to get enough points to avoid relegation, especially since they are only four points away from the relegation zone. However, I hope Fiorentina avoid relegation this season.

It was indeed a bad outing for the Italian clubs as only one was able to make it to the second round. Now, Atalanta has little or no chance to make it to the quarterfinals. I wouldn't say that the quality of the Italian League is poor, but it is obvious that they need to improve.

Italian teams were not so active in the transfer window this season. Most players who moved to the Serie A were either average or free agents. They should be willing to break the bank to get some of the best footballers in the world that will help them do well in Europe.

At the start of the season, we knew Fiorentina had been in the relegation zone. in fact, they were in second to last place at the time. And I think many people were quite pessimistic about this team at the start of the season. But now the team is slowly starting to pull away from the relegation zone. and well, Fiorentina really should have shown this from the start. because this team is usually among the top-tier teams that consistently compete in the top 5 or 6. but this season the team has been truly disappointing.  Still, as long as they manage to avoid relegation, that’s good enough for this team.

Como is doing great this season honestly. Aside from defying top teams and winning against some of them, they also have good results overall and one of the best results in the last five games among all teams in Serie A. AC Milan already have a very successful season, as they have not only been in top four but also competed for Scudetto, that was not in any prediction before this season beginning.

With Inter Milan, winning Scudetto in this season with a young head coach like Chivu is a success that was even not in their plan by replacing Inzaghi with Chivu in the last summer. Success with Chivu in this season is good and can help Inter Milan moving onward to the next season with more ambitious plans like going farther in Champions League.

Fiorentina made a  great comeback. A few days ago, the team was in the relegation  zone. And many of us thought that fiorentina would fall into the relegation  zone. But the team has played well in the last few matches. And now they are out of the relegation  zone.

This was the home match of cremonese. Cremonese team was not in good form either. Even then , it is always difficult to secure a victory with a huge margin of 4-1 . Fiorentina performed well and won by a large margin. This confirms that they are back in form and  the team is not interested in falling into the relegation zone at  all. And it shows once more why picking the right manager could make so much better and picking the wrong one could make you so bad. If you have only one goal left, you'll try every means to achieve it. We can say that about Inter. Sometimes when season is coming to an end, most teams we expected to have performed better in the beginning of the season but failed will want to try their best to escape the relegation zone which I think was exactly what Florentina did yesterday. They did really well to have defeated Cremonese 4-1 away from home, one victory against might confirm them out of the relegation battle because they don’t deserve to be relegated this season despite the fact that they performed really poor.

This win is good for them because they will be playing against Inter Milan next week; I know that they have less than 20% chance of getting g a draw in that match, so this victory will keep them above the relegation zone for some time until they manage to defeat Verona or Lazio.

Yes. Fiorentina is slowly starting to recover. They started the season very poorly, even being in the relegation zone several times, but now they're starting to improve in the remaining matches to stay in Serie A. I'm not surprised by their convincing win over Cremonese, as Fiorentina is one of the top teams in Serie A, and Cremonese is also in poor form having suffered a losing streak even going 15 games without a win. This victory moves Fiorentina further away from the relegation zone and they're starting to improve their form, temporarily accumulating 26 points two points above the relegation zone. Conversely, this defeat leaves Cremonese in the relegation zone requiring extra work for the remainder of the season to stay in Serie A.

With nine matches remaining Fiorentina still has a chance to climb into the top half of the standings. It won't be easy especially as their next match will be against Inter the Serie A leader. But with the current performance, if they continue to be consistent they can give Inter Milan a fierce fight especially since the match is being played at home.
