Does anyone know what's happening with Romelu Lukaku? Leaving aside the subject of injury, today I read this news about him:

From what I understand, he's already recovered from his injury, they called him for training, and he's refusing to go. I confess I can't understand why he doesn't want to train. Is it that now, just when the World Cup is approaching, he's thinking about playing for the Belgian national team without playing regularly for Napoli? Unpleasant behavior on the part of the club. I may not know some of the details, but from the outside it looks like this: last season Lukaku made difference and Napoli became champions, this season he has been plagued by injuries and has hardly played, but his replacement (Højlund) has performed well and now shows zero tolerance for Lukaku. I didn’t think of Osimhen go had being the issue with Napoli, he’s being phenomenal since he joined the club but, wasn’t accorded the respect he deserved and had to leave in the end. Can you share the source where you read that? As far as i know, Romelu Lukaku has a really good relationship with the club, especially with Antonio Conte, so i feel like this might just be fake news (at least I hope so).I also think everyone has the right to recover wherever they want, even if that means going back home.

I've not come across any news like that so I'm not going to believe that till it's confirmed. On  a second thought, Napoli has lost a very important striker and won't like to lose another good profile striker due to a misunderstanding that should've been easily settled. Antonio Conte love to work with Lukaku and won't love to lose him so I believe he'll step into the matter if it's really true cause I still don't believe the club would want to have internal issues with another striker

This is the source of the local news I read regarding Lukaku, and several other media outlets have reported the same thing, I was a bit unsure at first, but when I saw that several other media outlets were also reporting the same thing, I thought it was true.
Perhaps the issue isn't the tension with Conte, but with Napoli management. They said they would impose sanctions for Lukaku. Hopefully, Napoli will confirm this.

Napoli still needs Lukaku, just as the team once needed Osimhen. however, I think both sides need to be understanding of each other. Lukaku might feel more comfortable undergoing his recovery in his home country. meanwhile, Napoli certainly wants to do everything possible to speed up Lukaku’s recovery, because the team really needs him.

Napoli did not have too good resources like Inter Milan but how they surprisingly won Scudetto last season is a magic and they must realize how great management Conte did for them in the last season even they lost both Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia. I don't actually know the full story about this but am not really surprised about this because romelu lukaku has his own record of forcing moves away from a team he is fed up with, and skipping training is one of his antics.
While Napoli on the other hand always have problems with most of their players, especially when they don't want to stay any further, i just hope it's not as bad as the case of Victor osimhen when he was at Napoli, where he never wanted to stay any further, and they started stripping him of everything in the team, but I believe that in this romelu lukaku situation, with time, everyone will know what's the real problem of the player, and why he chooses to disobey the club by refusing to train when he should have.

You are right, I'm looking at the current gap between both teams which you mentioned earlier as just a point difference. Both teams are definitely determined about the outcome of the game which is to win on both sides as draw or losing from either Napoli or Milan will only cause deeper gap or an overtake by Napoli. I see Napoli with some chances of winning over Milan even if it is slightly learning from the knowledge I got based on their previous encounters playing against each other. After looking at their last 5 matches playing against each other, Milan has only won once throughout the five games and the remaining four games were won by Napoli including the last game. Though you will also want to look at the last match Napoli played against Calgari which they still won despite it was an away. They have also been consistent with their wins, coming out victorious in their last 4 games. Milan does not seem to be doing incredibly well looking at how they lost to Lazio and Parma in their last 5 games.

Lukaku always does this, but I feel like defending him, I don't think it's appropriate to point out this player who has always given so much to all the teams he's played in, he really seems like a professional to me obviously when he does this, there's definitely something else behind it I'm sure, he would never do this
