There's a 7-point gap between Napoli and Inter, but I don't know if that gap can be closed in the remaining 7 matches.

Milan not only lost their championship hopes but also their chances of finishing second. Napoli climbed back into second place in the league. I don’t really know what is wrong with Milan they obviously doesn’t have an attitude when it comes to playing this big games, they’re supposed to show some resilience in this game, and this are things that makes this games a very competitive games when big teams are playing and facing each other’s, it always brings a different atmosphere, but unfortunately for Milan they couldn’t perform to the fullest of their abilities, right now Inter Milan are sitting comfortably in the Leading standings and it’s obvious a good performance from them and it’s a very exciting game as well I must say, now they have to keep winning to keep their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive.

Milan needs to do some shopping during this summer transfer window, the Italian league is getting more and more competitive every season, you can see the likes of Como putting in a very strong performance this season and if they continue like this next season they may go one and win the league. Inter Milan is strengthening, Juventus is gradually getting back to their old ways, and Not to talk of Napoli who are the defending champions. So I think Milan needs a summer rebuild ever since they sold Tijani Reijnders to man city they’ve not gotten a proper replacement for him, Luka Modric is 41 as you just said so he can’t play for long, he’s a technically gifted player no doubt but the physicality of the league is getting tougher, Fulkrug is certainly not the player to lead  Ac Milan attack and Rafael Leao needs to know that he’s senior player now at Milan and should really up his game.

Even if it happens, I believe it will happen at the end of the season, so for now Allegri must focus on being able to bring Milan to finish at least in the top 4.
For the runner-up position, it is indeed difficult for AC Milan because of their very inconsistent performance, but I only hope they can finish in the top 4 and play in the Champions League next season. Regarding the shortcomings in the AC Milan team, there are indeed quite a few that need to be fixed.

They have completely lost that hope of pressuring Inter for the title race, now we have Inter competing against themselves same as it is in the epl with Arsenal. Something that I hate more is moving Allegri to be Italy national coach, is not cool honestly. Are they expecting the club to start rebuilding again? This is how a team is suppose to grow maybe next season they will become a dominating force to challenge for the title, if this is the decision or what Allegri have decided then it won't end well for the club because some players who have gotten used to how he managed the club might choose to leave the club. As for Leão, he is a big time joker, very unserious and no wonder he is not making the first team, even if he does there is nothing he brings to the club, always showing up his wasteful behavior on the pitch, he has dropped form completely and they can't rely on him. The 41 year old man Modric has been the face of the club since he arrived and he always shows his experience, they need more of him.

A few days ago we thought AC milan would fight for the title. But the performance of this team is very  irregular. Now Ac milan will probably  not be able to hold on to the second place in the table.

If milan's attack was a little  stronger, it would have been possible for the team to compete for the title. Although the overall performance was good, they are behind due  to the weakness of the attack. Milan lost 1 -0 against napoli. Milan was  able to make  only 1 on target shots in the entire match. It is not possible to compete  for the title with such a weak attack.

You are correct. The absence of DE Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku has caused a serious harm into the squad. A squad which is just trying to survive with a few number of sqaud depth they have gathered. The hurt is what is hitting the Napoli guys badly and little can be done to make a change without them. As of Conte, I also see him leaving if he has a better offer elsewhere. It is good to roll with the team and so bad to roll with the losing team. Especially when you are pushing hard but it does not give you a good result. Inter Milan is gradually dominating over the Serie A with their wins and if some of these teams do not fix their squad depth the way they should, it will only give Inter a upper hand.

De Bruyne has already returned to action and will play today against Milan.

Napoli are a good team, but this season they had to deal with major difficulties when their attacking line was hit by injuries. Lukaku was out for a long period and still hasn’t regained good form. De Bruyne was also absent for a long time, which isn’t surprising since he has been quite injury-prone in recent seasons. I think Conte should have been prepared for that. Because of this, they allowed Inter to build such a significant points gap, and I don’t think they’ll be able to close it now. However, finishing above Milan is possible.

Napoli overtook Milan after defeating them Milan will now have to maintain winning consistency if they will finish in the 3rd place if they are not careful they will have to contend with Como and Juventus though they are 5 points ahead of Como and 6 points ahead of Juventus but it they are not consistent they may end up losing the 3rd position to Como. Allegri involvement in the Italian national team is still a rumor but if he finally leaves Milan they will have to look for another manager and players who are not too old because they have old players but just Luka Modric who happens to be one of the oldest player in the team.

I wasn't expecting much from these two teams because it's seems as if the two coaches incharge of the two teams respectively share similar ideas about football, Allegri isn't known to be much of a strategist and doesn't play free flair football and so is Antonio Conte, both coaches have worked with several clubs in the Serie A and during their times with these clubs you will notice something common about them, they usually do not score too many goals in their matches, that was why the match between Milan and Napoli wasn't exciting perhaps.
