I think interest in football is declining in Italy as well. Today there was a Lazio vs. Inter match and there were huge empty spaces in the stands.
Ten years ago, we wouldn't have seen such empty stands.
Inter easily defeated Lazio. Lazio's first attack came after the 60th minute, and Isaksen couldn't capitalize on that opportunity.
Perhaps if Isaksen had been in the starting eleven at the beginning of the match, Lazio wouldn't have been so bad.

I think the major reason behind the low turn out the home fans today at Stadio Olimpico was because the visiting team had already won the Italian Serie A while the home team isn't competing to at least finish in the top four so to fans, there's nothing to special about the game.
I expected Inter Milan to actually win that game so I wasn't surprised with the result.

You could say there was nothing special about the match, so the crowd wasn't very enthusiastic and on the other hand, Inter Milan had already secured the championship early. Lazio also wasn't in the hunt for any position this season, so the crowd wasn't very enthusiastic. Just six minutes into the match, Inter Milan scored through Martinez, further strengthening their dominance. A top-four finish is no longer a possibility for Lazio, as they are now significantly behind Roma and Milan in points and with only two games remaining in the season their chances are over

Milan is 2.15 with Atalanta tommorow, Roma is 1.55 away over at Parma!

It's still a hard call but, if Milan manages to lose in the last 3 games its CL spot after while mid-season they were still a challenger for the title and in quite a close race, then Allegri needs to go. Well, he needs to go anyhow for this disaster in the second half, but this would not just be the final drop but a rain of drops.

They play Cagliari and Genoa next, normally 6 points with bottom-level teams that have nothing to show, but with their current gameplay, you can't be sure of anything!

Inter Milan won Scudetto already, and competition for three positions in top four is actually hot with Napoli, Juventus, AC Milan, AS Roma and Como. Napoli with 70 points look to be the safest club in this competition but they need like at least one more win to secure a position in top four and avoid any shock on the last match day.

Juventus after a win hours ago, almost secure their position in top four too and this win from Juventus also forces AC Milan into a harder competition with AS Roma and Como. Let's see AC Milan now have only 3 points more than Roma, 5 points more than Como, and today they will play with Atalanta that is not an easy opponent. If AC Milan lose points, their fourth position will be more dangerous or even officially taken over by AS Roma.

I agree with you that with current bad form of AC Milan, they might lose a fourth position anytime and it's kind of shock if it happens after many weeks they competed with Inter Milan for a first position until very sharp decline recent weeks.

Verona vs Como

At some point I felt Como would still be in the top 4 teams on the log but luck wasn't on their side and as of that period they face teams that wasn't easy to beat even the game they are suppose to get 3pt they played a draw but Inter gave them a hell of a battle when they had the little chance of settling in the top 4. Today they face Verona in the early kick off of today and I don't expect them to even play a draw, a big win because I don't think the host team can stop them in this encounter... I'd go for Como to win and over 3 goals. Your predictions!

Other than that Juventus are playing against Lecce today. After the ridiculous Verona draw they had better win this time for top 4 goals!

The result of this match was Juventus finally won with a very narrow score of 0-1. In this match,, Juventus managed to get a chance to score a quick goal in the early minutes of the match and finally it was executed well by Vlahovic and gave Juventus the lead. But unfortunately after that, Juventus could not score again because the Lecce defenders played really solidly. So because of that,, Juventus had a very difficult time scoring again in this match.

So honestly,, even though Juventus was able to win this match, I don't feel too satisfied with their performance in this match, because basically, Juventus' performance has not been very good for several seasons. So basically, they don't have a truly sharp forward anymore. So because of that, Juventus has had a very difficult time scoring many goals, even though the opponent is not too strong. So because of that, I think Juventus in the coming season clearly needs to find a better striker so they can compete again for the title in Serie A. Because it's been quite some time since Juventus won Serie A. Therefore, next season, Juventus must revamp their team for the better.

They do well if they break flow of possession teams such as Como. Verona are playing at home, and that is where they love to play with high pressure and take lead, but Como do not appear to have read  game yet in defence.

Waiting for big win may be bit over optimistic as Verona is in danger of extinction and will probably park bus. I do agree that Como technical superiority is better but I do think this is going to be tight 2-1 or 1-1 proposition and not goal fest either. If Como fails to score in first 20 minutes, Verona Low Block defence will be that much more difficult to break. I expect it to be close victory for Como but Over 3 Goals market seems risk after Verona recent defensive efficiency.

I think Como will win comfortably against Verona. This is very important for them to maintain their European cup and especially Champions League aspirations. Juventus won yesterday and secured their Champions League qualification spot. Como must win today and carry this ambition into the final weeks. Roma is currently another of their rivals, playing against Parma. Milan will face Atalanta. Como needs to win this week to capitalize on the possibility of their rivals dropping points.

They must race with Roma, Juventus and AC Milan in points, as in goal difference they have advantage while in total points they have disadvantage and are trying to change it.

Since Inter Milan has won this season's Scudetto, if it was Inter Milan that had low turn out from their fans in their match against Lazio I would have agree it was because Inter Milan had won this season's Scudetto that caused the low turn out from their fans because some of their fans will lose interest to watch Inter Milan matches, but for Lazio to have low turn out from their fans even when they played on their home soil I believe the cause of that is beyond Inter Milan winning this season's Scudetto. I didn't expect Inter Milan to win Lazio since they have won the Scudetto because they don't have what to play for so I wasn't quite surprised when I saw Inter Milan winning Lazio 3-0.

Of course, the result didn't surprise any of us. Inter secured a comfortable victory and, on top of winning the championship, showed how much they still value the league. I really like Inter in Italy, and I hope they can now show similar performance in the Champions League. They were finalists last year, but suffered a heavy defeat in the final; they need to put that behind them. I expect them to build a very strong squad next year.

Milan were once serious contenders for the championship, but their Champions League qualification is now in jeopardy. Atalanta are a very tough team, and they haven't done badly in the Champions League this year. They could get a good result against Milan. Milan's qualification is also in danger; they have no choice but to win this match. Similarly, Roma must win against Parma.

This match is honestly a bit hard to predict. Both teams have been inconsistent lately, and based on current form, they look pretty equal.

Milan should have the edge since they’re playing at home and they really need the win. But the big issue is Modric will miss this game, and his absence could seriously affect Milan’s midfield. Meanwhile, Atalanta are also under pressure because they still need points to secure a better spot in the table and qualify for European competition next season.

With both teams feeling the pressure, a draw feels very possible here. I also don’t expect a high scoring game since both sides will likely play it safe. Under 2.5 goals looks like a solid pick, or if you want higher odds, the draw is worth trying.

Como got a scrappy win but but at this time of the season a win is a win and getting all 3 points is all that matters especially when you are playing away from home. They hopes in getting a champions is still very much alive but they would hope to get hopes from other team. I feel getting a champions league football will be hard for them but surely they will get an European competition next season.

They have had an incredible season, to see them getting an European competition next season is really a good thing and cesc fabregas has really done a very good job with team. A lot teams are keeping tabs on Fabregas to see if they can lure him out of Como by the end of season but so far he has said him commitment is with the club.

Atalanta seems like losing motivation for the tournament. this could help Milan secure three points even though the team's form has been very poor lately. Roma is playing Parma who have also lost their motivation for the tournament and could overtake Milan if they win.

Juventus finally got the win that they needed, in order to keep the fourth place they had, they need a win and because of that they had to get a win and they did. They are technically third place right now, but Milan could take it back very easily of course, so I do not think that this will change much.

But once again, being fourth place is very important, third place won't change much for them but fourth place will, because it means they are doing a wonderful job and will be at UCL next season.
