Chivu just continues to impress!    They got a really nice win over Lazio in the Coppa Italia finale without even conceding a goal. He is about to finish his first season with 2 trophies!

He must have secured his future for next season there. His contract already lasts until 2027 summer though. But you know what I mean.

Simeone's name was rumoured with Inter previously but I don't think it will happen. Inter don't even need such change.

I don’t think they struggled against Lazio. They were well prepared for this match and finished the season with two trophies thanks to this cup victory.
They won the trophies they deserved, and I think they will achieve even better things next season.

Qualifying for the Champions League is crucial for the squad they're building. They can use Champions League participation as a key factor in convincing players they want to bring to the team. Predicting which team will end up in the top 4 is really difficult right now. Even though we know Milan are under pressure because of their poor form, their chances are still wide open. And if we look at the remaining fixtures for Como, Milan, and Roma, it becomes even more surprising and hard to decide who truly deserves that top 4 spot.

From my current speculation, I think Roma will finish in the top 4, Milan in 5th place, and Como right below Milan.

It would be nice if Como qualify for the Champions League next season, but the chances is very slim, they didn’t take their game seriously like they did at the start of the season. I was impressed by their performance, they newly promoted to the Serie A and see where they are fighting to finish the season. Perhaps the players are not motivated enough like they used to be from the beginning, honestly, this isn’t the same Como I saw at the start of the season.

I don’t know what is happening with AC Milan at this point, they only have three players out of their squad, yet they couldn’t win their game. The players are not playing as if they want to be in the Champions League next season, they have zero win in their last three games and lost two in a row. Their chances of qualifying for the Champions League is now at risk, having the same number of points with Roma.

Serie A doesN't make GD the main tie-breaker, that's why AS Roma is still below AC Milan even though they're superior in terms of GD. The main tie-breaker in Serie A is the H2H points between teams, the reason why AS Roma is below AC Milan is because AS Roma lost in H2H, you can see in their 2 matches this season, the first match was won by AC Milan & the second match ended in a draw.

Inter can now prepare for the Champion League next season.

Lazio chance of qualifying to any European tournament next season is at risk, they did not participate in any of the tournaments this season, and they are still going to miss the opportunity to play next season. They are 7 points behind Atalanta who is currently ranked 7th in the league. They will face Roma in their next match, and im not sure if they can get a win against them.

Yeah, the cup was theirs to take, and they did the double this year. While it was of course shameful for them to lose to Bodo and was expected to get a win there, it was clear that Inter was not good enough to win the entire UCL, so why does it matter if they lost a bit later or sooner.

They won all they realistically could win and that is what matters. Last year they literally lost all three, and very closely as well, so this year getitng both is very good. Inter is building a great team, and trying or at least attempting to be like Bayern and PSG for Italy, but it is going to be a lot harder, lets see if they can actually do that, given enough time there is a chance that they could do something like that.

This is indeed an extraordinary performance from Inter this season and we can imagine that if they can go further in the UCL this season it might be a very good journey for them this season. But all of what they have achieved certainly makes them worthy of being one of the best teams in Serie A.

Their achievement this season was only failure in the UCL competition but otherwise they have succeeded in all competitions. I think they will be even more prepared for next season because they have goals in that competition especially since in the previous season they were very good and in the phase they wanted but ultimately they also failed to achieve what they wanted. So they need to look forward to next season with a positive and optimal attitude.

But Inter Milan brilliance this season is not just  result of their players, it is result of their discipline. They shift from defense to attack very well and are very difficult to break down.
