The race for Champions League qualification is currently underway in the Italian league. Milan and Roma have become the other two teams in the top four of the Champions League standings after Juventus's home defeat in the final week. With only one match remaining, we will witness the battle for a Champions League spot. Juventus shouldn't have suffered that defeat at home. Their chances of qualifying now depend on a miracle.

Como being able to go to UCL is not going to be something nice for them, it is not going to fix their problems. They are going to lose Paz for sure, and there is even a chance that they could lose Fabregas as well, plenty of bigger clubs wants him, and if Tottenham stays, they may consider him for real. In any case, if they do go to UCL even with Nico Paz and Fabregas staying, the team is not good enough to actually battle there.

What will happen is that they will be out of top 24, and they will get more money that way anyways and be happy, that's it. No success chance even exists for them. I think the Europa league is also a good achievement for them, they have really tried and the team will make good money from that; however, just as you said, some of their players will be attracted to big teams, and they might lose some valuable players including their coach.

Yes, it seems the Champions League dream is over for Como and Juventus. Theoretically, they still have a chance, but their opponents are facing weak teams. They are almost going to drop in the European rankings. It's hard to predict where they will be in European competitions next year. I was absolutely certain they would qualify for the Champions League, but it seems nothing is certain.

Roma performed Impressively at the end of the Season, Slowly improving their performance by winning their Matches. Roma earned three points when They beat lazio. Lazio certainly isn't a Strong team this Season, their Performance has been completely disastrous.

In their next match, Roma will face a team in the Relegation zone. I believe their fate will be tested in this match. If roma can continue their winning streak, They will play in the champions league next Season. However, If they fail, Como and Juventus could overtake them.

These days we don't see much drama for the title race, it is either teams struggling to escape the relegation zone or teams to fix themselves in the champions league spot, these are the battles that are making the end of this campaign interesting to watch. Juventus have made a similar mistake in the past and now they find themselves in that same path of paying for their mistakes. This shouldn't have been them trying to move in that top 4, they had everything they needed to stay at the top 4 but some crazy games they're suppose to win didn't go their way like this game they lost to Fiorentina, it should have been them leading that encounter, can't really say what went wrong in that game and now they need that miracle to play UCL games next season, the teams above are also hungry to book a spot in the top 4 so let's see if the miracle will occur on the last day for Juventus.

Yes, I agree that this could be the most impactful loss for Juventus but let's not forget that just a couple of weeks ago Juvents drew, at home, against Verona, a team that is already relegated. I don't know why they've been struggling so much lately but, as a Juventus supporter, I can surely say that we don't deserve to participate in the next Champions League. The team is a disaster.

Como has been my favorite team for a while now in this league’s season but I am not sure if they can still qualify for the champions league which will have become a great achievement for them. Como is currently standing at the 5th position of the league after Juventus recorded their lost. Como could still step over Roma to come fourth if eventually Roma comes loses their matches and Como is able to win the next game, chances are they will move ahead of Roma too giving them more chances of qualifying at the Champions League. It is quite a dicy situation right now and we will wait and see if the outcome will favor Como at the end of the day.

Como have been doing great things but I think they are not ready ready to take part at the Champions League. The team is good, for sure they are going to buy some new interesting players, but they have more chances taking part at the Europa League. Same as Juventus, to be honest as a Juventus fan I'll be glad to participate in the Europa League because we may actually win it.

Roma are playing their best this year in order to be able to play in the Champions League next year. They had a very bad period, but they never lost their consistency. Roma have already secured their Champions League qualification spot. All they have to do is win their remaining match to maintain that position. I think they can do that. In a big match with Juventus weeks ago, Roma led the match till the very last minutes before Juventus equalizing it 2 - 2, so it's well deserved for AS Roma if they beat Juventus in top four competition eventually in this season. To surely get a position in top four, AS Roma must win their last match and won't have to wait for results from other competitors if they don't have 3 points in the last match with Verona.

Their last match will be a home away match but playing against a club at the 19th position is not like a big challenge for AS Roma. Verona are weak in both attack and defense so they will not be able to score goals against one of best defense systems in the league, while Roma with Malen can score goals and win this match.

I’m also looking at this match, and Roma’s motivation for the game against Verona is absolutely huge. I almost have no doubts that we will see a Roma victory in this match. By the way, the odds on Roma have already started dropping rapidly. I think the same applies to Milan, even though they have been very inconsistent in recent games, they are still capable of beating Cagliari at home. For Cagliari, this match no longer has any real importance, while for Milan it is extremely important. So I think that Como and Juventus will remain in the Europa League.

They are absolutely not the only ones who want to achieve this goal and i think that in the end they will succeed in some way, but i see Roma as good, honestly better than other teams like Juventus for example, which is no longer anything special.

@el kaka22, it is true that getting a Champions League ticket would be a huge achievement for a club like them. It would also bring in a lot of money. But your fear is not unfounded with the squad they have they can lose their way on that big stage. Even the main pillar like Fabregas and Paz who are in this circle can be taken away by other big club. Given their current pace I think getting a place in the Europa League seem more realistic and sustainable than the Champions League

@Hyphen, you are right. Being able to register in any European competition this season is a huge success for them. Be it the Champions League or the Europa League. With the experience and large sum of money they will gain from here it will be much easier for them to build a ferocious team on their own.

They are absolutely not the only ones who want to achieve this goal and i think that in the end they will succeed in some way, but i see Roma as good, honestly better than other teams like Juventus for example, which is no longer anything special.

Yeah, Roma does seem more ready for the UCL. Although I’m still not sure if they’ll be able to go far or not. it’s just that in the UCL, even teams that aren’t top contenders in their domestic leagues sometimes end up performing well. so I’m also quite curious to see Roma play in the UCL next season. But we’re still not entirely sure whether Roma will qualify or not, since it all comes down to matchday 38 or the final match of the season. but if I had to say whether Roma is more prepared than Juventus or not, the answer for now is yes, Roma is more prepared. However, I personally have a hunch that next season Juventus will improve and even exceed our expectations. Although that’s just my hunch.

Mathematically, it's possible for Juventus to qualify but in reality they will need a miracle because not only their results will matter but the mistakes of teams like Milan and Como.

Juventus has ruined all the efforts made up to now, i don't understand how Sparletti can accept something like this, it's simply a team that no longer has the desire to commit to the objectives they had set themselves, this is very serious, you can't leave a team like this in the lurch.

Hmm it's still very much complicated trust me it is, because while we are talking about Juventus let's not forget Como is still there also, and the last time I checked Como is not in bad form this season, so the top for race is still very much open and if they are not careful enough they might lose that spot to either Como or Juventus so they really need to keep them head straight while fighting the last fight comes this Saturday, and for Juventus I'm really disappointed in them because if they have been consistent they wouldn't have been in this state.

After trophy has been handed to them and placed in trophy cabinet, players get their attention diverted to injury prevention and to enjoying season. Just on Sunday I attended the parade of Inter in my country, whatever result they get in the next matches changes absolutely nothing.
They may not even show up for matches, they've reached the finish line and rightly aren't interested in doing anything else anymore, it's not a sporting attitude, but ultimately they gave and they achieved, they can also rest assured.
Verona is the team they are, they need a lot of changes, but now they can only prepare (as best they can) for next season.

Como demonstrated to everyone that a team that by all accounts is mediocre compared to the big teams in the championship can make a difference and can make an incredible journey, they have overcome Juventus, and i think they could even go to the Champions League, the possibility is there, and that doesn't mean it won't happen.

This is nothing new and happens almost every year. For example, last year Atalanta finished third, and Lazio was second in 2022. This year, Juventus will likely be the one club from the big four that doesn't make it into the top four, and the club that does above average will be Roma or Como. I prefer Como better, but the main thing is that it’s not Juventus  When Italy plays in the Champions League with the same set of teams it gets tiring. Rotation refreshes both interest and the entire championship, Italian clubs are not so well financed and the income from the Champions League provides a big boost.

What do you expect from a team that has nothing to lose by losing that game? This is why some people still believe there's a cases of match fixing even in the top league and it's more reason why it's unsafe to bet on teams that already won the league. I'm not here to confirm whether Inter Milan involve in match fixing or not but Inter should not having difficulty beating Hellas Verona especially on the final day to close the season. Betting platforms are allegedly take part some time just so they can cash out from gamblers that play the stronger team to win. Most of us play Inter to win in this match but see where it landed us.

Atalanta failed to beat Bologna at home. Bologna was the better team, and we can definitely say they deserved the three points. In a match that ended scoreless in the first half, Bologna managed to cut the points gap to 3 with Orsolini’s goal. Since Atalanta didn’t lose this match by two goals, the advantage still lies with them. Since the goal difference is already in Atalanta’s favor, there’s no chance of them losing 7th place, so losing this match doesn’t pose a major problem for them.
