Napoli return to winning ways Many football fans like me are shocked to see this team in ninth place in the Italian league this season, as the team won the Italian league title in the 2024/25 season but it seems that the team today picked up their first UCL win of the season in a very competitive game.

The team was performing badly in the Serie A league matches and we observed that they also performed poorly in the Champions League matches as they lost two games in a row but today they won 4/3 against the Bodo Glimt team and the team's Scotland player McTominay scored a brace.Which makes it a bit easier for them to pick up a win from this Champions League match.

Football is one game with an unpredictable occurrence,  a team may do perfectly well this season and also has great hope of continuing in same momentum but ends up in an opposite direction. 
The case of Napoli is not the first,  season before last Liverpool won the English Premier league in flying colours and had a promising team but ended up in  betrayal the next season. Of a truth all are disappointed in Napoli's performance at the early stage but I will say there performance against Bodo glimt is a perfect sign they are working on their deficiency to gain the consistency level all expected from them and am sure very soon they will do better.

Conceding two goals after leading two goals up against Inter Milan has made me continue doubting them even before the Como game. When the season started, Roma seemed to be the favourite to win the league but from the look of things right now, it may be difficult because they will need to get very serious with their remaining games. Napoli has not been having a good season as they have struggled to win and even went ahead to lose against Venezia.

Roma is supposed to win this game but perhaps, Napoli will be willing to take a point to strengthen their place in the league and avoid going down further.

this will be a match where Roma will practically destroy Napoli
will play at home, with a huge desire for redemption, with a very good coach (Gasperini) ... he will win for sure

The third match in the UCL was truly a memorable moment for all the Serie A teams competing there, as every team managed to win their third UCL match this time around.

- Napoli defeated Bodo/Glimt 4-3,
- Roma defeated Slovan Bratislava 4-0,
- Como even managed to defeat Manchester United 4-1,
- Inter Milan defeated Shakhtar 1-0

I hope this momentum can be maintained in the upcoming matches. In their next match, Roma will also face Manchester United. And if Como can do it, then Roma should be able to as well. Although, yes, Manchester United has incredible squad depth, we know their performance has really taken a drastic downturn.

It's true that everyone won this time around, but let's be clear, apart from Como's feat, which practically destroyed Manchester United.

On paper, Roma should win, first of all, Roma have started the current season with great dominance, and they are winning most of the matches very well, but Napoli's performance is a bit bad, they have lost 2 of 3 matches in the Champions League and have won only 3 of 7 matches in Serie A, their form is not very good. Although the match will be played at home by Napoli, and so I am also a bit optimistic about a draw in this match. According to Roma's current form, it is very difficult for Napoli to win against Roma, but Napoli can definitely lead the field to a draw, I think they have at least this strength, and at the same time since the match will be at Napoli's home field. Roma is one of the most in-form teams this season, so I don't think Napoli will win this match. If Roma continues to play in their usual style, they will win the three points. I think Roma is the best option to bet on.

They can play very well in some matches and surprise their opponents, but generally, the team lacks consistency, and every match is a surprise for them

I didn't read anywhere that said Gasperini had issues with Atalanta over anything related to finance. What I read was that he was looking for a new challenge, and I think he has the right to do that after spending about 9 years in Atalanta.  
In a sense, the whole of the Italian league is struggling financially. This is a reason Italian teams can't really compete with other top teams. They can't afford top players, and they can't even keep the top players they already have.
The while league needs money though. Without money, they won't be able to compete against other top teams i Europe.

I like your line of thinking. I would like to point out separately that Napoli have been terrible this season so far - they are bad both in Serie A, where they have 3 wins, 3 losses, and in the Champions League. In their most recent match, they barely managed a win against Bodø, while conceding 3 goals in the process. The current odds are as follows:

In my view, it’s a perfectly decent compensation for the risk, and the Double Chance bet on Roma offers a solid 40%. I haven't set up any multi-bets for the weekend yet, but I will be considering this game for sure.

Not only Napoli, Atalanta and Juventus have also experienced a decline in performance compared to last season. Although there are still many matches left and still a chance to catch up on points. But what they have shown certainly indicates that these teams are experiencing problems. But this is the competition, there will be teams that dominate, and there are teams that experience changes.

AS Roma has also remained undefeated since the start of the season. They are a very solid team capable of delivering top-notch performances. We saw how hard they fought to avoid defeat against Como in Round 6, where they did everything they could to avoid losing points despite being down a player due to a red card. They also put on an excellent performance against Fiorentina in their season opener. And AS Roma is one of the teams that has conceded the fewest goals so far which proves that they are fighting with all their might in every match they face. I have no doubt that AS Roma will be able to dominate Napoli in the upcoming match and even secure a victory. And Napoli’s poor performance against Venezia last week makes me confident that AS Roma will definitely be able to defeat them.

I have kept como as a definite winner in this match. If we consider the current performance of como and Sassuolo then we can see that como is far ahead in all aspects. Especially seeing como's performance against Manchester United, there should be no doubt in anyone's mind. I will definitely bet on como in this match and I hope como will win this match by a big margin. como's attacking part is very successful at the moment. Sassuolo's defense is not in a strong position in this match, it is expected that como will easily break Sassuolo's defense.

This is an exciting match for us to look forward to. You could say this game is a meeting of two teams with almost the same playing approach and surely this match will also be interesting to see the strategies that will be applied by both coaches.

Allegri definitely needs to improve their consistency after dropping points in the last few matches while Gasperini will try to maintain the unbeaten momentum with organized play and effectiveness in attacking. This season Roma is predicted to compete for the trophy with Inter and Lazio especially since they are currently only 2 points behind the top spot. Of course, the match against Napoli is a game they must win to keep their confidence up. Looking at their current performance Roma is highly favored even when playing at Napoli home especially since Napoli under Alegri is still not fully solid.

Almost all the big teams in Italy we know for their quality and formidable form aren't what they used to be in the past, and Napoli is among them and also has suffered a decline in their form. A 10-point gap isn't too much of a gap for them to catch up with if they're serious with their business and looking at the number of games remaining until the end of this season.

I'll also add a little analysis to strengthen the prediction. Napoli are likely to be without one of their centre backs, which could affect their defense. And looking at Napoli's win and loss record, as you mentioned, I'm becoming more convinced that Napoli only have a chance of getting a draw and no chance of winning, even though they are playing at home.

BTW, Stake has boosted Roma's odds to 2.59. And usually, when Stake boosts the odds for a favored team, the match tends to end in a draw. I don't know if it's just a coincidence or not, but I've experienced it three times already.
