Freiburg vs Leipzig - Can Leipzig continue their unbelievable start to the season? They are defying the odds so far this season & I expect them to get another 3 points here.

I've been in good betting form tonight Grin i knew Leipzig were doing really well this season. I just did a bit of research into their situation & it seems they're not well liked in Germany -

.............................

No matter how hard they try, and regardless of what they achieve this season and beyond, Bundesliga new boys RB Leipzig will struggle to ever be loved beyond their Saxony base.

In a recent poll carried out by the Braunschweig Technical University, the club bankrolled by the Red Bull energy drink conglomerate were deemed the most unlikable professional outfit in Germany, finishing 36th out of 36.

Already this term, their first ever in the top flight, opposition supporters have wasted little time in reminding them of their unpopularity. Hamburg fans staged a “No to RB” protest march before the teams met in September, while the game with Cologne had to kick off 15 minutes late after opposition supporters blocked the arrival of RB Leipzig’s team coach. Past episodes have even included a bloodied bull’s head being thrown onto the pitch by a Dynamo Dresden fan.

“The project of the promoted club from Leipzig runs counter to all that connects us to football,” declared the Sudtribune Dortmund fan group in a communique. “It’s a scandal that a marketing branch of an Austrian drinks manufacturer has been able to obtain a place in Germany’s top league. It contradicts all sporting and emotional values.”

For many fans of Germany’s long-established clubs, RB – who were playing in the fifth tier of the domestic pyramid only six years ago – simply represent an alien football culture. They are viewed as a Johnny-come-lately, test-tube operation, built on everything that “real” football fans detest: the overt commercialism, the lack of local roots and history, and the nouveau riche spend, spend, spend transfer dealings that saw the newcomers shell out over €50million euros on talent in pre-season – a figure only bettered by Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Wolfsburg.

Large swathes of the Bundesliga’s terrace-dwelling romantic traditionalists genuinely feel that RB are only in the game to sell a product and they see absolutely no merit in what Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz has achieved since buying little SSV Markranstadt in 2009. There soon followed a change
of name – officially they are known as RasenBallsport Leipzig (which translates as “Turf Ball Sport Leipzig”) – and a massive investment of around €300m to date.

One of the most controversial aspects of the RB revolution is their attitude to German football’s famous “50+1” rule, the notion of which is that fans/members hold the controlling stake in clubs. Although technically signed up to the covenant, RB Leipzig stand accused of merely paying lip service.

Even a non-voting membership card in Leipzig costs €800 – over 10 times what a Bayern supporter would pay – and whereas Ruhr rivals Dortmund and Schalke each have some 140,000 members with the ability to make their voice heard, RB only has a paltry 17, and most of those are Red Bull employees.

Despite the hostility they encounter, the club have gone from strength to strength on the pitch and that success has continued into this season. Meticulously organised by coach Ralph Hasenhuttl, they are excellent in their pressing game, full of vim and desire, and could not have made a more impressive start to life in the top tier, pulling off a shock 1-0 home victory over last term’s runners-up Dortmund, thumping Hamburg 4-0 away and then holding Champions League participants Borussia Monchengladbach to a 1-1 draw.

Indeed, in some ways, RB are actually a positive for the Bundesliga, not least in their devotion to youth. The club have a policy of only signing players under the age of 24 and this summer they brought in central midfielder Naby Keita from RB affiliate club Salzburg, striker Timo Werner from Stuttgart and Scottish winger Oliver Burke, who less than a fortnight after arriving in a €15m deal from Nottingham Forest, came off the bench to set up the winner against Dortmund.

Widely regarded as the architect of the club’s success story, director of sport Ralf Rangnick – who also served as coach in their promotion-winning campaign last season – says it makes perfect sense to have a squad with an average age of just 23. “To my mind, experience can be overrated,” says Rangnick.

RB are also undeniably putting east German football back on the map. Following Energie Cottbus’ relegation from the Bundesliga in 2009, the former DDR has been a top-flight wasteland for seven long years, and as for the city of Leipzig – the birthplace of Deutschland’s football federation – it had not witnessed an elite fixture since the spring of 1994, when VfB Leipzig (who are once again playing under their former name of Lokomotive Leipzig) finished bottom of the pile.

Critics might like to label RB Leipzig as a “plastic club”, but in terms of support they are anything but. While other non-member clubs such as Wolfsburg and Hoffenheim have to bend over backwards to attract people through the gate, the fan scene at the 43,000 Red Bull Arena – the old Zentralstadion which was sumptuously renovated for the 2006 World Cup – is flourishing. The team averaged gates of 28,616 in the second tier last term, and this season they are comfortably selling out on a regular basis.

Unfortunately for the purists, with their financial support, outstanding infrastructure, Rangnick’s know-how and a solid plan, RB Leipzig are here to stay.

Glad will be those who, as me, bet on Leipzig Wink ! 10th vs 1s with odds of 1,95 for Leipzig, what a joke Cheesy !

It is not really a joke and it is very normal if you see it in many aspect. Last season I got alot of juicy odds as well for leicester. The bookies is still not confident with leicester so the odds is totally much higher than most people expected. Enjoy while it last because thing like this doesnt really last forever

What's up with this club Leipzig?  I haven't heard anything about them before and now they rule the Bundesliga?  Is this another Cinderella story or does the club have new owners and spent millions in the transfer market?  In all honestly it is good for the league that some other club is  breaking the dominance of BVB and Bayern.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Dortmund I think there is good hope for both teams to score @1.70, Eintracht Frankfurt on home ground getting succeed to score a goal and same happening with Dortmund when it is playing as away, but I think Eintracht Frankfurt will save this match by playing on home ground.

I don't think Bayern Munich can prevent conceding goals in this match as well. Bayern Munich - Bayer Leverkusen though odds for Leverkusen are very high and isn't good to touch them too. Both teams to score yes @1.90 is best available alternative of many things with maximum chances of ending this match at some really nice profit.

B. Monchengladbach vs Hoffenheim I think both teams to score @1.57 will be nice choice, because I don't think Hoffenheim will give up easily there recently they are much better than B. Monchengladbach possibly will hold the match there and over 2.5 goals is also looking because both teams are playing good there.

They are not the same anymore, they lose against dortmund and even lose in the champions league. Even when they think they are safe in the champions league they should not be conceded that many goals and even worse lose the game, kinda proofing that without their main squad they are nothing

How could they not in the top of the league, they fought for it with blood and sweat. It only took less than 2 minutes and they exploded. They never failed to score goal in this season, totally 27 goals, I really need to consider betting over goal next time they play. 6 points clear on top, might stay still because Bayern Munich are pretty bad form now.

Club doesn't have new owners. It was just founded 7 years ago by Red Bull. They were promoted that year, so not very surprising that you never heard of them !

Double chance is more comfortable for B. Monchengladbach vs Hoffenheim. Draw or away @1.84 I don't say Mgladbach is not strong at home but it is Hoffenheim what is showing great piece of work overall. I will do favor it by placing my bet on it with taking another aspect in consideration too. Which leaded me to double chance bet.

My Bundesliga picks for today.

Frankfurt vs Dortmund --> Dortmunfd wins (1.68)
Koln vs Augsburg -->Koln wins --> (1.82)
Monchengladbach vs Hoffemehim --> over 2.5 goals (1.62)

Koln is the favorite on home ground and should have no big difficulties to win against Augsburg.
Gladbach against Hoffenheim isn't that easy.Hoffenheim shows good performance and Gladbach is some more disappointing this season so far. However I think they could win against Hoffenheim or reach a draw. That's why I willl go with over 2.5 goals and hope for a 2:1 or 2:2 end result.
Dortmund away at Frankfurt is some challenge as well.In terms of the table they both have 21 points and only the goal difference is responsible for the gap of 4 positions. But I think Dortmund can win this match and as a supporter of the blackyellow I will place my money on them.

FC Koln vs Augsburg I'm quite sure FC Koln will win today encounter at home ground it will be easy for them to stop Augsburg there, that is why I have my bet on FC Koln at the moment they have good track record on home ground so it will be worth to it to place bet on it.

SC Freiburg - RB Leipzig to be honest I consider bet on this easy to win being on Leipzig. Odds as expected are really nice @1.96 moneyline and I will also remain straight for away. Since first match in superior league Leipzig is playing extraordinary. I will not take results how they played against each other at inferior level matches.

But of course. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out. RB Leipzig has not lost a game and all these years has always been strong and they keep rising to the top. The money of the mighty Red Bull is to be thanked for this.

This match is good for profit making purposes where any option about goals is full of potential ,Hamburg v Werder Bremen. I divided my bet into two parts where first is for first half over 1.5 goals @2.50 is risky but chances are touching peak to get it. Both teams to score yes @1.58 for full time and I am going to win at both.

It doesnt take a genius however dont underestimate freiburg. Leipzig might have the upper hand however freiburg is really a tough opponent as well. The odds to be honest is quite low when leipzig actually has less than 50 % chance to win the game, the risk is actually pretty high for leipzig

I saw some people are going for same game FC Koln vs Augsburg. Koln at home has shown repeatedly its strength is better team to take risk where chances are in your favor and you are almost have won in advance unless some unexpected situation doesn't appear Koln has already made its own mark of trustworthy to bet on it straight.

There's no way RB Leipzig pull of a Leicester City scenario. They are not talented and deep enough to keep these performances up until the end of semester.

I think so that is very big challenge for RB Leipzig how long they could get succeed to maintain their killing form into this league, Bayern Munich will win this league because they have more talented players and will win their in long run there.

Although Bayern Munich have a greater chance of winning the league  but RB Leipzig still have a few other options as luck
Weaker team and a new entry into the main competition can rely on luck to beat stronger team . The opportunity is open when Munich was the focus of competing in the Champions League.
Yes really is very surprising because such promotions team RB Leipzig can be on top of the standings, it's like Leicester in the EPL last season. But I think Bayern München will still maintain the Bundesliga title. Although they will focus on the Champions League but they reinforced a lot of quality players, I think they can certainly manage the players to stay fit on all games.

Almost everyone thinks like this Munchen back champion this year but RB Leipzig will continue to haunt Munich
If they continue to play well munich will be missed
Yes indeed RB Leipzig will continue to haunt Bayern Munchen, point difference between them is the 6 points and it was far enough. It will be difficult for Bayern Munich to compete for first place. But this is still a mid-season, something will happen. See Bayern Munich has a lot of professional players that into consideration my chance to win the first place of RB Leipzig are also still open.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Dortmund that is very interesting clash both teams are into wonderful form and from my point of view both teams to score will be safe choice, this pick is like to have free money with less risk factor because Dortmund is away maybe they will win this battle but very hard to go without conceding a goal.

If you factor in the draw of course Leipzig might have less than 50% chance to win. But not by much. The odds ended up with Leipzig being a very slight favorite at -105. If you take out the draw the odds would be -222 or a 69% chance to win for Leipzig.
