Yeah they have lot of scores but despite I still think there should be a proper no. 9 in the squad. Today Oliver Kahn said that they aren't looking for a striker at this point to fill in for Lewandowski. Maybe this works in Bundesliga but I still have my doubts in other league they have to play in like CL. Well it all depends on what they think and right now they are convinced that they can kick the season off without a proper striker. Hope it doesn't creates much problem but they gotta need to think about it at some point later.

I see Bayern Munich getting some fresh air after not having Lewandowski. This means there is an opportunity for other players to be able to show their abilities. But they have work to improve before they focus on the attack line, namely defense. The match against Leipzig is an evaluation material in my opinion, the 3 goals against them shows that they are not really ready in defense.

Bayern Munich always plays an attacking strategy. Their midfield and forwards are still strong enough, even though Lewandowski is not in the squad. But just how strong they are without Lewandowski can only be seen after watching Bayern Munich's performance in the Champions League. However, Bayern Munich's defense is not strong. They realize that the best defense is to keep attacking but the problem is still the same as before when they are busy attacking even though sometimes they forget the defense area.
The 3 goals that Leipzig created 2 of them were due to errors due to too much letting the Leipzig players in the penalty box.
Maybe in this case they have to improve it especially for dead ball cover service because some of Leipzig's corner kicks really bothered them.

I just saw Mane create the first goal on his debut which I think it's a good start for him. Many people were unexpected his performance in Bayern because of the different atmosphere from Liverpool.  He also shows us he is quite capable to filling up the Lewandwoski position, even a match last night is still too early to rate his performance but we have optimism that Mane skill is not too far from Lewa.

Mane is really trying to prove that he is not much different from Lewandowski in terms of scoring goals, with the results he has already achieved like Oliver Khan, there is no need to worry because Bayern have not lost their goalscoring machine

Oliver Kahn may not need a new striker if Bayern Munich were only competing in the Bundesliga, they could still win the title without the presence of an ideal striker to replace Lewandowski position. The presence of Mane can increase Munich's attack power, but the number 9 striker is needed.  The Bundesliga is not like the UCL, in European competition there are so many elite clubs from various leagues that participate there, Munich will find it difficult when dealing with big teams. Liverpool just beat Man City with a landslide score of 3-1, what if Munich was met with Liverpool, Oliver Kahn should have thought further before the transfer window closed. They must not leave the empty space left by Lewandowski, if Oliver Kahn wants to see Munich go further in the UCL, he must immediately look for a new goal machine for Munich.

It was not just nice, but an easy and important goal to boost his confidence in the bundesliga. Bayern made no mistake signing Sadio Mane as i believe his name will become a regular name on the scoreboard and he will be a contender for the highest goal scorer in the bundesliga this coming season. He will be under close observation in the coming days when bayern play Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolfsburg, VfL Bochum in their first bundesliga games to see if he has well adjusted to Bayern's style of play.

Honestly, I am sorry to say that I am not very confident about what they are planning to do. Entering into the season without a proper striker can be a big problem. But I also agree that they are not likely to face too many problems in the Bundesliga. However, they will face difficulties when they compete for the Champions League trophy and other leagues and competitions. I don’t know if this is the strategy for them heading into the next season. They will try to play a four-four-two formation probably. But it is going to be challenging for them to score a lot of goals like they did with the help of Robert Lewandowski.

Bayern Munich still seem to be very solid even though they haven't signed anyone for Lewandowski's place in the team. I liked them very much against Leipzig in the Super Cup match. The score might be misleading as they won 5-3 by a last-minute goal. Because actually they had a really dominant game and it reflected on the score first as well. It was Mane's first appearance at Bayern Munich too by the way and he started really good by scoring a goal which was nice to see.

I like the discipline of this team the most. Because despite their losing strength in the attacking side after losing Lewandowski they still fight hard and score very easily. This is a feature of them that the other teams envy.

Bayern have good defenders and with the arrival of de Ligt, they will find a suitable strategy for sure. Overall, it was a nice start for Bayern.
DFB-Pokal matches for today ended without surprises and with big scores for Schalke, Bielefeld and M'Gladbach = 21 goals in these 3 games. Dunno if Hertha defeat could be seen as unexpected since they weren't that good lately, after all they lost with penalties. Kiel defeated too, if I am not wrong they eliminated Bayern from the cup last season.

Maybe Bayern looked solid but in my opinion , Leipzig played well and even more they scored 3 times and this should be a signal of Bayern defenders as even last year , they took a lot of goals for a team like Bayern and I'm afraid this year won't be different. Will this affect their winning rate ? I doubt it as even if you score 3 times , they will manage to score 4 times or even 5 times to make sure they win.

Now , for UCL , I have big doubts about Bayern and how far they can reach in competition but we will see.

If RB Leipzig already lose 1-4 to Bayern Munich at home, who could beat Bayern? I don't think Dortmund has a chance against Bayern Munich either. First Haaland gone, and now Haaler can't play for a while either. He has other things on his mind than playing football. Bayern could very well walk away from the competition and then it has already been decided by the time of the competition. It will be especially exciting for 2nd place.

Bayern did quite well from the first half. But as @Doell said it is true that Bayern's defense is not strong enough, making it easier for opponents to attack them in the second half. But congrats also to Sadio Mane where his first debut with Bayern Munich ended in victory and he contributed one goal in the first half. No Lewandowski doesn't seem like a problem for Bayern Munich because Sadio Mane is already spearheading Bayern Munich next season.

Bayern have a pretty good tradition in the previous seasons when they had their first match in each season with a record of winning often. Whether this trend will continue after their star Lewandowski moved in this summer window, I can't wait to see the competition next season hoping their rivals can break Bayern dominance in the Germany league.

I also watched the match and i have to say that Bayern looked quite strong in some parts but also a little shaky at the same time. The whole offense did work surprisingly well for me and i have to say, that at least in yesterdays game it was not obvious that Lewandowski was missing because Müller, Mane, and Gnabry made a great game.
At the same time, the defense look just as shaky as it was in the last season. Of course De Ligt needs a little more time to get used to Bayern and the way that they are playing.

It's not about them changing formations, it is about them finding a better way to fit the players they already paid a lot to. I mean do you really think that they made all these transfers so that they could bench them? Of course not, but not all of them play in different spots, they overlap which means that there are two options.

Either you are going to make them play together and find a different method of doing that, or you are going to keep one in the bench and just spent a ton of money for nothing (or bench your existing successful player). I do not see second one happening, which means that they need to find a way to play all of them together somehow.

My opinion about this topic is like this. Bayern Munich have four right-backs in total now. It is the same for centre-backs as well. Considering this situation maybe they would be willing to sell Pavard for a favorable offer. Chelsea wouldn't see it as a problem as long as they reach an agreement on a sensible amount. Pavard is a skilled defender and versatile as you said. Chelsea would make use of a player like him too much now. His market value is 30 million euros and I think they can have a deal at a level around 40 million the most.

the wing position is still filled by sane and gnabry, then the mane is placed in the wing-(attacking) position. but just like you, I also really like the cohesiveness between mane and muller

Muller was amazing, he was able to adapt quickly to the mane (and vice versa) after Lewandowski's departure to Barca
