I admit that I promised myself a little more about yesterday's Borussia Dortmund - Bayer Leverkusen match. Borussia and Bayer seem to be Bayern's main rivals for the Bundesliga championship, but if they are in this form, Bayern can be confident of winning the championship many rounds before the end of the season.

After Haaland's transfer to city, Dortmund will no longer have such a great chance of winning the title. Bayern Munich are a very strong team despite the absence of Lewandowski, to be able to keep up as a rival Dortmund need to perform much better.

Yes indeed if Borussia Dortmund want to be a competitor to Bayern Munich they need to improve themselves. But I doubt they can do that, because their main focus is money. Lol
So far, I don't see any other team that has the potential to compete against Bayern Munich other than Borussia Dortmund. But Dortmund did not do what was expected.

Statistically Leipzig did win but so far until the 53rd minute the score was still 1-1, indeed if Leipzig continued to put pressure like that it was very likely that the score would finally be won by Leipzig. Also, if I consider from a head to head point of view, Leipzig is a team that really dominates the win and only got a draw once, with such considerations Leipzig have a good chance to win and the odds are very good.

Yes, this is true. Going by the performance of the team right now, Leipzig is dominating in the game and hopefully if should continue mounting pressure even as they have played up to 60 minutes now, I think they will have all three points in the game. Talking about their head records, Leipzig have had more wins but so far this season Stuttgart has shown good performance in their pre-season games I think they deserve to be applauded for equalizing so fast when Christopher Nkunku scored that early goal in the 8minute of the game. Let's see who will get the three points or hopefully we may see a draw.

You got the result you wanted and with this result too, Stuttgart managed to make two draws in head to head. In addition, I personally never considered this Stuttgart a weak team because in the Bundesliga there is no team that is the most consistent except only Bayern Munich. Therefore, although in the previous season Stuttgart did not look good but basically the trend of every club in the Bundesliga is always not so stable, so it is not surprising for me that Stuttgart can end its first match with a draw against the favorite team.

With each game, it's more and more obvious that Lewandowski overestimated himself - a huge part of his achievements was the merit of the team. Lewandowski will score goals in barcelona, not as many as he did in bayern because if you look at his age and the fact that barca are a team in transition, you will understand that things may be a little bit different there, but Lewandowski will be a success i am sure.

While Lewandowski in three games (even taking into account the fact that they are friendly) did not score a single goal. this is true, Dortmund I'm sure they are not targeting the league trophy, they just want to finish in the top 3 and then sell potential players at high prices and that has made them satisfied. in the match against Leverkusen, I can say Dortmund was quite lucky but with their squad not so convincing, I doubt Dortmund will be able to fight other big teams like freiburg or bayern.

Doesn't matter if you have 100 shots, or 99% possession or anything like that. If you didn't get the three points then you didn't get it. Maybe just a tough day which happens and that's fine, but these are the type of games that you should win because you will need them later on the season, it's okay to lose or draw on the first game, but when you dominate like Leipzig did, and still not win, that's a shame because you won't be dominating every single game like that, hence why it could be a problem.

In any case, it's just first week, we are seeing what the lineups are like and we are going to be seeing a lot more of these teams before we can actually judge them.

Yeah Frankfurt are a good team but Bayern are also German giants. It takes a whole lot to beat such team with so many good quality players. With Sadio Mane in their attack their attack has improved a lot. The way they are scoring right now, it will be hard to stop them this time again. Right now I don't think of any team that is close to giving Bayern a tough time in Bundesliga.

Actually in this case I'm not too surprised if Frankfurt lose but maybe from the number of goals they received is one that surprised me in this match.
5 goals in the first half completely destroyed them and this made them falter so they couldn't show anything in the first half.
This must be fixed at least after conceding their mental numbers should not be shaken because in this case I like their defense but when they concede more than 2 sometimes their mentality goes down.

the red card occurred after 35 minutes of the match, so it was basically their 55 minutes of torture for schalke, however, it's fair to say they did try to get something out of the match
Kerim Çalhanoğlu is generally a competent player but we did not get to see him play for a long period of time in that match, i believe he will be given a chance later and he will be able to show his worth

if schalke did not receive the red card, they could have played much better, but that red card put them at a serious disadvantage, their only positive accomplishment in this match was scoring that one goal, at least they did not let their opponent keep a clean sheet

In fact, every season they do not target it because their main target is to print talented young players who are in the top 4 of the Bundesliga. That's enough for them.
But now it looks like it's going to be a little difficult, They still haven't been able to find a Striker who can replace Haller for a while and this is making them a little bit difficult.

Even when Haaland was in the team or if he is still in the team Dortmund have never had a great chance of winning the title from bayern munich, they always end up as runners up, and most of the times they are many points behind bayern. Dortmund have produced good strikers down the years, Lewandowski and then Haaland, though they find it hard to keep them when bigger teams come for them, on that i am sure they are going to get another good striker soon for their team.

It goes without saying that bayern are still the strongest team in Germany even without Lewandowski, Mane is in the team now and they will still dominate and win the league yet again.

I believe Schalke was able to get a draw if they played with 11 players. Their next game won't be that easy too vs M'Gladbach, they might get a chance vs Wolfsburg but playing later vs Union will be tough. I suppose getting 5 points by the end of August will be a good result for them.
Talking about the red cards, dunno what's wrong with goalkeepers getting it in the first rounds, I remember Lyon's GK in addition to Leverkusen's one getting it. I forgot if there is another one in another league!

You are absolutely right! Dortmund earns their money by selling good players, while Bayern usually buy and keep cheap players and then win titles with them and earn their money that way. I hope that Dortmund will be able to keep up this season to Bayern München but I don‘t believe that they can do..

Right now the way Bayern Munich gameplay is rather giving me the vibes of the Golden State Warriors when they are having Stephen Curry, Sadio Mane is really an offensive maker, his passes have some quality in them that players like Jamal Musiala are keeping the pace of scoring, and you will never know where Bayern's going to hit you, right now they are constantly making an incredible play that is very different when Lewandowski is in the team, I might be wrong about this, but hopefully, it will change when they face a higher ranking team,

Right now the result for the other two teams in the Bundesliga I don't know if I am disappointed about this match but here is the result,

VfB Stuttgart VS RB Leipzig GOAL 1 - 1 - DRAW

A rough start for RB Leipzig, just like in the recent season, they also have a bad start that led them to chase their win and be late on the standings which led them to be on the 4th spot of the standing last season, if we look at Leipzig stats, pretty much they smash the Stuttgart, but the defense of Stuttgart is likely for them to penetrate, leading into a Draw,

Koln VS Schalke GOAL - 3 - 1 - LOST

According to the game, Borussia Dortmund, after scoring the goal, completely gave up the initiative and only the total bad luck of the Leverkusen players, especially Patrick Schick, did not allow at least a draw result. As you remember they had an amazing season last but they barely missed the chance of qualifying for the Champions League. This start makes me wonder if they will be able to do the same at least. However they will still find the same opponents in this race most probably. Therefore they need to make a difference. Otherwise they can have a similar scenario maybe with another team this time.

I think we need to give credit to Koln aswell, I think in gaining Luca Kilian they surely made an edge or progress with their strikes, and defense aswell, Schalke just doesn't stand a chance, against the new and improved Koln, those 11 arrivals from Koln definitely have given them an advantage over Schalke that performance is really something but what about the other teams, if Koln could stand a chance against Freiburg or Union Berlin then my perspective on them will surely change,

SC Freiburg is a decent team, on the recent season 21-22 of the Bundesliga and right now the addition of Ritsu Doan, Matthias Ginter, and Michael Gregoritsch have proven their worth to the team, they simply were really aggressive on the offense, and I like to see if they can make a difference this time, while Augsburg is just hoping on their free transfers but yes Freiburg is just amazing in the recent Bundesliga and right now there is much hope in them now if they could level the playing field against Bayern Munich,
