Wt feq!! I'm not here to defend him like I did during his Manchester United days. This I considered too sudden regardless but the management and staff's must have seen something weren't seeing or not been told. Hopefully he will not be in a haste to take another job  at the moment. He needs to take sometime off or simply look at managing the Dutch national team one day.

This is actually too sudden and it would have been better they never signed him in the first place. Although, majority of us actually expected this to happen but not this sudden as it happened. Regardless of what the situation is behind the scene that we are not aware of, Leverkusen were very impatient with him. I mean, how can you judge a coach just by managing two games? Besides, Ten Hang is now left with players who are not the same as the ones Xabi work with and they shouldn't expect him to perform a miracle at this stage. He definitely needs more time to work on them for at least until the middle of the season. If teams should be doing it this way, it would be hard to get a coach in the future.

As expected, Leverkusen has taken a bold step to part ways with Eric Ten Hang after failing to get positive results from just few games he's managed this new season. One of the shortest serving manager in the history of coaching?

I remember one of the times at Manchester United he did mentioned that if he leaves Manchester United he was going elsewhere to win trophies and it did sounded at that point like Manchester United was the problem and not him. I agree he appears to be one of the shortest serving managers although I do not have records to back it but it appears most likely so and again ten Hag needs a break it looks like he is tactically depleted  so he need a break to comw back better, Leverkusen actually may not have needed to much from him but he just messed things up with the very poor start up performances.

Ten Hag's Leverkusen couldn't even win against Werder, who were down to 10 men. This is why the manager is under intense criticism. It's also worth considering the possibility of his dismissal before too long. Perhaps Jose Mourinho could be an option for Bayer Leverkusen. I'd say he's a coach capable of success in the Bundesliga. He'd be at least more successful than the current manager. It's quite surprising that they conceded two goals from an opponent down to ten men after the red card.

Maybe that was the managements anger, how can you ask a coach not insure your players who are at an advantage of a man up and leading 3 - 1 in the second half still ot win the match at the end of 90 minutes, instead the disadvantaged team came from behind to make it 3 - 3, I think they say the red flag and decided to let him go on time before he causes more damages. I was expecting the sack though but it came sooner than expected.

I think they made a huge move by dismissing him early, and I think it was the right move. Everyone thought he wasn't up to par since he took over. They failed to win two official matches and had abysmal scores in friendly matches. Therefore, Bayer Leverkusen will now move forward with a manager who is worthy of their position, has good leadership, and is experienced. Perhaps now they can re-enter the title race.

I already knew he wouldn't meet up to expectations, ever since he was coach of Manchester United and started acting as if his the world's best coach, treating his players the way he wanted, I took note of him and knew he wouldn't last in the team. I told my Manchester United fan friends that he will be sacked, they claimed he was doing fine, I insisted that he will be sacked. He was eventually sacked, I just to myself, he thinks his a world class coach but he isn't. When Bayern Leverkusen appointed him, I just knew a disaster was just around the corner waiting, one thing I didn't foresee was his early sack. I knew he would be sacked eventually but not this early.

He said it and to be frank with you, I thought he was going to do something that will shock the Red Devils by turning things around for his new club but after I saw the 5nil he lost in the club friendly I just gave up but still we have to make some excuses for him, right? Now the season has begun but nothing productive to say let him stay and keep trying. Well, I don't really blame him but this man ETH, he has too much of pride in him, he should have allowed his good work speak for him, he hasn't done anything yet but you'd see him saying things that won't happen, he operates through imagination.
I said he shouldn't be blamed, the management of Leverkusen killed the team completely, Alonso left and they started flushing out the guys who was holding the team and without replacement which is no way to do business, knowing fully well how the next club would react, talking about Bayern Munich. Is like they opened a free passage for Bayern to stay on top, now no competition. No good players to strengthen the team and they expect ETH to perform unlimited miracle, it can't happen, now is like they're going to use group of kids to play against Bayern who are hungry to win titles or other clubs in the Bundesliga, the management are to blame 100%.

Ten Hag needs to take a long break as his coach career has been in bottom so pressure will be big even if he signs another contract with a new club. A break time like several months can help him refreshing his mind, recharging energy, thinking of his tactical philosophy and any changes if possible, as well as avoiding social media attention on him as well as pressure on him.

Edin Terzic is a coach who brought Dortmund to a final match in UEFA Champions League final and also nearly to Bundesliga title in a last season of Marco Reus for Dortmund. Only a very late goal from Jasmal Musiala helped Bayern Munich took over the league title from Dortmund and in Champions League final, they simply were not strong enough to win that title.

Replacing Ten Hag by Terzic is like a promising good choice from Bayer Leverkusen as he is an experience and capable coach as well as don't need adaptation time in Bundesliga like Ten Hag.

Now everyone can say that Ten Hag isn't the best coach to fix a team, and that was evident after he was fired at Manchester United and returned to Leverkusen as head coach. The team has had many problems since the departure of Xabi Alonso, and the departure of several key players last season will only exacerbate the problems. Adaptation is always an excuse and the time needed will not be enough to change Leverkusen for the better this season so considering bringing in the former Dortmund coach is much better because he understands Bundesliga football better than Ten Hag.

It was foolish from the start for Bayern United to continue with this man, who hasn't achieved anything in his career.
I don't think Ten Hag is suitable for the big teams.

Sacking Erik Ten Hag is not a bad idea because the manager has shown from the preseason that he is not capable of coaching Leverkusen. Although Leverkusen sell some players in the transfer window, they sign another young players that will help the team, scoring three goals and leading against Weder Bremen shows how good those players are, and if they have a good coach, they can defend and win games. Erik Ten Hag has lost his mentality to manage any big team. According to certain rumours, Erik Ten Hag stated that he was surprised by what Leverkusen did to him, and that he did not expect the team to act that way because they sold many talented players.

Erik Ten Hag should belt on making signings because it's the only way to stay ontop and winning games.

It is true that not everything was going well on the training ground under this manager and we saw that most of the players were not satisfied with his methods. However this team needs to be reorganized well because many of their best players have left the team, especially after Xabi Alonso joined Real Madrid Football Club. In all the matches that Bayer Leverkusen has played this new season, perhaps this coach's decisions were not very surprising because everyone has probably noticed that this team was not dominating these Bundesliga matches.

Even though I am not a fan of Erik Ten Hag, it is unfair for Bayer Leverkusen management to sack him after two matches because Bayer Leverkusen key players left the club, and it will be difficult for Erik Ten Hag to get good results immediately at Bayer Leverkusen. Bayer Leverkusen management should have given Erik Ten Hag little time to prove himself and if he fails to do that, that's when they should have taken the decision to sack him.

I think it was a mistake by them to hire him, it was always obvious to everyone who has seen ETH during his United time that he would not be able to manage Leverkusen. And the moment they lost to some u20 team, I knew that he would not be doing well at all. Which is why it makes more sense for him to be sacked quickly, and not waste any time.

If you have seen them play then you know that they waited long enough, it is not too early at all. He didn't show any improvements nor had any potential, this is as good as it gets for them with Erik Ten Hag, you can wait 20 more games, nothing will change and it's obvious.

I believe it was also some fight between the management and him, because you do not fire someone this early if you believed he is good enough to be hired. He should have not been hired at all, that was the mistake and because they did hire him, they had to wait a bit, and it was clear that he wasn't getting any better. This will make Leverkusen a better team, and ETH should look for a much smaller team to manage.

Since Ten Hag was at Manchester United, I have not defended him because even when they make new signings, he always says that they are still building in progress. I have been wondering what they were actually building at Manchester United that year, even with the opportunity that the club gave him to bring any players of his choice, and he ended up bringing Hojlund and other players until he was sacked, Manchester United was still in progress.

You're right, there could be a reason why the Leverkusen management decided to fire him after only two games, it could be a misunderstanding between the manager and the team, and we should also remember that Ten Hag always had misunderstandings with his players, I remember that the majority of players left Manchester United because of him, and Ten Hag is going to be the worst manager in the history of Leverkusen.

Terzic would be a quite nice replacement though. If they got so fed up with Erik ten Hag after only 2 weeks then they should bring a good name at least. I believe Terzic is one of the nice candidates!

Well from the beginning I knew he was not going to last in this job but I didn’t expect it will be this short. I blame Erik Ten hag and I also blame the Bayern Leverkusen management for this poor form, you can’t sell so much quality in your team and fail to replace them with quality. After losing out on this much players I was thinking they would have a very busy summer but to my surprise they weren’t that busy during the summer window.

I still think Ten hag need time off from coaching for now and maybe when he decide to coach again he should start from less competitive league. It would give him the time to get back his confidence in coaching and decision making. We know he his a good coach but he needs to take a break for now and figure out where he is getting it wrong.

Tolerance is the problem here because if some other teams can tolerate a coach lapses others who are deeply in a competition of growth might not give a second chance to the coach because they might be feeling that the longer the chance is more damage is going to cause them so cutting it when the time is extremely close is the best so that they would look for another capable hand to adjust it so actually that's how I'm just seeing this whole thing but however it was Bayern Leverkusen mistake for not knowing all this before signing considering his previous profile so actually they shouldn't act as if they didn't no about him.

It seems my prediction this time was correct, having previously stated that if Erik Ten Hag started the season poorly without improving in subsequent matches, the chances of him being sacked as Bayer Leverkusen manager were high.
Now, Ten Hag has been officially sacked after a similar coaching cycle to his time at Manchester United.
This is a good policy from Bayer Leverkusen to address problems quickly without waiting for them to worsen.

Choosing Edin Terzić as Ten Hag's replacement is a good opportunity for Bayer Leverkusen because he is an experienced coach in the Bundesliga.

Really, I don't know the kind of deal they have with Ten Hag that made Bayer Leverkusen sack him so quickly. But honestly, it's very bad for Leverkusen to do this to Ten Hagunless there was a serious agreement that stated he would be sacked if he didn’t win a certain number of matches.Because the way they sacked Ten Hag, it just felt like they were trying to mock him based on his performances at Manchester United. If it was about mocking him, then why didn’t Leverkusen give him time to prove himself? He was sacked after just two games!

I don't even know why leverkusen were expecting great performances from tenhag when they sold almost all their key players and they didn’t bring in any replacements. In fact, no coach would be able to manage that Leverkusen squad and achieve the kind of performances people are expecting right now.Leverkusen should understand that keeping the same standard as the last two seasons and last season isn’t realistic with the current squad.

It's so unfortunate that Erik Ten Hag couldn't prove his critics wrong and got sacked so early, I don't know if anyone beats that record but that's the earliest I know of for a manager to get replaced, well from Terzic's early record at Borussia Dortmund when joined them in 2022, I think he'll make a good coach for Leverkusen.

 Edin Terzic first managed Borussia Dortmund in 2022/23 season and helped them finish as runners up with his possession game formation, he's got a good experience in the league and fit to manage the players of Leverkusen,  well from the rest of the options Leverkusen board would bring up, we'll know if Edin would be the perfect replacement for the job.
