Eintracht is a very solid team; they ended up in 3rd place last season, and they've won 2 out of 2 games this season.
Leverkusen have been disappointing so far, and it's not clear how much of that can be pinned on Ten Hag. I'm not sure if it's as simple as getting rid of Ten Hag and reverting the team to the last year's settings.
Leverkusen played a friendly game against 3rd league Viktoria Koln on 3rd Sep (so 2 days after Ten Hag's sacking), they won 2-1, but there are no statistics available from that game so I'm not sure how to judge their performance from the result alone.

I'm not surprised that Leverkusen had to sack Erik Ten Hag so early in the league; he made a negative impression in his former club and that's understandable, but he wasn't even given enough time to prove himself. losing two matches in the league doesn't mean they won't be an improvement in the team IMO. Bayern Leverkusen on their part have failed to sign new players after giving out players like Wirth to Liverpool, Xhaka to Sunderland and other promising players to clubs. These were the players that played at their top form last season and helped them secure their first bundeslinga title, and now they are expecting Ten Hag to perform magic with the unprofessional players in the team.

 However, Ten Hag intention was to recruit some trusted players from Ajax as he did while he was in Manchester United but Leverkusen weren't interested in his demands. The selling of players was a good strategy to generate income for the club but what they failed to do is to invest some of those money that they made to get in new players that can fill the shoes of the sold players. But they identified a set of problems within a short period of time that convinced them it is the right decision to get rid of ten Hag.
