Since Bayer Leverkusen parted ways with the former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, the club hasn't been with a new coach, it is sad that a club that made Bayern Munich and every other clubs in the Bundesliga to feel the pressure 2 season's back are now struggling to even play as a team. Players have left, I mean good players left the club together with the manager Alonso and it seems the management doesn't seem to know what next to do with the growth of the club, they couldn't get a replacement for the players who left at least that should make the team better than they are now. After a disappointing display they had before going on a break they had to fire ETH and now they haven't gotten any manager, how are they going to manage without someone better to handle the players? Is this season going to be the end of Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga?

It is part of the game to make mistakes but the management of Bayern Leverkusen don't seem to understand that they've made alot of mistakes. Sacking Erik Ten Hag was a very bad and extreme decision of which they did not make analysis before taking any decisions. When a teams looses, it is right to blame the coach but don't be insensitive to individual players input in the game and underlying reasons. The season is new and I think this may destabilise the team for sometime and they are definitely out of the title race because there's already tension in the team. I recently read about how Simon Rolfes and Fernando carro turned their backs at Erik Ten Hag  due to poor dressing room management and disagreement with most of his assistants leading to his brutal sack. I hope Bayern Leverkusen regains their place in the Bundesliga maybe by next season.

Wow, I just found out that Erik Ten Hag was fired. I think I missed this information. I didn't expect Leverkusen to make such a quick decision to fire this coach, even though Ten Hag has only played two Bundesliga matches and hasn't won yet. I don't know what could be their reasons for choosing Kasper Hjamund to replace Eric Ten Hag. I believe there was something more to the sacking of Eric Ten Hag if he succeeds in getting into Bayern Leverkusen. This is a coach with empty profile and almost no experienced team  even though he has been in the business of coaching teams. In Mainz 05 which I can see as his best club experience, he had only 20% wins in 24 games, winning 5 games, drawing 11 and loosing 8. Same in almost all his records having less than except Denmark where he had 59% win.

I hope Bayern Leverkusen is not heading into the wrong hands again. Ange Postecoglu is a better choice with his records at Tottenham Hotspur too but not Kasper Hjamund. Well, I understand that some these appointments and sacks are political and not sometimes to the best interests of the team.

In my opinion, both coaches would be a terrible option. I say this because, looking at the history of both coaches, they are not coming from successes in other teams; on the contrary, they are coming from failures. It is beginning to look to me as though  Bayer Leverkusen is not minding to settle for less at this point, I am not saying this is not a good coach, although i am yet to see anything really spectacular about his records but Bayer Leverkusen could have looked for better because with the record he has got, he does not look like one who will fit in to producing the kind of results Bayer Leverkusen is expecting, he may eventually turn out better that is if he is given enough time after all Xabi started his career as a coach at Leverkusen so it could  be he is going to do but than his record but I still  do not see ehim as the supposed best pick.

What irony! A Bayern functionary is outraged that someone is acting exactly like Bayern is acting in the Bundesliga. The reality is that the market is global and you have to compete with the richest clubs, but Bayern are used to not spending much and luring players at the expense of status. It stopped working over 5 years ago and they are still burning. I thought Kane's transfer was a sign that they were able to change, but statements like this indicate otherwise.

I think this is the right decision made by Leverkusen management, they took quick steps to build the team in a new direction because it was clear there was no progress whatsoever with Ten Hag even the Leverkusen team was much worse after being coached by Ten Hag so even though it was only the beginning of the season but I think this decision was quite right even since the beginning of his arrival I was very doubtful because Ten Hag was a failed coach in the past so it was difficult for him to find his confidence again.

The club was not quiet in the transfer market after losing many crucial players in the summer, they spent quite a lot recruiting new players so the least they could expect from Ten Hag was to win some games even if not all but it happens that the results were consistently negative and poor even with the first three games of the season so I don’t blame the club at all for their decision to sack him because he didn’t shows signs of improvement.

I've even had doubts about their performance since Bayer Leverkusen hired Erik Ten Hag. When I first saw Fabrizio's post about this appointment, I immediately started to think about it. It felt like I'd heard of him before, but not too familiar with him. It turns out he's a 53-year-old Danish coach with experience as the Danish national team coach from 2020 to 2024. As for club management, he's mostly been with Superliga clubs.

With his experience coaching national teams, he should be quite promising, but let's see how Leverkusen develops. He's implemented a 3-4-1-2 tactic, which is quite suitable for Leverkusen.
