It just looked as if players were inspired by the international break and decided to display once they got back to their clubs. See how Leipzig demolished Frankfurt 6-0 and it wasn't as if Frankfurt were a weak side or something, but their defense was just utterly torn apart. Don't get me started on the fact that Bayern Munich also ended their game in a draw. Very funny scorelines we experienced and it seemed as if the drama all happened on Saturday because Sunday was quite tame. Let's believe that Bayern couldn't pull out a win because their goals were chopped off and Augsburg seemed prepared for them, else I didn't expect them to be held by Augsburg because this is a team they can beat in their sleep.

Well, Augsburg games are never easy since it's a derby game. Augsburg is less than an hour drive away from Munich and is the only other team from Bavaria in the Bundesliga. Their recent games have also always been close encounters, despite Bayern obviously having the FAR superior team. So yeah, derby games can sometimes bring out the best of any underdog, you should never underestimate that! Since I am a BVB fan and hate Bayern for that reason still this weekend was annoying for me. Dortmund should have gotten those 3 points and extend the gap for another 2 points. What a fail.

I am not surprised by that performance because Bundesliga league is not that competitive, despite having an average performance currently, Bayern Munich will still win the Bundesliga title this season, Dortmund has a good opportunity to lead Bayern Munich with a three or four points clear but they played very poorly against Bremen, although i am not surprised because Bremen is also in good form this season, but what surprises me is that Dortmund was leading with two goals and they end up playing draw. I always said that Dortmund players have no mentality of winning trophies, these players can’t win a game comfortably without conceding goals or stress themselves, the worst part of the game is that Dortmund conceded goals from 80 minutes of the game.

In my opinion, Bayern Munich got a poor result this week by drawing 2–2, especially given that Dortmund also dropped points. I had expected a better performance from them; they created numerous chances and racked up impressive stats but struggled to convert them into goals. Luis Díaz scored two spectacular goals, yet both were disallowed. Had the second disallowed goal stood, it would undoubtedly have been the goal of the season. A draw has never been a good result for Bayern. If things continue this way, this will be Kompany's final season.
Bayern Munich game came as a shock to me because I expected a smooth win for them, given how well their players performed in the Nations league but the results came otherwise. When their opponent scored the opening goal, I did not really panic because it was the first time so I expected a comeback in that same first half too. With the number of offside goals in that game, Bayern should have secured that win easily, though the effort of their opponent was truly commendable, they did not make it too easy for Bayern Munich.

Bayern had the opportunity to have won the game, but it was all thrown to the trash, and they were not playing with all seriousness even if they played draw i still expected a win from them, but the result was just not a satisfying one at all because they could have won, but no they gave augburg to many chances. Their defense was too open because, from what all of us watched, the defense of Bayern was not as strong as expected.
This might be due to player fatigue caused by a packed schedule. Some players have just returned from playing for their national teams and already have to play domestic matches while also preparing for the UCL. So, a draw is understandable. The only thing that is hard to accept is that Bayern had a huge statistical advantage but still failed to score 3 goals to secure the win.

Sometimes, that is how football works. It is not always the result that people expect to see. Sometimes things end up happening differently and that is what happened on Saturday.Bayern Munich were the favourites to win the match, but it turned out to be a different story. They were the ones chasing the game and trying to equalise the goals. Augsburg scored their first goal, and Bayern Munich found a way to equalise, which I was not expecting to happen. Furthermore, Augsburg scored again, and Bayern Munich struggled to equalise once more. It is not always a good idea to allow your opponents to score first, especially when you are playing against a stubborn team. It can be difficult for even a strong team to equalise and win the game because they may end up struggling to get back into the match. In fact, I expected Bayern Munich to be fully prepared for Augsburg on Saturday. Augsburg do not always take it easy against Bayern Munich. Even when Bayern Munich win, they do not always beat Augsburg easily. Last season, Augsburg were even able to beat Bayern Munich away from home in the second leg.

Kompany was not willing to overwork tired players, which is why they lost to a relatively weak team even with a full strength team. Although the match was drawn due to fatigue, I think Bayern Munich should have won the match, Augsburg was not a team that Bayern Munich needed to play against with a full strength team. It must be admitted that Bayern Munich lost because of their poor performance.

The Champions league match is perhaps more important. But in this match, Bayern munich played with their best XI and also put in full effort to win. Even then, they could not win. Isn't this their failure?? There is no room to say that Munich played cautiously or put in less effort in this match. Munich did not rest any of their key players. stars like Kane, Diaz , kimmich, and olise were in the starting XI. Only Musiala missed the match due to injury. At the same time, Munich's players took a total of 30 shots, with 10 shots on target. On the other hand, Augsburg's players only took 12 shots in total , yet they managed to score 2 goals. Had Munich won this match, they would have been able to capture the top spot in the table.

Isn't this their failure?? You talk as if they were defeated. It was a draw match and there's nothing wrong with that. My concern is, why are you making it look like a big miss for them? 5 games, 11 points and 16 goals so far, Augsburg needed the win more than the champions did. There is no room to say that Munich played cautiously or put in less effort in this match. Munich did not rest any of their key players. stars like Kane, Diaz , kimmich, and olise were in the starting XI. Only Musiala missed the match due to injury. That they had all their key players on the pitch doesn't mean they played like it was their last game to stay off relegation--- it's not the same effort you get what I mean? The champions League is more important to those players and the slightest injury on any of them can displace their team. It's not like if they had the opportunity, they wouldn't have scored and won anyway. You run out of luck sometimes and that's okay.

[/quote] You're right, in Germany league Bayern Munich is their most successful club among all the clubs in Germany league. Two seasons ago they won their league back to back, which we saw how the players put all their efforts if they can get to champions league final, but unfortunately they where knocked out by PSG, from what I've observed Bayern munich players are more interested in wining champions league than their league this season. Just as you said earlier their key players don't want anything injury to occur right now, if they really want to win that match they would puts more efforts just to win that match, for now that match isn't much important to them.

By the way it was a very difficult round in the Bundesliga, both title contenders dropped points. I really expected Bayern to take advantage of Borussia Dortmund’s draw and beat a struggling Augsburg side that have been conceding a lot of goals. But Bayern decided to concede two goals as well, and then towards the end, they wasted several really good chances and couldn’t score a third. I actually bet on Bayern to win during the live match, at odds 2.5. It was a bit risky of course, but I thought Bayern would be able to get the win.

Apart from the Leipzig match that they got a landslide victory and Bayern Leverkusen that narrowly escaped a draw, did you think that it was easy for teams like Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund who are at the top of the table. Maybe players from the small clubs were exuberant after the international break probably because many of their players were not involved in international duty. Don't make any excuses for Bayern Munich because I don't understand what you mean by saying that their goals were chopped off or is it because of the offside goal that Luiz Diaz scored and was later revoked by VAR?. Bayern Munich players were literally tired from International duty because most of their players were involved. Someone like Harry Kane and Michael Olise were active for their country so the difficulty that Bayern Munich faced was as a result of lost energy from the players.

If this performance continues, can we see Bayern Munich doing something good in the UCL and if it continues, can they win the UCL? Every Bayern Munich fan has one goal, which is to win the UCL, if the current performance continues and if they cannot improve themselves, then we will definitely not see anything good from them. So Bayern Munich needs to improve as soon as possible.

Everyone expected Bayern to win that game but I'm surprised that it didn't end up that way. Maybe, Kompany is more concerned about his UCL match coming up tomorrow. However, I don't think that should be an excuse for that draw because they will play Vikings and I believe they aren't as strong as Bayern. The season is still fresh and Bayern will survive in the long run because they're use to it.

Freiburg is proving to everyone that last year's success was no fluke. They took a 1-0 lead against Schalke, though Schalke managed to level the score at 1-1. Freiburg was reduced to 10 men after Suzuki was sent off following a second yellow card, yet Goto made it 2-1 in the 85th minute. Despite playing with 10 men, Freiburg won the match and climbed to the top of the standings. Freiburg is currently one of the three unbeaten teams in the Bundesliga.

The only thing that is hard to accept is that Bayern had a huge statistical advantage but still failed to score 3 goals to secure the win. I very successful team like Bayern should never have an excuse regarding players fatigue just because they are returning from the national team, most especially trying to use that excuse to justify a draw against a weaker team in the league. They are a world class team and they are supposed to have quality players even on the bench to sub on. Their defensive line played like amateurs and Augsburg had so many clear chances in their box.

Bayern Munich had an average performance against Augsburg in their last match in the German league so their poor performance should not be attributed to fatigue from the players returning from the national team. Bayern Munich had a strong starting XI against Augsburg but it seems to me that their defenders were not at their best in this match as evidenced by the fact that they conceded a goal in just one minute. Even in this match, the attacking side of this team was not active in the first half but after the break, their team's midfielder Saibari scored a goal to give this team a lead, but in this match, England player Hary Ken was able to make two assists, as a result, we noticed that this match between Bayern and Augsburg ended in a 2-2 draw.

Freiburg didn't just win the game, they dominated the game and showed their readiness to compete for the season with the performance they put up. Freiburg deserved to score more goals as they had 7 corners in the game against 2 from the Schalke side and about 10 shots. I am almost surprised that even with 10 mes, they still ruled the game. Freiburg is having a a good start to the season already as their unbeaten is not just in the Bundesliga but also extended to the conference league where they beat Werder by 4:1 and their next conference league opponent for the week is Czech's Jablonec FC who I see as a sure win too for them. After that game, their next 3 games will be a tough test for Schuster as he will be facing the Bundesliga giants in up to 3 games straight. If they win any of the games, that will be a good sign for the team and fans.

The result of this match is one of Leipzig's good records in the league this season, I also never imagined they could score those six goals without conceding a single one. Although not quite like some other top teams, Leipzig has at least made a good run so far. By the way, I'm curious about what happened to Mönchengladbach, they played games without ever recording a win or a draw. If they continue playing like this, they might find themselves back in the 2. Bundesliga, where they last competed during the 2007/2008 season.
