I was never expecting Bayern Munich to struggle against Leipzig, not even for a second and they proved me right, they are not facing any difficulties for me to have suggested that, one thing about them is that after going back to back without a win, the next team they meet is to demolish them. They haven't won against 2 small teams in back 2 back matches, it's natural for them to make up for it especially when it's against a small team as well. Things might have been different if they were going to meet a big team in the champions League, then I would have thought of it but it's still the Bundesliga, so I knew Leipzig will be in for a long day and Bayern Munich made it so.

Well for me it wasn’t that clear before the game. After two such weak performances, I didn’t expect Bayern to dominate like that. Leipzig isn’t exactly a small team either, they may not be on par with the best in the world but they’re certainly stronger than the average European team.

Borussia Dortmund doesn't have the consistency to fight for the title because they will always flop along the way as usual. What do we expect from a team that is into business of selling their vital players, a team that wants to.win the title don't sell their best players. I don't agree that no other team has what it takes to battle with Bayern Munich because we still have Bayern Leverkusen and Freiburg who are just a point behind Bayern Munich so one of them can likely continue the title race till the end. I'm rooting for Bayern Leverkusen because for them to win Freiburg today shows that they have a formidable team that are capable of contending the league title.

Kane, Olise and Diaz are threat to other teams but when they start falling to injury the strength of the team will reduce especially if it involves their goalscoring machine Harry Kane because Michael Olise and Luis Diaz cannot do what Kane does consistently.

Bayern Munich's performance was truly evident in this match. They dominated the match and were very effective in launching every attack, resulting in six goals. Although Leipzig is one of the teams that can put pressure on Bayern Munich, I didn't expect them to lose by such a crushing score.

mv1986, it turned out that I was almost right, even the score was perfectly the same until the last minute when Leipzig managed to score a consolation goal and made the score 6-1.
I can imagine what would have happened if I had placed a bet on the exact score 6-0 (the odds were probably 30+ or more) and lost it at the last minute  Unfortunately, there’s no shortage of disappointments today, City failed to cover the -1.5 handicap, and my multibets were ruined.
Meanwhile, Dortmund dropped points, and Bayern overtook their main rival - though, for now, only on tie-breaking criteria.

Bayern has both, this strange weakness that they concede easy goals, making their lives much harder. But they have the strength to score five goals and more easily in a single game when it doesn't really matter who the opponent is. Sure, always fun to watch so many goals, but for a Bundesliga fan it's bad in the sense that this game has once again proven how trash Leipzig is when they are actually one of the few teams supposed to show at least some sort of fight against Bayern.

I admit that Dortmund has always been good at developing young talents through their academy, but they cannot do what Bayern can. Dortmund have to sell players to strengthen certain positions and bring in more experienced players. Bayern, on the other hand, don't need to sell players to sign quality players who can complete their squad.

So, based on all of this, it's pretty clear that without a bit of luck, bundesliga teams will continue to remain in Bayern's shadow.

Bayern Munich should have secured that win with a clean sheet, it was a disappointing last minute goal after holding it till the dying minutes. Aside that, it was a fantastic win for Bayern Munich and that was also important for their confidence especially after two straight unexpected draw in the League match and the Champions league.

Their next game would be against Arsenal in the Champions league, that would be one of the greatest test of their confidence last season, Arsenal won them in the Champions league so I don't think they would let that happen again this season. My prediction would be either Bayern Munich wins or draw.

Borussia Dortmund failed to capitalize on accumulating more posts ahead of Bayern Munich after their two consecutive draw games against Werder Bremen and Union Berlin and now they are at a tie with Bayern securing the second position in the league.

Bayern seems to have found themselves again after their victory over Leipzig, so Dortmund would need more consistency with every game to stay ahead of Bayern and win the league. It would be a big motivator for them to win the title again after 14 seasons, quick a huge number.

I share your view, but at the same time, anything can happen, but Bayern must make a lot of mistakes for that to happen, for this, it's slim because they understand the local league game very well. As a matter of fact, that's what most people want, there should be a little distortion from what's happening in Bundesliga. You’re right man Dortmund does have this problem. They manage to win difficult matches, yet they end up losing the easy ones. That’s what surprises me most about Dortmund. I don’t recall exactly which year it was though it was fairly recent but the title was in their hands right up until the final match a win would have secured the championship, yet they dropped points in that last game and essentially handed the title to Bayern Munich. I hope Leverkusen can manage to stop Bayern Munich from winning the league.

It looks like Borussia Dortmund have lost their momentum after the season resumed after the international break.
A goalless draw with the bottom-of-the-table Union Berlin was not a result anyone would expect. It was their 3rd game in a row without a win (including their Champions League loss to Bodo/Glimt).
Dortmund are playing against Azerbaijani champions Sabah in an away game tomorrow. Hopefully they will be able to break the bad spell, but Sabah will have the home advantage, so it might not be that easy.

Bayern are now the table leader after destroying Leipzig 6-1. If I remember correctly, they also defeated them with that exact same goal margin last season. I didn't think it would be that much of a one-sided show.

Monchengladbach are still without a single point after 6 rounds. This is not looking good.

When you just take Kane, Diaz and Olise and compare that trio to any of the strikers from other Bundesliga teams, I think it says it all. You almost never get to see these strong outlier results like 6-1 or 7-0 or similar results for any of Bayern's competitors whereas for Bayern whereas for Bayern this is quite normal sometimes.

Leipzig are always not a match for Bayern Munich and they always find their way through to prevail against time anytime they meet, this is not even about their form. Leipzig form during the season doesn’t matter when they’re playing with Bayern Munich, they always find a way through to beat them and win them easily. As Bayern Munich is known for scoring plenty of goals, they usually unleash all of them on Leipzig anytime they meet.

Bayern Munich has just shown us one more time that they’re the best team in the league and they will still fight to win the league title once again, as always without an excuse this season. They are consistent and don’t look like a team that will falter anytime soon, they already got the edge over the other teams in the competition for a potential title triumph.
