Even in the absence of Musiala and L.Diaz, they still have good replacements like Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies with Saibari still an option, so Bayern has good options. Does a club aiming for a draw seem like an irrational strategy?
I know and understand that all clubs want a better result and a win. But the reason I say that is because the squad quality is different, and Dortmund is coming as the away team.

These two clubs have the same points and I think it is very realistic if Dortmund does not have the ability to beat Bayern at least Dortmund does not give full points which makes the points difference increase. I also said that I actually wanted Dortmund to surprise me with a win, but I realized that Bayern's squad was much better.

I love your assessment. A club could be a giant in the league, but when injuries or other issues set in, that becomes a problem. Bayern would have beaten Dortmund, but the situation is not friendly at the moment and Dormund seems to have a healthier team at the moment. Kompany's team will fight, I trust that, they could even do better. From your called list, Luis Diaz will not play but Jamal Musiala may or may not play. Tomorrow will decide that.

Hmm, obviously Bayern is a HUGE favorite but I wouldn't count out a surprise. Not because of BVB pulling the upset but maybe because Bayern will have a weak game. They had 3 weak draws already this season, In Schalke and Augsburg as well as at Stanvanger. So they are not perfect, despite looking like that sometimes.
Obviously the recent history speaks for Bayern, they won the last 3 games against BVB, then 2 draws. Those 3 wins have always been close though, those were decided by 1 goal only.
So yeah, if BVB plays good and Bayern has another kind of "off night" then there is a chance. It's not big of course but it's there.

Yet I feel with my post I have now officially jinxed Dortmund and Bayern will 4:0. Let's hope I didn't.

Dortmund rarely treat the UCL as a must win competition because the club's whole business model is to buy cheap players, develop them and sell at high prices. For me more important factor in this match is current league performance of both team. Bayern are much more productive when it come to scoring goal. But Dortmund is also come into this having remained unbeaten for seven match. So you simply cannot overlook Dortmund’s defensive discipline and their ability to maintain control throughout match.
