Bitcointalk is it possible to separate businesses and gambling discussion?

Like Bitcoin Discussions? I don't find it necessary as with regards to bitcoins, there are so many doubts that arise but what are the doubts with regards to gamblers? "What gambling site is the best? Where should I start gambling? How much have you gambled?" There aren't too many threads in this regard and having a sub forum as of now isn't needed.

Imagine you were a business and had one area to post but all that area is filled like what op is showing u may see different.

maybe the intital suggestion wasn't the best, but it could be worthwhile and useful to separate provably fair from non provably fair gambling sites.

but that's just a rough idea for now, didn't think it through yet, so feel free to rip it apart.

Personally, I am completely fine with current one, and any of the two would make me not very comfortable with juggling between boards.

This Gambling Discussion sub-board will be inside the Gambling board, which is inside the Marketplace section under the Economics category?
It is fine with me if that is added as an additional board in the Marketplace board (as suggested), but please don't put it as a subsection inside the Gambling board.

What moderator has the ability to put these into their own section? Maybe call it Gambling rants and raves or non business related posting.
That way they can farm posts all day without forcing companies to make repeated posts to keep their business on the first 2 pages.

Players posting on business threads is normal but I cannot see how these examples help grow the Bitcoin gambling industry as it is now.

In general adding subforums is a bad idea, I have seen ideas before to create: sportsbook, dice, etc subforum and obviously that would only make things less clear (gotta visit a lot more forums to browse through gambling sites.) That being said, I think a seperate Gambling Discussion board is needed and I was actually thinking about that only the last few months (without noticing this topic.)

Tradionally AFAIK (note: 60% of my posts are in Gambling so I do really lurk there a lot ), most topics were from gambling sites. Each site had one topic. And sometimes we had some discussion topics. Then begin '14 the half of the threads were from ponzis so Micon, me and others complained and new subforum was created, which was great. Now I, and apparently others according to this topic, see an increase in "discussion threads" and I think it's time to make it a separate forum for it.

The distinction for me is sites and non-sites (I think name "Gambing Discussion" is fine though). I think it's great for players to just have a list of actual sites that they can use to gamble and separate discussion threads in a subforum. Especially for new players joining the bitcoin gambling community. Now normally I wouldn't mind to mix it, like we did before. But there are really a lot of discussion threads these days. I just opened the first page of gambling and found the following threads:

Personally I do like to join some of the "discussions", but I think there is a clear distinction between these types of topics and I think it benefits everyone to split those. I am sure there are plenty of people just looking to play at a site for their entertainment and not looking for betting tips on some Spanish team or how to start a gambling site.

You know OP it's best if you add a 'Poll' to this thread and people can vote and it will show exactly how many are in favor of this and how many are not. I think it might help you achieve your quest (if they vote in your favor i.e.) since it will give clear indication to the Admins that members of the forum really want this.

A gambling discussion board would be a big host of low quality post. For example, I've seen at least 3 threads with 30+ pages discussing if martingale was a good betting strategy.

Then again, if these kinds of posts aren't banned, they might as well have their own board so that gambling services aren't drowned in them.

This is exactly correct, that way actual players can easily find the real businesses and casinos versus crawling through hundreds of these sig farming posts. Obviously, as part owner of BetterBets.io my agenda is to keep the gambling main section focused on the businesses. It would probably help greatly for all admins/owners to see this separation happen.

I like this idea, but when I think it over longer it allows signature campaigners a poll to anonymously to keep doing what they are doing.

Precisely my thoughts, most campaigns will probably change their rules to disallow posts on those type of threads from counting as well in this proposed new section. It could have the added benefit of increasing post quality on legitimate casinos.

Bump. Still very important in my opinion. Hope a "discussion" subforum can be added.

In combination with the signature campaign spammers, it's an even bigger problem. I mean there are 31 pages about "Can gambling be profitable in long term?" while there should be literally only 1 reply with "No" (potentially another reply that would say Poker can be profitable if you don't consider it gambling.) But almost all replies in there are low quality posts all saying the same thing over and over again. Now there is a separate meta topic for that "spam" discussion. But still just creating a "Gambling Discussion" forum would at least create a high quality overview of gambling sites again.
