i think its unfortunate but the main reason is most likely that the chain itself was hacked, i did some tests on the cvc bug myself and was able to exploit the chain

i didnt steal anything but i remember saying something along those lines

but now that you can forget about those silly meme gold coins, perhaps now you can see how glorious privacy coins that work on tor are

(also Rossen and althor49 disappeared RIGHT after the hack happened AND they were in charge of chain security, don't you think those two might be related?)

i say we triangulate rossen and althor's ip addresses and hunt them down with pitch forks Wink

Addendum : Okay so do you remember when this coin had ALL that attention? I honestly believe that this coin was hacked far before than and that allowed the seller(s) to sell a good portion of their coins. There was alot of orphan blocks during mining it too

what if i told you that i hacked aurumcoin?  Cool
@fapnnap, I hope all your coins are in cryptopia  Angry
I am not related to aurumcoin.com but I believe in them they always said the true, good or bad.
I also believe this coin will worth 1 ounce. Lucky me, I HODL most of coins like I said.
cryptopia need to give us all our AurumCoins back till the last one I bought them on their website and they are responsible for my money.
@Althor49 + @rossen sucks, they abandoned our coin, they were here all the time for fast money in contrast to what they say.

You are right, Cryptopia must return the coins. I also got some coins stuck there. especially since the price rises

AurumCoin claims to back each AU with 0.75 grams of gold stored in secure vaults worldwide.

Aurum coin network is not the responsibility of anyone

Its gold backing provides it with great economic stability and suitability as a global currency.

Will have a partial central mechanism operating behind it (for fast and environmentally friendly mechanism).

So it is a partially centralized gold backed crypto that is not backed by any gold with no-one who is responsible for it ?

I'm confused. If there is gold please explain where and who is responsible for it.

Please provide a physical address where the stored gold can be collected from in exchange for the Aurum tokens in case it "collapses".

This is what the cryptopia answered me:
Thanks for contacting Cryptopia.

Our investigations have concluded that the AU network was victim to a 51% attack. We have been in contact with the AU team trying to reconcile the resulting issues, and will provide further updates in the near future. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issue. Please keep an eye on the status of AU by visiting our Coin Info page here: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=AU for the latest updates.

Kind regards,

na just a bored haxx0r with rl issues

anyways the flaw for 51% is that this coin has a weak hash requirement, if you rent mining power you can double spend this coin easily

What flaws? Same code as bitcoin, are you aucoin?

Not true. Bitcoin had a release 12 days ago. With a 209 releases since creation.
https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin

When was the last Aurumcoin release ?
https://github.com/aurumcoin-au/Aurumcoin-AU

Bitcoin has 33,633 PH/s protecting against a 51% attack.
Bitcoin has numerous sites that monitor its coin network health for potential exploits.
Bitcoin has identifiable coin developers that warn the coin community of potential threats.
Bitcoin is decentralized.

Orphaned blocks monitor:

Lie #1
AurumCoin – The first distributed open source cryptocurrency to be backed by gold

Proof it is a lie:

Aurumcoin has NO GOLD.

It has no gold so it is not the first.
It cannot become the first because there are other crypto currencies already backed by gold.

https://www.ft.com/content/6d51117e-5806-11e3-a2ed-00144feabdc0
e-gold was the first electronic currency backed by actual gold.

Perth Mint is currently a reputable company offering a gold backed crypto.
https://www.perthmint.com/media-release-InfiniGold-and-TPM-digital-gold-cert.aspx
Perth mint has actual gold backed Crypto https://www.infinigold.com/

Someone has to be responsible for the gold. Perth Mint has been a trusted company for many years.

https://onegram.org
Onegram is a decentralized crypto backed by gold.

Lie #2
Cryptopia got hacked

https://archive.fo/iNLQa
Proof it is a lie:
Aurumcoin published on 10 November that “Cryptopia got hacked”.
This is untrue. None of the exploits used in the 51% attack touched the Cryptopia servers.

Aurumcoin got 51% attacked. In this attack a single attacker took over the blockchain and “overruled” the previously mined blocks by the honest miners and replaced it with “privately mined blocks that were mined in secret by the attacker”. This reversed transactions that had been previously confirmed by the Aurumcoin network. The exploit occurred entirly on the Aurumcoin network.

Balance of funds are held on the distributed ledger (Blockchain). A hardware wallet only holds the public and private keys. The private keys remain secure.
This means that if funds are reversed they are removed from the distributed ledger (Aurumcoin blockchain) and become no longer available.
None of this is under the control of the wallet owner. This process occurs entirely on the Aurumcoin network.

Lie #3
Cryptopia do not admit a 51% attack

https://archive.fo/cOcYF

Proof it is a lie:

9 November Cryptopia publishes the 51% attack. Prior to this Cryptopia sent a report on the 51% attack to the Aurumcoin developers.

https://archive.fo/iNLQa  10 November Aurumcoin Claims Cryptopia was hacked.
https://archive.fo/cOcYF  11 November Aurumcoin claims Cryptopia do not admit a 51% attack

Lie #4
Aurum coin was worth $40 before Cryptopia paused the market.

Proof it is a lie:

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/aurumcoin/

It was worth less than $4
