World
Hashrate

504.20 PH/s

100 peta jump hmmmm who could it be??

sources  https://chain.so/BTC
i also watch bitaffnet pool for real time net hash rate.

Best Regards
d57heinz

well whoever it was.. just turned off 30 peta lmao

The reported hashrate is an estimate and is not always accurate.

This is because of how most tracking sites estimate the hashrate; a run of blocks will cause it to appear there has been a large increase in hashrate.

I think we will see big bumps soon; but I don't think the Network hash rate is currently 470-500 peta.

They are normally pretty accurate when BM says stats on TH.  I expect everyone will get very close to it unless bad chip or hashing board.

They do not do with SP did where they list a number even overclocking you cannot get most likely.     My latest miner a S5+ was close, so I expect same out of S7.

Looks like it was accurate and is stilll at that speed if you look at https://chain.so/btc its at 504 peta atm second time today now

Price   239.16 USD/฿
Hashrate   504.21 PH/s
Activity   82 TX/min
Unconfirmed Txs   1,706
Fee Rate   0.00017015 BTC
Fee paid by unconfirmed transactions for every 1,000 bytes of size.

https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate

Just make sure you all are doing your roi calcs a lot diff now.  I predicted a big increase  but honestly i never thought it would be this much.. Hell bitfury hasnt even turn on 16nm yet that we are aware of.. Scary times for the miner for sure..

Best Regards

A lot of it is probably all the end of summer hash coming back on. I've been running all my rigs at 50% since june, back to 100 since last week brought cooler weather.

How is that Lexical analysis working out bickneleski?

I just received an S7 earlier today for reviewing for a computer hardware site, AMA!

Here are some quick things I've found during a couple hours of testing:
-The miner is VERY loud. Compared to a ZeusMiner Thunder X6/GAWMiner Falcon, this miner is definitely louder. However, one thing to mention is that although the unit has two fans, I suspect one of the fans is dead (swapped plugins, fan shows an RPM on the Miner Status page but isn't spinning up at all). So if both fans were working, the unit would probably be a little quieter. But it's the miner is very audible through a door, about 30 feet away, even when listening to music slightly louder than a normal conversation through speakers. However, this single fan blows a ton of air, similar to other miners. It blows enough air to be an effective hand dryer. The noise really reminds me of a vacuum cleaner on full speed.

-My review unit is hashing away at about 4.60TH/s. A little lower than what BITMAIN claims, but still a very good rate.

-Import fees were fairly high for me, BITMAIN claimed the package as the full value when shipping it out, and I was charged a total of $131.48 CAD from UPS for delivery ($121.48 for customs fees, and $10 for brokerage fees)

-The unit uses DHCP - no more plugging it directly into a PC and modifying settings if you aren't using the default 192.168.x.x domain hardcoded into older Antminer miners, very nice for those not using the 192.168 subdomain.

Those were a few things I noticed during the first couple hours of testing, but yeah, be sure to let me know if you have any more questions. I don't think I'll overclock it for awhile, so don't expect to get answers on that.  Tongue

While I thinks it's valuable and important to get the 2nd fan operating correctly, I'd be stunned if it actually made it quieter. It might make it more tolerable, but I've yet to see a situation where a 2nd fan ever made anything quieter. The hot air and noise are to be expected when you have 1200W being generated inside an envelope that's roughly S5 in size. Bitmain can't alter the laws of thermodynamics it would appear.

I'm not sure on those.  There was a point they  made coupons very easy to get.  If you emailed them they gave the to you.  And they gave a lot to people who got them.

So they might not have been worth much at all.

No only certain coupons are able to be used.  This is what has made them valuable this time.   Also not a ton got the coupons so it made it limited amount.

We really need a coupon thread though so it does not keep taking away from this thread.

Using mining calculator at https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin/mining , I am shocked of how much the monthly electricity cost will be for running this full time in California 24/7: $167
 Huh Shocked
45% of the revenue generated in the first month goes toward paying electricity.

That's a lot!

thats because its california. A lot of places pay <50% of that

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

Turns out the second fan was working the whole time, it was just the fan grill that made it look like it wasn't working (derp). So my previous noise level estimates were taken from the unit with both fans working.

Also, I just took a power reading and it looks like this miner takes 1200W exactly for me, using a LEPA 1600W PSU.

Anything would do Smiley.  Finally not speculation if these are hitting doors now.

And the shipped ahead of start like normal. Seems they keep a habit of it.

Sure, I can try and take a short video of it hashing away a little later today. I've taken a few pictures already of the unboxing, but I'll take more of it all hooked up and hashing as well. Should have the video of the miner up in about 10 hours or so at the latest.
