Your S7 looks like it's doing well.  Previous posts seem to indicate the default frequency is 600; not 612.  Was 612 the next step up?

It's the third step up.  I tried all freqs 600 up thru 650 for 8 mins each; 612 was best out of those tested.

My S7 arrived today, just plugged everything in to test it. For some reason I do only get around 1700GH/s although all blades seem to work.
I have a higher HW rate, what can cause this?

Edit:
Got it: I had to change the frequency for some reason. I set it to 612 and then back to 600, now it is working.

Happy to hear that.  I was just about to respond.

Got my S7 today! And my first post Smiley  Been running for a couple hours and getting almost exactly 4.86 TH/s at default 600MHz...and has not had a single HW. It is using more power than I expected. I have it connected to one Antec HCP-1300 Platinum and it is showing 1,350watts with a Kill A Watt meter at the wall. The brief info card that came with it also said it uses 1,210watts and would use about 1,400watts at the wall with a standard server power supply. Wasn't it supposed to be 1,210watt at the wall with a 93% efficiency power supply? I was expecting about 1,250watts at the wall with my Antec HCP-1300 running at around 90% efficiency.

The red light is also blinking on the miner. Not sure how to figure out what the issue is, as it is hashing at expected rate as shown by the miner and the pool. I'm thinking maybe a fan problem. Without manually changing the fan speed, Fan 1 is always running at 4,560 and Fan 2 always runs at 3,120. Temp is 58-60c for all three boards in 23c ambient basement. When I try to manually set the fan speed, it doesn't change much. At 50% the fans run at 4,000/3,000. At 80% it is 4,200/3,120. My S5s work as expected when I manually adjust the fan speed.

It would be interesting to see others adjust their fan speeds as well to see if both fans are close to the same RPM's or if they are substantially different as yours are.  AND to see if they also have the red light you are speaking of.

My order was supposed to arrive today via DHL, but it was held up today at customs.  Spoke to DHL and they say customs wanted to x-ray the package before it was cleared. Delivery is now scheduled for tommorrow.....

Just got mine running... almost wish I had ordered 10, not 2 Smiley

first impression is very good.. as usuall bitmain comes thru with a solid product....  which is more than you can say about most 'bitcoin hardware' manufactures.....  as in most dont even deliver anything!!

mine is running at about 4650:
34m13s

4,750.58

4,632.19

So that $40 I had to pay was in fact a "brokerage" fee by UPS.. thats kind of lame they wouldnt tell me that over the phone yesterday instead claiming it was a import fee set by customs.  but the delivery guy told me its a brokerage fee.. and only 1 of my 2 packages had the fee.

oh well, even the delivery guy was kind of perplexed about why it was even there

time to set them up

Plugged mine in and I'm currently pulling 1228-1229 from the wall with the same meter.  Fans are on auto control with default settings.  I'm getting right between 4.95TH/S to 5TH/S but I'm scoring a lot more HW errors at 0.0123% rate.  However I will say as time has worn on that HW error rate is actually going 'down', not up.  And believe it or not I think this thing is actually quieter then the S5's I was running.  I'll try to give a better update when this thing has been running for a day, not an hour.

This is using a EGA 'gold' rated 1300 Watt power supply.  Guess I got the platinum that just got rated poorly in the batch.

Any idea how much power it's drawing at 612 freq?

I'm wondering if this is a means of making an extra buck on UPS's part.  I mean, WHY a brokerage fee?  For doing what?

Mine arrived late tonight. I'm getting 4.8 THS with frequency at 600 . I'm ok with that. Maybe it will increase overnight.

It's louder than my S5s. I got a blinking green light...not a red one.

Sounds good...  I would be happy with that.

As for the blinking red light the other person has on their S7 and the fans that have a substantial difference in RPM's, I'm beginning to wonder if it has issues.

They have to much time on their hands if they are x-raying miners.   Seems like opening a box or two should confirm it.

I really don't like my local DHL.   It's the service I avoid.    But some claim they work great for them.

I believe the blinking red light is described in the Kernel Log as "error_fan 4, normal_fan 2, fan_num 1". This error was showing up every 10 seconds in the log, but seems to have spontaneously stopped for the last hour and the red blinking light is off and now the normal green blinking light is on. I still think the miner is pulling too many watts. And I'm curious if others have the large difference in RPMs between the two fans. I described the issue to Bitmain in a support ticket. We'll see what they say.

Dammit, I want one. Has anyone run ROI through a calculator based on ~$.10kWH?

I can go do it, but if someone has it off the top of their head...
