I always FedEx my shipments from Bitmain. The thing arrives in 3 days from half way around the world with zero issues. Course I haven't had the thrill of being spot checked by customs, but that's a risk everyone takes.
+1! I've had good experiences with FedEx too. My first S7 order was exactly like this. Took 3 days and was delivered before 10:30 AM, just as FedEx said it would. No delays and no drama. Of course carriers are like hard drives manufacturers. Everyone has a different favorite because of personal experience.

Bought them for all the computers and servers. Then IBM released the Deathstar 75 series, lol. After experiencing 10+ failures with those harddrives I never bought another IBM harddrive, or Hitachi after they bought IBM harddrive division. Mostly just use Seagates now.

Initial observations (got S7 yesterday, but had a busy day at my "regular" activities):
1. first two seconds-clanking and whining noise without fan even at a high speed yet-but i already had this before with S5. There is a simple reason-bitmain sometimes overtightens the screws on the first fan or even the second fan. For newbies at this: Don't panic, use a screwdriver to slightly loosen some of them-half turn or even less (typically not all four!) i did it on the fly, but if you want to be careful, switch it off, then loosen, then switch back on-repeat until no noise is coming from the fan(s) 2. It is too early, but it looks like I am at ~4833GH (after 2hr) at setting 600 and 1298W (0.268J/GH) at the wall using evga 1300 with two single cables extended by splitters. fans are at 4200 (both!), temp 51-52 at 28C ambient (~80F). Will move to other settings after a bit (like to warm it up on default first). 2. i am using spare couch pillows to "barricade" it-at 1m noise ~63-64dB, Edit: one extra plastic board and it is now 60dB in the spare bedroom at 1m distance, I put pillows/board in zigzag fashion-it seems to affect sound.

They have to much time on their hands if they are x-raying miners. Seems like opening a box or two should confirm it.
I really don't like my local DHL. It's the service I avoid. But some claim they work great for them.
I have used DHL on my S3+, S4, and S5 purchases, all have arrived without any issue. I personally use FedEx for all the other shipping I do. I cannot be upset that customs wanted to check out my package. Regardless, it is now in Miami and out for delivery [/quote] I've used all 3. No probs with any of them. Yesterday, my UPS shipment was supposed to be delayed til today because of a mechanical problem. Yet they delivered it yesterday and I was able to set it up. Certainly can't complain about that.

has anyone tried any other freq settings? ive got one that struggles, gets around 4750GH with 0.04 HW rate at stock settings.. and another that seems pretty beastly getting 4900GH at freq612 with 0.009 HW rate edit: testing 606freq on the good one now, seems to be a sweet spot.. 0.006 HW and similar speed edit2: also my 2 were pretty dusty. you can tell they werent new and have been running awhile.. even a little moth stuck inside Pics: http://imgur.com/a/8wOjGedit3: my second unit (the one that struggles) dropped to 4.66TH (which is what they were emailing ppl about)

WU is almost at 68K, speed is still climbing (currently ~4840GH average) at 600 while temp stays in at around 53 even with my current 81F ambient (it is still freakishly hot for the end of September-90F or slightly above outside). HW error 0.0067%. it might be able to overclock, I think, or 600 (default) is optimal for this machine Remember last summer S2 with WU at 14-15K using 1.1kw. Gosh, i like scientific progress.

yeah it seems like higher freq net like 50-100GH at most.. but vs higher power draw it might not be worth it for such a small bump. my troubled s7 running stock settings is slowly climbing after 1.5hrs its at 4725gh and 0.04% HW

I know this seems strange but freq 612 has a lower error rate 0.023%; I highly recommend trying it.
I tested 6 different freq. givens: time: 15 + minutes PSU: silverstone 1200 on 2 blades, SS750 on 1 blade and bone pool: antpool HW: taken from the Diff1# column freq GH/S(avg) HW watts w/gh amb temp temps fans 587.5 4,534.00 0.04% 1159 0.2556 25.2 (49,46,46) (4200,3960) 593.75 4,583.53 0.04% 1172 0.2557 25.2 (49,46,47) (4200,3960) 600 4,600.97 0.06% 1185 0.2576 25 (49,46,47) (4200,3960) 606.25 4,426.16 0.14% 1188 0.2684 25 (49,46,46) (4200,3960) 612.5 4,505.14 0.14% 1206 0.2677 25 (50,47,47) (4200,3960) 618.75 4,411.42 0.18% 1215 0.2754 25 (51,48,48) (4300,4080)
this is a second s7 runtime 18hrs 600 4,629.18 0.07% 28-32 (55,53,54) (4440,4200)
my take: stable basic btc miner.. thank you bitmain... HOWEVER, it should have been sold as a 4.6th miner, not a 4.8 imo I will be running mine at 593 freq. update: so here is a twist.. moved it into the DC room and after 20 minutes at 593 temps are 55 with a 4500 fan

Got one up and running for two hours. It has EVGA Gold 1000 on two boards and EVGA Gold 650 on one board and controller.
Getting 4,845 on default 600 Temperatures are 50,50,51 Fans are 4,080 and 3,960 HW is .0065% Drawing 1,271 watts from wall I am mining on Eligius.
I have it in the same room with several S5's and I don't think its really any louder. It just has a lower pitch noise then the S5.

I'm Cdn too. I've had decent luck with UPS when ordering from Bitmain. Maybe, try them next time.

i think that it takes some time to stabilize, even more than 2 hr. what exactly is fan % changes? i changed to 90% and it is the same fan speed as before-4200/4200 (it did not become 3800).

65% = 4200 40% = 3600 35% = 3200 30% = 2800 25% = 2500 20% = 2000 fantastic, thanks my s7 seems to have low % of error so far. 0.0062% error at 600 hashing 6hr at 4830-4850, temp 52-53C, fans at 4200/4200 0.0068% at 606 hashing 2hr at 4870-4890 temp 52-53C fans at 4320/4200 0.0087% at 612 hashing 2hr at 4950 (shweeeet!) temp 52-53C fans at 4320/4200, wattage went up ~25W between 600 and 612, gh increased as expected ~100gh tomorrow I will try reducing fan to see where the similar hash would be with higher temp. I am pretty sure that it can go to 59C, maybe at 600 or 606 and lower fan
