I have got a batch 2 ! yaaay

Paid
Shipped
Valid

https://gyazo.com/988a4ac526065471e8b7833d7cb58a9a

I can't belive this was shipped actually even earlier then specified !
I guess Bitmain is trying to make it better for being late with b1 !

Thank you Bitmain

Looking forward to recive my miners !
Same here, but obviously you also have no shipping number, yet (you can still edit it)?
I hope this is not an issue on their site since it seems they also did something on their order numbers.

I am beginning to think that they had the 2015-09-28 00:00:00 labels already made for all of the orders. When they realized that their were problems with the chips, they held off on shipping.

If you have already printed thousands of shipping labels with the orderid references, you really wouldn't want to reprint them all. That's my suspicion at this point since I have had to do large shipping label runs in a previous life.

Ufo

I disagree with you as all these unshipped miners showed up yesterday morning as being shipped.

Damn ! it was too good to be true !

Based on what I have seen I am thinking there was an error and nearly every order in the system got marked as shipped, from talking to a couple of folks even batch 3s paid for hours ago marked as shipped...

. You all seem to give a fcuk on anonymity and also give a fcuk on keeping the chain well distriputed and healthy by your greedy poolmining...

Hmmm.  Using BitcoinCZ stats as a basis, my current 6.7TH of ASIC farm ((2) S3s, (3) S4s) pays about 0.005 BTC per found block and that pool finds half-a-dozen or so blocks a day.  If I'm doing the math right, if I solo mined BTC and had average luck, I could find a bit under 1 coin per month solo mining, or 25+ months per block.

Is that what you recommend?  Run for 2 years and hope I find a block, with nothing in between?

Seems to me that unless your spending thousands a month in electricity, pools are not really an option anymore (e.g.  "not an option, a necessity").

I think you did not get the point...
BTC is centralized more than ever, you are complaining about not getting your miners from a "legit" company like BITMAIN, the so called ROI's are shifting more and more over to more than a year with investments that are quite huge taking your monthly sallary into consideration just for getting a glimpse in a very volatile payment system that was thought for another purpose.
If you take a look at BTC at the value it is today, it probably would be smarter to buy BTC for the ammount you invested in your gear that is out over a month now and you are loosing value on your investment.
I did some maths, and my conclusion was to sell my gear and hold the ammount of BTC worth the gear, sit back, have a coup of tea and take a look at the value in one year from now.
The probability that i loose some of my holding in the event of BTC crashing back to $10 is less compared to the market value of my gear at the same event.

Well, if you do your maths, there will porbably pop up the same conclusion that occured to me with raising power costs etc....
If you want to mine, set up your own pool and go for it, that would be in the meaning of BTC along my comprehension.
I am not stressed with power costs, heat (which is good if you can use it to heat your home or your water), noise, failing hardware, not getting your hardware, your wifes complainment(naging) and so on.

Guys think about it. The fraction of home miners is currently a drop in the bucket compared to the raising "industry" at the moment speaking and please keep in mind, that the home miner is always served last with hardware that is one evolution, maybe two, steps behind of the development speaking of 0,06J hardware in use at the moment speaking.

I personally have no interest in beeing the dumb cash cow of the industry anymore.

Concluding i will turn my back on BTC and use other currencies based on another protocol than BTC to have truly secure, private and anonym possibilities to make my transactions besides FIAT  Roll Eyes

Today my order for the Batch 1 Antminer S7's arrived!
They are preforming better than expected.
The only problem is that they have a high pitched sound that is looking like a bearing problem in the fans......  Two our of the four that I received have this problem.
Waiting for my Batch 3 Antminer S7's...

gwg
I got that high pitched sound too. If I place my hand close to the rear fan it seems to stop.
I think the fans are too close to the chassis.
Had the problem with s5 also
I made a spacer from an old fan and placed it in between the fan and the chassis, used longer screws, no more whine.

well I got a note from FedEx on my door yesterday after work that they tried to deliver something. The only thing I have on order is the S7 so it seems mine may be state-side already about still no update from Bitmain on my support tickets.

Does anyone have the same situation as mine? I only got the PSU but not the Antminer S7.

Undecided Undecided Undecided Undecided Undecided Undecided

Please help!

Anyone? Im freaking out. Im worried.

Don't worry, it's the same for me. They shipped the PSU's rather quickly, and only the tracking number of the PSU shipment is visable on that order summary page. I got the tracking info on the S7 directly from UPS. Not a word from Bitmain Smiley

+1

Bitmain only seems to be providing tracking numbers for the first shipment (generally the PSU) then when the miner itself gets shipped there is nothing.  UPS provides a pretty slick way of seeing anything that is shipping to your address - maybe try to find out if DHL can do that - otherwise it will probably just show up in the next couple days (or you'll get the customs call)

My partner is in China now and he will visit Bitmain tomorrow, I told him to ask what was the exact problem with late shipments and why the batches have different hashes. I'll let you guys know if I get an answer.

I called DHL this morning.

Package is stuck in Customs in Cincinnati.  No progress since Sunday night.  The status went from an estimated delivery yesterday to "unknown".  Apparently Bitmain called and started a trace yesterday, due today.

I choose DHL because of Customs warnings with FedEx, and paid a higher shipping charge due to that.  Is UPS any better?

I have bought many miners from Bitmain and never had a problem with UPS. Have watch the miners come thru Alaska to Kentucky and be delivered to me in less than 3 days total.

Something wrong with this picture.
Why are there a poop load of s7's sitting on the ground in a parking lot?
Don't think I would be putting $2000 electronics on the ground.
Must have pulled them out of a dumpster.

Confiscated? Isn't it illegal to use BTC in Russia?

These were not in russia it was China.  Look at CYBTC review, he is in china. So no not confiscated.

I suspect he got a pallet of miners.  Likely does not care about boxes so unboxed them there.   He could have done it so we don't see his data center, or what hes using in data center or how big.   Or he just thought it would be impressive a lot laying outside in decent lighting which it is.

But I'm sure they took them and put them in the building beside it and they are now hashing away.

ups is better for shipment to NJ then fedex or dhl,but these are more expensive and if you purchased 2 or more you go over 2500 usd

that 2500 usd number can make :

fedex
 dhl
ups fuck you.

I ordered 3 s-7's all one at a time to ease the issues.

I would not order psu's mixed with s-7's for fear of getting one not the other.

And I got a shipping notice for my batch 2. but not sure it shipped.

there is no safely in overclocking as you lose the warranty, but if you must, then going to 606 first, waiting at least 2hr, checking speed, boards temperature and errors, then increase to 612, etc.
