Is SD-S7-20151211-600.tar.gz the newest for the Batch 1 S7?

No, the latest is from
Wed Apr 20 17:35:27 CST 2016

S7-20160420-700M-2fan-4320.tar.gz S7 Firmware - 700M, 4.73th/s miner MD5: 4E8CC8C4F6D27E554C60F06D3EBDACC1

https://bitmaintech.com/files/download/S7-20160420-700M-2fan-4320.tar.gz

Works great with patch1 and 3, 5, 7

Tupsu
I do not see that for a batch 1 which uses 600 Frequency
I see it for several others, if not all freqs.

Wait, you are telling me that the firmware named 2fan is for every 2fan miner.
Right?
Even though it has 700M in the description and batch1 is 600?

good luck with that sloopy. my batch 2 is still working well

Thanks Phil!
I am not doing too much physical stuff at the moment dealing with these stones, but I am going to get this miner running today even if I have to get someone to come over and I tell them what to do. Smiley

I have had kidney sand  bad ,but nothing like a stone.

Drink lots of

Aquafina

 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquafina

It is the closest thing to pure water there is.   i.e.   just H2O

it helps wash away  the stones and calcium deposits.

If you do try bottled water it must be filtered and have nothing added back.

Aquafina = good as it is filtered no additives

Dasani   =  bad as it is filtered but they add a mineral mix for flavor not for you

Poland Spring = bad as it has natural minerals

a full list  check labels in stores to be sure the one you use is filtered with zero minerals

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bottled_water_brands

good luck with that sloopy. my batch 2 is still working well

@philipma1957 @sloopy

I have b1,2,4,5,6,7 miners. b1 and b2-I updated to Oct 23 version before, the rest were on Sept 15 software.
Yesterday, after reboot, miners on Oct 23 version did not come back (no hashing), but those on Sept 15 came back fine, which probably explains phils's observation re b2.
Upon updating to Dec 11 software (575 version for b2 and 600 version for b1), both came back hashing fine.
Bottom line: if your miners are on Sept 15 software and have no problems, then it's fine.
if you are (b1-8) on Oct 23 software, they might stop hashing on reboot of cgminer (due to problem described on prior pages) and would require update to Dec 11 version.

EDIT: if bitmain warranty says to use Dec 11 version and not April, personally, I would go with this suggestion. i don't really care about latest and greatest version as long as machines are working as intended.

Thank you Tupsu.
Tupsu I know you did a lot with running multiple blades with one controller and if I remember correctly you mentioned the October firmware is the most recent you can run more than three with. Is that correct?

Biodom That is exactly what happened to my batch 1. It had been up for over 30 days and the HW errors were starting to show negative. I like to give things a reboot if they get to that point and sure enough on reboot she showed 0 for all values on the status screen.
I will probably try December first just to see if it works for me and I am also curious if the multiple blades from one controller is still broken in the two fan version so maybe Tupsu will weigh back in as well.

Phil Much appreciation on the bottled water tips. All I ever drink is bottled water during the weekdays with the occasional coffee or crown royal on the weekends.
I am checking with my General Practitioner regarding the blasting process they have available and if the recovery time has improved. I read it can take 2 - 4 weeks to recover from that procedure and if so I may as well fight it out this week and hope I pass everything.

One thing I would say to anyone who has never had a Kidney stone is to do everything possible to avoid them.
Some things my Dr. and I feel contributed to my situation is even though all I drink is water 5 days per week I am not drinking enough which leads to chronic dehydration. I perspire a lot, I mean a lot, and I haven't been replacing those fluids enough.
Also, eating salads every day. As funny as it sounds because we all know salads help to lose or maintain a good weight and I have been enjoying different types, but still mainly it is a large amount of greens and vegetables which have tons of things that may build up in your kidneys.
I have been taking a Vitamin C supplement for a long time. Boom, I find out even if you stay within the recommended daily amounts when combined with other factors it can be a big contributor.
The main thing though is hydration, hydration, hydration.
Also, genetics play a part, but for the ladies out there men have a 70% more likely chance to have them.
Once a man does have them there is a 10% increase in the chance you will have another one every year until you do. So at 5 years from now I have a 50% chance to get one that year.

Why you most definitely do not want it to happen to you?
The pain is out of this world.
I do not go to the ER unless I am missing a limb. Well, not quite that bad, but I think many people are the same way. The ER visits cost a fortune even with good insurance which thankfully I have.
The pain hit me all at once around 1 - 2 AM yesterday morning and by 8: AM I was in the ER getting large morphine doses via IV. No, the morphine didn't feel good, I didn't feel it all, it simply helped the pain for a bit. That is how you know what level of pain I was at. Even with 250mg of morphine x2 over two hours plus some other significant pain killer starting with a T which I do not recall the name I was not "high" from it, but my pain was held at bay. These things are PAINFUL!

Take care of your bodies people. I'm sure many of you are like me in the fact you will work all day and night and then do it again because that is what we enjoy. Make sure you are drinking a few quarts of water per day, and as Phil mentioned drinking the right type of water is important.
By the way Phil, I had a few gallons of distilled water from a project I was playing with and that is what I started drinking yesterday. Today I am taking your advice looking through the bottled water available here along with using Lemon juice I squeeze myself.

Thanks for all the help guys and take care of your miners, bodies, and minds! Obviously not in that order Smiley

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function.
Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

Tested the 2016 S7 FW on one of my S7 which is acting up and failing to come back from 2nd failover pool.
I thought I have fixed this when I installed the Dec 2015 FW, but lately same issues of not able to come back to main pool cleanly, always resulting in power restart.
Worked like a champ that FW -- looks like its universal for S7s (600mhz or 700mhz ones)
I am going to leave this running overnight and see what happens.

I too am in search of bitmain coupon to order my first new antminer S7.

Regardless of a coupon, how does import taxs work when buying direct?  There are many posts saying yes, no, here there and such as, I didn't find a definitive answer though.  Is the tax for on s7 included in the shipping charges or do I have to make arrangements or have cash in hand upon delivery??  Looking at bitmains site the miner as of yesterday 533 + 54.82 shipping via ups from bitmain to heartland of US of A.  Bitcoin seems to be on slight down trend today, but a coupon and clarification of taxes will help me pull the trigger.

Thanks,
Abe

S7 600mhz works good overnight, put it to test on failover 5 times using a SHA algo-pool that can't handle high diff and it recovered impressively.
Tonight will test on a batch 700mhz.

How to get out from Antminer S7 controller B.B.B.    software ?

File System Version - Tue Sep 15 16:50:19 CST 2015

It still works great with the 6 x S7 blades.

This version has never been downloadable from Bitmain page.

Possible to take some pictures what the S7 is doing?

Thank you!

Hi guys, i have bought several s7 in the last months, but im having problems with one of them

The miner sometimes try to powerup, it shows the green and orange led, and the red led behind the lan port, but then it stop flashing the lights, and sometimes just stop, doesnt do anything else. Sometimes it doesnt power up at all, or just powerup and stop flashing the lights

I dont know what to think, it was working fine, then this happened. (i had never tried to update it)

What can i do?

Greetings to all

Will do that today, maybe i should upload a video?

And no, ive never updated the firmware, i always try to apply "if its working fine dont fix it"

You should update to the latest firmware on all your S7 miners as soon as possible.

firmware wise, please update when you have to (need to), other wise, let it be.  Leave Ants Alone if it is working for you!
