Lol

This is gold, as in comedy. I love Bitmain ineptitude and indifference to customer care, to them you are nothing more than a source of dollars, not people, they think they can just step on you, squeeze you till your blood runs dry. Vampires, man, vampires, stay away people!

And this is different from any other company how?

Its pretty simple.  Don't use China RMA.  Use any other option!  Denver for me!

Can we do ETH mining with Antminer s7?

No S7 is Bitcoin or altcoins using the same crypto method.

Just a question regarding S7 troubleshooting:
I have several different broken boards (not working properly). In order to create screenshots for Bitmain: Is it a problem to only connect one hashboard and let the miner run with it?

I just only connected one board and I am a bit confused about the result:

All Asics seem to be fine (although I know the board has problems and should not work), but it does not start hashing. Would hashing work in general only with one connected blade?

If hash PCB does not hash, (may be detected) that is the correct screen shot...

I think PCB may need service/repair.

Some hash PCB, can be shown with all "o" or "x" or "-" or nothing.   but may not hash if the hash PCB is experiencing the problem

please just to make sure and try with a good hash PCB and it hash on the same data port and data cable.  (to weed out the possibility of the bad cable or the bad data port.

While I am not questioning the accuracy of this, how did you come to find this out? It's entirely consistent with other bits of information and the very recent hashrate "acceleration".

just various tidbits of info floating around.

Bitfury, BW, and Bitmain all have new chips very nearly ready. Bitfury and Bitmain were both impacted by the TMSC 14A earthquake damage (which meant a 30-60 day setback as bitcoin ASICs are relatively small clients/priority) That means chips should be about due to start or come from production around now.

S7 prices are quickly approaching the manufacturing cost, which is likely $250/unit considering  parts (assuming ~$1/ASIC chip) and staff pay.

the hashrate movement seen over the last day or two is mostly varience. its not like a 200MWatt datacenter just flips a switch and puts over 100PH online instantly.

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

Can you at least make it to the login page or the initial password screen, then to this main page with blank data?

If so,  you have a few options

1st be to factory reset the S7 with a paperclip.  There is a pin hole next to the Ethernet connector and use a paperclip and press and hold the button for about 10 seconds and let it go and wait for about 30 seconds and then physically reboot the S7.  This may restore it to the factory default setting.

If this does not help, you may want to go find 8gb microSD card, and create a bootable MicroSD card and insert it into the microSD slot of the S7 and power it off and power it back on.  Let the S7 complete the boot process and if possible, let it run as is for about 5 minutes then your Beagle Bone Black may be restored to the factory default setting.

If none of these works, your Beagle Bone Black or the Control PCB may be damaged.

Antminer S7 B10 not connecting to the setup page. Nothing is configurable, miner is inaccesible.

Someone told me they fixed this in a new firmware update. Is this true? Im afraid to do a firmware update and that my miner will brick.

Ive tried resetting multiple times with no success, I can get to the login page but after 2-3 minutes I only get the blank page. I will try the bootable microSD option tomorrow and will report back. Thank you

Hello; i am having the same problem with my s7. i log into de miner interface but is blank. anyone knows the the answer to this matter? i really apreciate your feedback on this.

I RMA'd some boards, I still have a couple of problems with some miners, which leads me to think that PCB is damaged on some of them. This is truly the last time I'm supporting BITMAIN with my money to produce such junk. I hope there is some other company out there that takes over in the near future.
