First of all be careful about any altcoin that you encounter before you invest in it to trade. Many ICOs here and there have been pure scams and people have lost millions in them by buying it and then prices are so low that they cant even sell for any profit. I wont name any but there are several coins which also just became "dead" and hence not worth investing in them. The remaining few are worth investing in and can give you profits. But even then I still consider altcoin trading to be a very risky job and bitcoin is much safer than that.

Just stay away from the Ponzi scheme and of gambling because it is so risky and do not invest your coins in there, chances are you will lose all your hard earned money you invest there. You can start trading if you have a good experience about it.

Its really not advisable to invest in hyip site we all know that they will only take your money and vanish like a bubble. for me investing in altcoins is a good way if you want to grow your btc, like other investment it has also risk but if you know what youre doing and careful in choosing what altcoin is worth buying then you can earn for sure.

That is normal with bitcoin that it go down a little to lower price and then come again to its high price that is why I do not worry whenever the price go down and do not sell immediately my bitcoins at lower price but I continue to hold according to my long term storing planning.

Yep ETH keep rocking I just buy it for 0.035 and still waiting to pumped and plan to sell. ETH is a good altcoin to invest because there are possible chance that it will be higher than it's price now

Btc was the best investment when it was priced under $1,000.

It could be a great investment priced in the 10x0's.

The only thing holding it back are concerns over forks.

Once those concerns come to an end, it should be back at $1100-1200 or higher.

For me, it is best for potential investors to wait for the result of the fork after April 1 so they can see if the price will go even further or it will bounce back again. Below at least $900 is the best price for me to buy in because it is safer for me than buying at $1,000 because the average price range for me is $1,100 so if you want a bigger profit then you should buy even lower.

All this depends upon your plan and thinking that will result into a big profit or loss .
Here is my self thinks that there are only two to three types of plans .
first is to made Investment in the trading for altcoins ( which is known as the trading )
Second thing that I found somewhat profitable is Investment in the ICO but always be careful before Investment in the ICO Because most of the ICO are not profitable , so before Investment take every detail and information​ and uniqueness that making it different from other things .
Third is Investment in the casinos which is more and more risky ( we can say it similar to the Gambling )

So I guess the people can invest in altcoin at the moment. Only those which are going to rise in price in future though. Bitcoin will remain strong and safe as usual even after hard forking. People can invest and trade in bitcoin for many more years to come and it will still be worth it.

Be careful of hyip sites and MLM sites which claim to know a lot and are actually just ponzi schemes run to steal our money. Many altcoins have run scam too so be careful of what you invest in.

It's always better to stay in Bitcoin. People try to escape current fud and shilling about the potential hard fork by hedging Bitcoin. But the problem is that the most popular altcoins are already pumped to the sky. I can't see any reason for people to jump into these altcoins at current levels. It's even that far, that even near-dead altcoins have been pumped out of nothing in the last days. It's a desperate attempt to make even more profit from this situation.

[1] Investment is not same with Trading, learn about these definition first. Both of these have different risk.
[2] I can agree with this. There were some good ICO and some for now (Edgeles and wetrust), say Stratis coin which the price was around 1200 satoshis, and now it's at 17k satoshis (more than 10x)
[3] Investment in casinos isn't too risky because you can manage the risk (leverage) by yourself. Just invest in casinos which proven trustworthy.

Usually gamblers with low capital tend to take bigger risk and investing in casino's bankroll is not suitable for them. Participating in the ICO is one of the best way to grow your money substantially, of course in every investment to be successful you also have to make a deep study and analysis of the project to come up with a very good decision.

Lending money is really good option as you have good collateral in return so chances of getting scammed is lower and you can earn good interest from it and that can give you regular income and apart from that investing in reputed altcoin is also an good option.

Altcoin trading is risky if you invest in some newly arrived coin hoping that its price will pump in quick time but the fact is we can invest in some reputed coins like etc, eth, xmr as they have potential to give us good profits in long term.
