The Gemini project is great news but have to agree with the artical. This is not the reason for the recent 10%+ pump. It's ALL the other great news and VC money that has been flowing into BTC for the better part of a year and the leverage to Chinese citizens. We're set to hit 1Billion $ in VC money and we aren't even mainstream.

The possibilities are endless my friend!

"Why only Bitcoin Matters — (and why everything else matters less)"

Good, very good. If this is the title of an article made from wallstreettechnologist the next will which tell this will be Federal Reserve. Even its desire to have USAcoin will recognize that bitcoin is superior to it. If such will be true and having in mind that bitcoin is regulated and legal in USA remain few from the realize (maybe) of my wonder about the role of bitcoin in the world of currencies.... This signs are very hopeful .....

If it will be so for the USA it will be sure for every other country.

Don't worry, Bitcoin is here to stay and we are moving quite so well and fast in "Bitcoin speed" my dear Professor Smiley

It is my hidden dream my friend. This kind of invention deserve this and more. As for the "Professor" there are far away the years passed when I teaches my students (are more than 14). So better the use of "friend" or "brother". My life has taken much different road since the leaving of the University by me. So I forget the "Professor" (even I have yet already this title. And I will have "this stone in my sholders" until the day of my death).  Cheesy

Very strange this article. In Vietnam the bitcoin is banned. How is possible that a merchant is able to accept bitcoin for its product? For more, how is possible this thing in a country like Vietnam which is a socialist one (having only one political party like China Cuba and Laos)? Maybe has been made an exception for the company which accept bitcoin being it an international one.

And in the article has no only one word about the ban of bitcoin there. Strange even this.

Or maybe Wikipedia is not updated with the last news: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_Bitcoin_by_country

because ... Bitcoin noetwork is not hosted by gov like fiat money.
And you have a parallel economy like Bitcoin network, you don't need fiat money ... any more.

As far as I know, Bitcoin is not banned there. On the contrary, Bitcoin business there is growing.

You must have no idea about a country which is governed by only one political party. I had this experience. My first 27 years was lived in a such kind of country. In this kind of country you are controlled by the "Big Brother" in every aspect of your live and life. Not only in the public life (like it is the example of article) but even within your home. In that kind of country if the Government don't want something it is for sure that "that thing" will not happen for sure. Never. Period.

Not because I have doubts in your words but to read more, can you give here the source of your knowledge about the not ban of bitcoin in Vietnam? I thought that Wikipedia is a secure source. But if your telling is true and your source is credible I must rethink this thing. Must to be careful in the future when I will make references from this source. Can be "liar" and "not reliable".  Wink
