might be wrong place to put it but dont know where. new to the forum

why does not cgminer-4.9.2-windows support more miner hardware

like gridseed need to use cgminer-3-8-5-gridseed-windows
sane with antminer u3 cgminer-Antminer_U3

Because the official cgminer has never supported the gridseed. The only gridseed support was from an unofficial fork of cgminer since it is primarily used as an altcoin mining device.
Developer/maintainer for cgminer, ckpool/ckproxy, and the -ck kernel
2% Fee Solo mining at solo.ckpool.org
