Im so sick of trying to buy Bitcoins With a hassle on my credit card !!!
no one will let me buy from them cause im from the USA  WTF

Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

Yes, it's really amazing what they are doing in the US, the land of free. I would never comply with the KYC and the rest of the crap which leaves you with two options.

Either you will find somebody on the currency exchange thread of this forum, but somebody with the high true rating and arrange a trade with him, or you find somebody for a face to face trade if you live in the major US city. Both options are riskier than exchanges but take your time, use your judgement and you can finish the job quite successfully.

Good luck!

The US has turned into a police state long time ago. It's just crazy what is going on there with all that monitoring, controlling and exaggerated regulations.

Yes, I have windows 8.1 and my update keeps telling me to upgrade to windows 10. I found out from anonymous hackers group that windows ten is designed to monitor everything including Bitcoins .Thats why its free. its also really hard to leave the country if you dont know anyone in the country you are going to as well. did you now we get fined if we live off the grid !!! The American dream is dead due to socialist. I hope TRUMP become president only because there is no strings on him......I still cant find bitcoins,i guess i should look for someone on here in the marketplace but it scares the hell out of me.

Yeah I heard similiar things about windows 10. Especially if you wanna install it not be default but user-defined it's still a hassle to switch off certain features. Don't update to that shit. I will continue using my actual OS.

Regarding coming elections. Do you really think Trump what be right choice? I'm not american but I listened a lot to what he said and how he behaves. And in my opinion that guy would be a completely nightmare for the US.

The thing is all the other candidates are nothing but puppets and the American people know it. I just said yesterday they should all wear jackets like race car drivers so we know who is sponsoring them !!! The world economy is crashing..china will fall soon and take other countries with it its already happening.TRUMP is a businessman and knows how to make the country richer and that's what we need. The fact he speaks his mind and has no political correctness make american people feel they can relate.Obama has really destroyed this country doubled the deficit gave foreign countries nukes tried to change the constitution by taking away our firearms made a healthcare system in his name renamed mountains  im sorry but he's a socialist pig. The difference between socialism and democracy  is socialist stand in line to get a loaf of bread and democratic republic have bread on the shelves waiting for them . This is why europe is flooded with refugees right now...  all flooding to democracy . America is the heart of the world and we fight everyone's battles and give so much to other counties and we get shit..Everytime someone goes to war guess who they call..not russia or china brazil not even Britain ..they call the USA ! Trump will charge every county money "unless its in our interest like killing innocents" for all this money we are dumping on foreign soil and get rid of Obama's deficit .

Well, I'm glad you found a way to buy your Bitcoins, but yes, it is true there are a lot of restrictions in the USA to buy Bitcoin. It's too much of a threat to the US Dollar that the government is doing everything it can to stop it from becoming mainstream. Still, you got some Bitcoin and that is good.

Signatures? How about learning a skill... I don't care either way. Everybody has to make a living somehow.

see,im from alabama and cex.io wont sell to me do to a licence problem, the closest local bitcoin guy is like 100 miles away, there is no BTC ATM's, i dont wnt to get scammed by someone i dont know and the rest wants so much data on me it scares me since i am using the darknet with the funds... what to do..... Cry Cry Cry

Well, with localbitcoin, you don't always have to meet, or even be in the same state. Like I said, I'm thinking of using moneygram. There are some people that ask for cash deposits (https://localbitcoins.com/buy-bitcoins-online/cash-deposit/), you can look for a bank in the US that works for you (though for that, I suggest you browse into those options, rather than using my link, cause then, you'd get more useful listings.
i tried local bitcoins and entered my password in 3 times wrong and the tried to reset and they banned my ip for an hour then i reset my password and it said it will take 2 weeks because i had 2nd password google authenticator on months ago and got new phone so im locked out of local coins until then

Just register another account in localbitcoins, forget about the frozen one

BTW, it is not so easy to make so many mistakes in a row, I guess you must be a non-IT guy, then better do not touch bitcoin before you have done further research, otherwise you might lose your coin soon and you will never figure out why  Wink

I'm thinking of buying a few bitcoin by sending it through moneygram. There are a few people in LocalBitcoin.com that accept it as a form of payment, and they don't over-charge too much. They're usually selling at a 2% above market rates. For me, it's the most convenient way to do it (anonymous, too) as the fees on the exchange I have available to me are above the fees of the moneygram transfer. I would suggest that route for you too.
Is the 2% cheaper than the Virwox route? I guess it is, but Virwox was one of the fastest ways, but had the biggest fees.
Anyway, I think its a real problem, in USA its getting more and more annoying to buy BTC with all the regulations, so you are stuck with LocalBitcoins where you can't do trading (if you are into that).
If you want to hold long term just buy there.

You can try the localbitcoins approach, but do it in smaller amounts if youre worried about getting scammed in person.

Also I suggest while youre trying to buy bitcoin, you do whatever to build your rep so you can purchase options bigger on the exchange thread.

And theres certain times you can buy w. paypal like certain sellers who already have the green rep thats of course repeating customers only route.

Well what else do you expect? Credit card fraud is one of the biggest frauds the internet and ecommerce has ever experienced. Bitcoin, a decentralized currency, and credit cards, which are supported by the bank, simply don't mix. Besides the principle of the two interfering, the fact remains, credit card scammers will always want to find ways to cash out the funds on the card, into real cash. Bitcoin will always remain a target which is why exchanges will never take credit cards.

Buy physical bitcoins - Casascius are the best.

I don't think you should worry too much about the information these companies ask for, it says that the country considers the currency and it's industry are legit, to be respected.

casascius are nice, probably your best bet for physical coins.

my one issue with them is in case you ever needed to liquidate btc fast, those can make things tough.  I mean, if youre willing to just part with the coin premium and redeem the face value of the coin then you lose the premium value, which in some cases can be pretty significant, esp if its a graded coin.  Just somethign to consider.

When I first got into bitcoin, about 6 or 7 months ago I decided to make a trade face to face in LocalBitcoins, although the trade went fine, I felt as if I was doing something wrong when I wasn’t so all this regulations seem to me to be over the top.

Well, it depends on how much money you exchanged. If he was paying you a big amount, then it was most certainly a crime because I think it's illegal to do exchanges of money that go after X amount untaxed (again im not sure, I have never done big exchanges of cash money and probably depends on the country) and the thing is with Bitcoin you could trade millions if the guy had millions in cash to give to you.
