Your social network is a HumHub knock-off https://www.humhub.org

It's open source, used as it was intended.  How is that a "knock-off"?

It's similar with bitcoin and alt coins. Bitcoin is like Facebook and alt coins are  like all the other social networks. The only worthy bitcoin social network is ZapChain, but I hope this project actually stays alive for some time and doesn't vanish like al the other alt coins.

This topic shows exactly why we need uCrypto -

I want a place to take my coins and my announcements and my projects.

I want to share information with normal people and get important updates from pools, devs, and the crypto community.

And I don't want every discussion clogged up with insane rants from weirdos who are off their meds, or fudding their competition, or hyping their scams, or just trying to sell banner adspace and get a post count.

I want a quiet place to hype MY stuff, and if you think it's a scam then you can unfollow me.

ZapChain is nice.

And not too mention, Forums are old, they are slow, they are just old in general.

I wish I could give you a "Like" on this site, but I can't. I can do it on uCrypto though Smiley

Who are the people behind the website? - I am the only one, I am the sole-owner.
Would like to know who those people are.

How do you get your revenue? - I have some "silent" investors who have helped fund the start of the project, but since then they have all been paid back. If you knew me, you would know money is not a concern.
What is in it for the users to sign up at your site? - They get to use a free, online site where they do not have to worry about what they say.

What guarantees can you give the users? - I can guarantee a safe, and free online website. We ensure everyone's privacy and information, and that under any circumstance, will never be released, sold, or dumped into plain text. However, we must comply with the USA laws, as stated in my sites Rule located in the uCrypto.co Lounge (Under Wiki). Which means if you make a terroristic threat or post child pornography and such, we must give that to law enforcement otherwise if something happens, we can be charged as an accessory for knowing but not doing anything. Hopefully you can understand.

You are the sole-owner?
Does the sole-owner have a name that can be double checked so we can investigate you and make sure you are not scammer?

If you so called comply to USA laws people are not allowed to say everything they want to say and all userdata is available to NSA. There goes your privacy.

I see a lot of red flags, not going to sign up.

1.) If you sign up you will see my name. Many people can verify who I am, and those people are a pretty big name in the crypto-community.

2.) Your reading too much into it. As said before, this was launched to help combat Facebook's magic ban hammer since they do not like cryptocurrency, this is not the silk road, this is not 4chan or 9gag, this is supposed to be a relaxed website.

Really?
Tell us who you are.
Can we check you linkedin, twitter, facebook whatever?
Who are those bigshots you are talking about care to share their name?

Like I said, you are trying to collect as much mails as possible and sell them to online marketeers  Wink

RED flags everywhere!

Libel: a published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation.

You said: "Like I said, you are trying to collect as much mails as possible and sell them to online marketeers "

You are therefore trying to hurt my site and its name/reputation by a false claim. We never sold emails, never plan to, and never will. Many people get sued for libel.

And many people get scammed in the cryptoworld.
Why don't you tell us who you are because obviously you are hiding something.

Many people get sued for libel in the USA since your website falls under USA law.
As long as you can not provide any details on yourself, your working history and how your company is listed in the USA you are nothing more than a scam for me.

Please do tell me in what state is your business registered?
Do you have a tax ID number for your business?
What licenses or permits do you have?
What is the legal structure of your business?

Like I said you can't answer any of my questions and my questions are just normal everyday questions when handing out personal date.
Therefore RED Flags

Who said I was a business? No one, and in the USA, as long as you are not making money, you do not need a business license for an online website that is exchanging nothing, making no revenue.

Maybe you should look past my old posts, or talk to some people I know. Specifically Sebdude420 (Good friend of mine) and I also know Adam McKenna, the COO of ZapChain.

Also feel free to check out the Facebook Group "Cryptocurrency Collectors Club" and ask them about TheBTCPool.com - That group has nearly 5K Members and I am fairly well known there.

You are still not telling who you are.
If I would know who you are and could double check you and see you are legit I would probably sign up.
But under these circumstances red red flags

You guys need to sign up now.  If you wait too long, you won't be eligible for an invite to my exclusive Week 1 Members group.  Fair warning.

I'm glad this site has free signup with any username and any email, so there's no conceivable way the site could ever scam you even if you lose your tinfoil hat.  Just one more great thing about uCrypto!

Looks like there is a new social media out there to combat Facebook and Forums. I checked it out, its a really nice and cool site. Its called uCrypto.co

The press release is here that introduces it.

https://thebtcpool.com/index.php/2015/09/04/ucrypto-co-a-new-social-network/

It's fast, smooth, and free, plus no ads which is nice!

You try very hard to make it look like this is not your website. What do you expect when you start your promotion with a lie?

Bitcoin is not a bubble, it's the pin!

When I took classes in journalism, I was taught "If you write in a 3rd party accent, it sounds more professional, and also more clearer" plus, it is better than hearing "I did this.." I changed that.." compared to "We as a team completed the following tasks.."

Stop trying to make out that you're somebody big.
You're a nobody trying to advertise his 0 effort website, any idiot can buy a domain/server and throw a free PHP script on it.

And you are just a lonely little troll. You have no idea what it takes to deploy such item, the optimization and configuration it takes on the backend, the CDN, and the main Private-to-Public network.

Interesting idea and a nicely done site. I am for projects like this. Anything, just to replace and maybe even beat Facebook one day, I did say one day! Smiley

I guess that they don't transmit all the sensitive info to the NSA so I will be registering and checking it out more thoroughly as soon as I get some time.
