You need to install Java 8.

Already had Java 8. I needed Oracle Java version 1.7.

Cryptsy is dragging their feet on this.  Sent them a few emails but they're behind and short on manpower so I think those with NAUT in Cryptsy will be delayed at least a week.  Maybe more.

You need Java 8, not 7. It could be that you have both installed, and java 8 is the one actually used. On MacOS, it has been reported that just installing the Java 8 JRE is not enough to setup the path correctly, one needs to install the full JDK.

I'm guessing you get stuck with the old currency which has no development of any sort.  I wish Cryptsy would hurry up and do the swap before something happens and 60% of the NAUT will be useless.

Hate to sound unsympathetic, but:
Brian Kelly is the developer/creator/backer of the Nautiluscoin project, and he wants to move NAUT over to the Nxt MS system.
In the absence of any community-based development or initiatives for NAUT, this makes BK the overall project leader.
Holders of the 'old' PoW based NAUT are completely free to refuse the swap, but only the new NXTNAUT will be used in the Drachmae project and further developments, so any holdouts will find themselves with 'old' Nautiluscoin that no longer has any form of support from BK or the Drachmae project.

I have a significant portion of naut on Cryptsy. So Vlad2Vlad is saying if I don't transfer my old naut to Nxtnaut is the next few days, my old naut will be worthless. Is this a scare tactic? I want to transfer asap, but I'm not the most technically sound. So hopefully this is a strong/scare arm tactic to force us when there is not an easy way to transfer. Can someone help me with this?

I'm not trying to scare you, it's just how I see it.  I have my stuff on cryptsy too but I'm not tech savvy so I'm gonna wait until Cryptsy does the swap.

Hi Dave. I just emailed a test run for the exchange (dave@nxtfoundation.org). I attached the screen shot as a word doc.
Thanks for your assistance with the swap.

Made the nightly payouts, have fun with your NXTNAUT, people !

Current total is (as near as dammit) 2.9 million NAUT redeemed,  from a theoretical supply of 5.3 million. This translates to 55% converted from the total NAUT supply.

Dave I am wondering hiw secure the nxt naut is if we have the basic wallet and if there are seccurity steps that should be taken. Is it just the regular threats like key loggers ect? Also can you link me to a simple guide for how to send and receive? Dovyou have to have nxt to do these things? Thanks Dave

Just made the NXTNAUT transfers for tonight, as usual you can see them here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1182317.msg12441796#msg12441796

On account security: just make sure you use a good passphrase, the default passphrase generator used in the Nxt NRS client is secure.
As Nxt uses a brain wallet, password security is the only thing you have to worry about. There are no local wallet files that can be lost or stolen.
Watch out for keyloggers and Trojans, think about using a secure password manager like Keepass: http://keepass.info/

Lastly: some of you may have noticed that a mysterious (and very small) amount of NXT has appeared on your account.
If this happened to you, use some of it to make an outgoing transaction (like setting an account name).
Your first outgoing transaction publishes your account on the Nxt blockchain and increases its security.
This is a public service announcement from: http://nxtfoundation.org/

I have been trying for nearly a week to work with Cryptsy but they're really busy and they're behind other important projects so I couldn't get a solid timeframe.  They may do the swap in a few days or it could take longer.  Really hard to say.

I would suggest doing it manually by withdrawing from Cryptsy if you're competent enough or just wait it out.  I have lost too many coins doing it myself so I'm gonna wait.

Good luck.
