I have several hundred dollars I'd ike into Mt Gox, but the best way I can seem to find is a CVS or Walmart from bitinstant will supposedly do it for 4%. That is a bit steep for me.. but is that the best way to do it this time of night? etc?

No thoughts on this? Even bank transfer seems to want 4 dollars. Cheapest I can figure is PayPal gift to someone, but I can only provide feedback from eBay, Gametz, Neogaf.com, etc...  Anyone interested in selling? PM or leave messsage.

I'm not in the US, but I think Bitfloor has reasonable deposit options (although their cash deposit service is down). Once you have the deposit on Bitfloor, you can buy some bitcoin (and earn a 0.1% fee if your order is filled by someone else) then transfer the bitcoin to mtgox and sell it there.

As strange as it may seem, doing all that may be quicker and cheaper than trying a more straightforward route to MtGox.

Bitfloor is unavaible 'till end of october at least. You're lucky enough to have bitinstant working. Here in Europe there is pratically no options aside SEPA wire transfer (free in a lot of case but 2-5 working days to have the money on mtgox, no night or weekend deposit ecc.).
We really need to find a reliable and easy way to put money on exchange to make bitcoin more usable  Roll Eyes

You could try offering cash in mail, MoneyPak with receipt, in #bitcoin-otc. In my case, I just bought 100 GOXUSD for $102 PopMoney, but I have a good rating history.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

You're really not going to find a way to currently get it any cheaper than that with the small amount you're looking to buy. Unless you want to wait a week for a Dwolla -> Mt.Gox transfer. But then, you can easily lose more than 4% in the exchange rate fluxuation in that time period.
