Halving is inevitable and no one can stop it from happening. I only believe that the only person could do such a thing was satoshi nakamoto and not just somebody in the bitcoin, block stream industry. Since nakamoto is unknown and haven't made some steps to stop or cancel the halving the the possibility is ruled out of the picture. Halving will continue to happen as expected on the stated schedule.

I'm a little surprised that the price hasn't moved much in the last 2 days since the halving is almost here. I guess people are waiting until after it happens to make a move to buy or sell.

The price has already moved from 450 USD (few weeks ago) to 670 USD (after having reached almost 770 USD). It is absolutely possible that the halving speculations were already in that price movements. Although that's just speculation. The real economic effect of the reduced production of new bitcoins will only be seen in the next weeks and months.

Xester, you should study more how Bitcoin works. Although his/their opinion would be taken in great account, even Satoshi cannot arbitrarily change the code. Anybody can propose a modification in the code and submit a new version of it. But in the end, it must be adopted by the majority of miners, or it would simply remain a proposal

Definitely not. Halving is a scheduled event that will happen every 210k blocks. There is no way to stopping it unless a majority decides to a hard fork, which is not happening.
What makes you think that anyone would cancel BTC halving?

Or the OP is does not study well about bitcoins, as for me when I discover and study bitcoin I have known that halving is part of it and since this is the first time I will witness halving, this is historical for me as I would also put my investment for my speculation.

If Bitcoin system are going to cancel the block reward halving, then I am going to dump my coins and exit the Bitcoin sector. If they change the fundamentals every now and then, what is the difference between Bitcoin and a fiat currency such as the USD, Already we are having more than enough issues with the block size.

Unfortunately I think that most of them are sellers who are waiting to see price after halving.
