Changing my username

I want to swap usernames with my alt but I want to retain the reputation on this account. How does one get a username changed around here? I PMed theymos but no reply. Heck, I'd even give him like $5 just to change my username.

Nope it doesn't mean he can change usernames, staff members are a group of people more or less responsible for managing the newbies or the topic they are moderator in, although I'm not sure if Staff itself has the option to change their usernames, thats probably something that hasn't been discussed yet.
Only admins can change the usernames, theymos can not much sure if BadBear can though

This is not so simple and not completely correct. There are various ranks among the staff members (i.e. patroller, moderator, global moderator). The staff members can not alter their usernames.

As said, theymos rarely changes usernames these days. He's very busy and you need a pretty good reason for him to do it for you. However, OP maybe you will get lucky (I doubt it) and message him at the right time.

That's not a good reason to change someone's username. While buying accounts is not against the rules, I doubt that anyone older/trusted here supports such behavior. Please stop with the unnecessary replies. We have already answered your question OP. I suggest that you lock this thread now.

Sorry for the confusion. Looks like I made an error. Yes, staff members can change their name. Similar to that what donators and VIPs can.

To become a donator you needed to pay for a month of hosting. I doubt it cost 2.3k a month to host this forum, the thread should be revised

changing the amount of btc required to become donator/VIP now will be rather unfair to the early donators/VIPs.
