It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Tried posting it as well and got the same error. Then tried posting another image from imgur and it worked. Have you tried resizing it before posting?

Nope, it is the original image with img brackets.

Prior it was working.

Bitcointalk has problems with some of the picture hosting sites and will just show you this error.
There are a lot of different pic host sites out there just google: "picture hosting" and check which service do you like and which works fine with bitcointalk. It is really simple to find hosting service which is working one with bitcointalk.

Imgur should not go through the proxy any more. Theymos patched that a while back.

Imgur was recently hacked and is propagating evil JS via images (you have to view the image directly, not just inline to be affected, but the proxy removes even this risk), so I undid the previous whitelist. This might've broken some images. Not sure when/if they'll be whitelisted again.

They claim its fixed[1].

Probably I'll wait a while still. It was a very weird exploit because AFAIK (maybe I'm misinformed) imgur was actually serving images with content-type: text/html, which (if true) points to either an inside job or a very high-level hack.

That imgur bug sounds interesting. Some comments from a imgur dev here, but not much info. Seems like they just sent content-type headers of whatever file it was (imgur hosts images but also mp4s/webm.) So they only had a validation for "valid files" upon upload. And then this validation was bypassed which successfully uploaded HTML files. I hope they will release more details about that, it does sound weird that such a big site cannot secure their core functionality.

edit: MalwareBytes is still blocking it too: "It's blocked because the root cause of their issues has yet to be identified and resolved. Once this happens and is confirmed, the block will be removed."
