Borrowed 1255 LTC and was supposed to pay back 1568 LTC a few weeks later (this is in December 2012). Defaulted, whined, cried, ran away, and never finished paying it all. (REMEMBER this was when LTC was ~$0.07 each and now $2.40 each). Do the math.

In fact the guy even went on to taught his lenders. Wow...just wow.
