What is the safest way to store Bitcoins?

Has anyone tried using Trezor? been tempted to buy one but i don't know if it's any good than using online wallet.

I do not own any Trezor hardware wallet but as i have seen many review here in forum,
It seems that this hardware wallet is one of the most trusted and secured wallet.
It's much more safe than using online wallets, and trezor can be integrated in Electrum AFAIK.

I just checked on their website.. it's more secured than online wallet yet easy to use and supports not only bitcoin but,Litecoin, Namecoin, Dogecoin, Dash and Testnet. I might get one when i have the money.

Depends on your holdings. 99 dollars to secure thousands or more.... not really sounding so bad.  But if you have 1-2 BTC it is looking like a big portion of your money.

So hardware is not for all.  The good thing is paper wallets you can do for pretty much free and are useful at any level of holding.

When you look closely it is not much expensive.
Maybe there are also many other ways to secure your bitcoins.
But if you have a good amount of bitcoin trezor should be there.

There is no "believing".  Hardware most likely is easiest to use and be safe.

But a cold paper wallet is safest way, assuming done right.  People can mess up doing it though if infected or something else bad on PC or Printer when they make it.  But cold paper wallet I think is safe to say safest, if done right.

no too expensive, and they don't offer a better security than storing in a multiple cheap usb, and then close those in a safe box, that is shielded against mmagnetism or other kind of wave to prevent some form of hacking

Paper wallets should really be stored in a fireproof safe.  If your doing paper wallets they are good against hacking, not against elements.

Even a bank security box is very good tool to use to store paper, or usb wallets.

Just a quick question Sir. What if paper wallet gone or misplaced? Or let's say it burned to fire accidentally.

What method does a holder can do to retrieve it? Or is multiple paper wallet with the same private key are possible? lol.

I'm using online wallet all the time ( until now ) As I heard that online wallet is worrying me.
I'm wonder what the easiest offline wallet that I can learn with fast so I can move some of my storage from online into offline wallet

There are hardware wallets which are secure but at the same time overly expensive. You can install raspbian on a raspberry pi and use electrum as a software wallet. Even though many wallets offer offline features, electrum IMO, is the most convenient one with offline signing.

To spend your Bitcoin, you definitely need the private key. Without it, your coins are as well as gone. You should keep multiple copies of it at different geographical places if possible.

I am collecting my bitcoin to buy a Ledger hardware wallet.
It is pretty same if we compare the features with Trezor.
It's much cheaper and more people can afford the Ledger price.

That is still pricey. I went to mycelium's website and they offer a similar product but it is referred to as a paper wallet. How is ledger and the usb from mycelium different? Was looking at trezor but was to much money then had interest in ledger now looking at mycelium as an alternative.

Well, i'd say you put your wallet.dat files onto a hard drive, and then stick it into a bank vault. Give proof of how much bitcoin is in the hard drive, and if your hard drive gets corrupted, you can sue the bank.
