Happiness over anything and everything .Probably if i told truth and died the next day I'd regret my choice .Having choose to be happy and died I'd still be happy as I won't regret my decision .At the end of the day,you live because you want to be happy.Everything in the world we do is indirectly linked to our happiness.We do great things or probably some do drugs just to be happy.So yeah Happiness over anything.

You can't speak for everybody when you say everything we do is to be happy.

Not me. I live to evolve. I live to become the greatest person I can become. I have learned earlier in my journey this does NOT mean happiness no matter what. To be great, you have to realize if you are chasing happiness, you are naturally suppressing the polarity of it. Which is unhappiness. By suppressing this unhappiness, you suffer, whether you are conscious of it or not. Its better to be neutral in life than to always strive to be happy.

That being said, its not bad to pursue joy. But one must be aware of the consequences. Every action as a reaction.

You're both using extremes. But I agree with him that truth eventually leads to happiness. Or more exactly, leads to real happiness not based on illusions. But that doesn't mean you won't have to deal with suffering at all, or that you always suffer when you see the truth.
