The long term trend consists of straight lines on a linear chart? Guess we're all doomed, then.

You drew a lot of lines. Which one is the long term trend?  Huh

I still believe there wouldn't have been a crash, at least not that massive, had it not been for the MtGox incident.

I still meet folks who believe "Bitcoin was hacked".

Lots of "investors" back then didn't really understand Bitcoin yet, and just followed the herd when everyone was selling.

Okay, so lots of nice looking lines, but what do they mean? Will the price go up or down in the short/mid/longterm?

Seriously Mucus, the only two lines that have some informational value are those two:

Impressive, so he accidental made 1/3 of his random lines have informational value.

Come on Mucus, you can do better. (or worse, seems like how serious you take this whole 0 evidence speculations).

Indeed, I go for Log chart too, much more representative of reality !  In linear chart, price doubling looks like bubbles, in fact, on a log chart, price are much more realistic when big varation occurs !

see..

Linear : Wow, a bubble and a crash !!!

Log : Ok, some reasonable variation !!!

Very different !

Same method different timeframe.

You all still think of the parallel lines as pointless?

I realize that "lines on a chart" has limitations, but it isn't supposed to exceed those, at least for me.
For something better there need to be rigorous methods.
