I want to see bitcoin back to $1000 mark or even better in the future. Im still new to bitcoin world and hope I can feel what others feel when the price hit that mark.

Day by day bitcoin is getting much popular. Growth rate of bitcoin popularity became really high and Im sure of that. Only needs more development to hug and adopt the worlds needs. I trust bitcoin.

You will feel euphoria by the time that you don't need to convert bitcoin to cash anymore because you can spend it to almost anything there is in this world. Mass adaption and global acceptance of this currency will surely change the way we view money. Wink

Yes time will tell and hope it will happen. Smiley

Im trying my best to gain much more knowledge about earning bitcoin so when the bright future of bitcoin happens, I can ride the current trend without regrets that Im not able to save in the past.

If you believe that bitcoin is the future, then learning about bitcoin is more important task to make more amount of bitcoins. Like you, many people has missed the early opportunities bitcoin has provided to us.

Bitcoin will definitely depend on the future generation of crypto enthusiast. Though nobody knows what the future holds for bitcoin but I'm very positive that it will stay for a long long time.

Not sure about future bitcoin price but I think it will stay for quite long time compared to other alt coins because its user base is large compared to other coins.

comparing bitcoin to other altcoins isn't really a worthy comparison as altcoins will dry out at some point. their value will be -95% to -100% over time.

I think the coming halving in the next summer will increase the bitcoin's price , and we can notice in this few previous days that bitcoin's price increased a while. So i think in the near future bitcoin will get good and stable price

Yes halving will push bitcoin price towards new high. from that some even say Bitcoin will change the world as a currency but it will not be a payment network. It was said that it will serve as a revolutionized cross-border transactions, but cannot be money. So, let's wait.

they would be useless, now one will care about the new coins, it's already the case as we talk right now

just look at the alt section, there is no competitor among them for bitcoin, the only one could be monero, nothing else

from this point of view bitcoin future is without obstacles...

I disagree, I think something eventually could come and beat Bitcoin.  It is really hard to say.  Speculation of what will happen in the future is mostly educated guessing at best.  No one knows otherwise we would all be rich.

Yes. To some it is the future of money whereby printed paper money will be of the past. There will be privacy since it is own by individual and payments will be a lot easier. This kind of advantages will make bitcoin as the future of financial system.

Monero could be potential competitor for bitcoin, as it provides anonymous, untraceable transaction.

Ethereum could be another one as it offers a totally new platform.

Is bitcoin a currency ?
An asset ?

Can it be both ?

Bitcoins is an cryptocurrency and it is a platform itself.
Since the price of a single bitcoin changes it can be considered as an asset too.
Because you can get profit from it, i think in next few years bitcoin will become more popular.

I think it is important to separate the facts from the opinions.
I agree with you that bitcoin can be used both as a currency and as an asset.

You might also be right that the price of bitcoin is going to increase, but then again, it might not and we cannot depend on this alone for the wider adoption of bitcoin

maidsafe also can be another competitor, i forgot bout that, but they offer something different than bitcoin, they for example could use bitcoin for their platform, so they are not really competitors...

I think that if only 1 country implements bitcoin.
The price will go to the moon, but that is hard for a whole country to move to bitcoin.
As a "second" currency then yes if the country moves totally to digital and visual money and no more paper money then the price can be increased and the future of bitcoin will rise.

A country adopting bitcoin as a currency seems pretty far-fetched today, although not impossible.
If it happens, it is likely to be in some kind of failed state.

I would rather see the best chance for bitcoin in the certain proportion of the people living in the developed (or developing) economies adopting bitcoin for some of their financial transactions.

I think Bitcoin will eventually be replaced. It has some drawbacks like slow transaction times and scalability issues. I'm hoping for Ethereum to be a BTC competitor in a couple of years.

The example that is often given is that Google was 20th search engine to hit the market.
Maybe Bitcoin is the Altavista or Yahoo and the crypto-currency which is really going to strike it big is still ahead of us.

Even some people believe that bitcoin is another way to scam. Internet Fraud might increase due to the easy access to bitcoin. But internet scam is everywhere even before the bitcoin arrival too. So, in technology revolution, we need to control everything.
