So you do not allow buyers wait for delivery of the actual items (or box of rocks for that matter).. Is that really how you have conducted all business to date?

How much does local bitcoins charge for escrow?

I'll be in and will ONLY release escrow after having received item. It's way too easy for you to forge an order verification and what stops you from canceling the order after you've received the funds? Are you trying to take advantage of the time arbitrage between placed order and how fast you'll receive payment from escrow vs. the days it takes to put an order in the mail?

wouldnt someone just buy a amazon gift card for the same discounted rate on purse.io...

and then use their btc to get that card and buy whatever they want.. instead of taking chances of sending a unknown person bitcoin.. just saying man..

Let me just go through my check-list for the usual warning signs in bitcoin trades:

Seller is in a hurry to get bitcoin CHECK ✓
Buyer must pay first CHECK ✓
Not offering full escrow CHECK ✓
Have a perfect rating on "somewhere else" CHECK ✓
Newbie account CHECK ✓
User with negative feedback CHECK ✓

Not saying OP has bad intentions, just saying there is a lot of warning signs here.

Haha LOL ! superb dude !
do you know what happened with me recently?
actually it was an idiotic mistake but let's go ahead and share it Smiley
there was this guy chreyz on cryptothrift.com selling gamestop gift cards
basically at a knock off value
like the price would just sweep you off the feet !
my mouth was watering after looking at the superb rate.....seemed too good to be true but i trusted the "Feedback" system
now like the OP says if someone is selling something at a discount that does not usually means he is a scammer
but he had like 79 positive feedback and zero negative
he had an old profile on cryptothrift
and basically he was a specialist in these gamestop business
never scammed anyone never delay in order
so i purchased $1000 gamestop gift cards for $400
ofcourse i used escrow i am not an idiot to not use escrow for such a big amount but....i just got impatient
he lets me wait for 24 hours and says that he was in school (very busy ) so he will send me the cards soon
after waiting no response...i haven't released escrow yet but...i am desperate to get my gift cards so i can resell them elsewhere and make some bucks off it
he messages me ....let me search on cryptothrift and post original message here so people get an idea of how scammers use social engineering tactics to get the best of fools like me (seriously $400?....not a small amount !!! i am still heart broken ! i hope he burns in hell ! !!!! ) anyways

quote "Hey! I'm so sorry for having to ask about this, but in order for me to complete the process I need some money, retrieving these gamestop cards isn't free, and I need the money that you spent buying them to get them. So I have to ask for you to release your funds from escrow, I understand if you don't want to do this, but this is the only way we can do it, I am very reputable on this site, so you can trust me :-) "
unquote

well i though if he has nice feedback so i should probably trust him right/?....no! shouldn't have :/ lost all my money
notice where he says "i understand if you don't want to do this" this is the point where my spidey senses should have ticked off and basically.....(i should have pissed on his face!!) ....but i didn't (so he pissed on me instead)

so i released the escrow and after 24 hours i message him and he says "i promise i will deliver this evening"
next day still no response ...says he is online and here but i have the money now though and you are being a d***k so i won't be giving you the cards (yeah right like you had them in the first place scammer !)
so i went to his profile and saw he was hit with one negative feedback by a same guy like me greedy for the cards and he says "waste of time seller asks escrow to be released early " and basically within  6 more hours 6 more negative feedbacks and finally crypto suspends his account and he is out for good
i might have forgot to mention i released escrow immediately after he asked me to do so
he was one heck of a scammer!
but ...... next time i won't let this happen

now regarding the amazon gift card thingy
i think that purse.io is an absolutely marvelous website with superb seller and buyer protection
basically there is an middle man in between who is a professional and will take care of the dealings in a legal unbiased matter
i just placed three orders with them for liquidating my gift cards and trust me i got my coins nice and smooth within 2 days with prime shipping
imagine there are hundreds of orders placed everyday and they get updated every minute !
i sold one card at 25% ,another at 18% and my last order is placed at 15% which will arrive soon i hope...just depends on your luck what orders you get
and usually buyers there aren't d***heads or scammers they are really nice and they release the coins instantly as they receive their items
best place to liquidate gift cards (if you obtained them legally like me Tongue ) and if you want peace of mind at best rates
let's share another interesting story
even if you are a spender it's still a win win situation for you
i was able to buy as PS4 at 34% discount like around $288 which was price at $430 or something
and this was sealed pack brand new
another ps plus card at 26 % discount
and AC unity PS4 at $16 ....sealed pack

There is just one thing i wouldn't understand which the OP is thinking
he is claiming that he is in a hurry to get his coins right? that is why buyer should release escrow as soon as he sends the tracking receipts
well my question is ....why the hell would anyone be in a hurry to buy from you? i mean you are in a hurry to sell them....not necessarily anyone will buy your cards quickly enough
i am pretty sure it has been more than 2 days and honestly if you were serious about selling them then at purse.io you would have long gotten your coins by now and would be enjoying the $800
regarding the $200 limit.....it gets lifted soon ...every two days you can buy orders worth $200 and gets higher as you spend more ....i just got mine to 3 transactions at a time after completing two transactions....it is not that difficult to level up so don't look for high level purse accounts ! just create your own and become amazon king in one month with transactions LOL ....you will enjoy it limit free for lifetime Smiley

I think it is totally suitable to release the escrow ONLY AFTER receiving the items that way nobody will be scammed and honestly that is the whole point of escrow
i have seen many people do scams on iphones with free international shipping by DHL and say "you have to release escrow after i send you tracking receipt " it is becoming a classic scam now and people with good feedback have gotten away with it on LBC (mostly purchased account and not their own)
if you waited long enough to get a buyer why the hell can't you wait for the buyer to receive his items before releasing escrow ? WHAT THE HELL IS THE EMERGENCY MATE?

anyways so all in all my opinion is
my scam story does not mean that
1 ) cryptothrift is a bad site nor escrow system is bad
2 ) neither does that mean people with good feedback are not to be trusted and always scammers....it is always a possibility that a scammer has purchased the good feedback account and most probably ready to launch a rocket at you so.....just watch out

you might have had a good laugh listening to my $400 story but....guys......i want you to be safe okay? so be alert of the scammers they might get the best of you (or your money LOL )
share my story and let people know about the scams!
take care !
peace ! Cheesy

Saying that the OP says:

This sounds a little more secure so long as the proof is 100% good

This offer is not giving me a boner. The OP should know with a brief peruse of the listings on here what's considered acceptable or not. Most of this offer sure as shit ain't.

Did anyone actually used this guy with an Escrow ? He got labelled as a scammer lightning fast and maybe it was too soon...

I remember that I went through the same shit when I started my Amazon selling service here...Not a very friendly place Bitcointalk, I can tell you that...Hell, I still get shit from new guys not willing to read my thread on Bitcointalk and pissing on dozens of positive reviews....I'm not saying he is legit but everyone should be considered innocent until proven guilty...just my 2 cents

Most people who use stolen credit cards order... but cannot guarantee delivery as it's a stolen cc.  So OP wanting escrow to release with just a order screen is what brought him the tag.

He would have to change that policy most likely to not be labeled scammer.  Saying escrow must release at point before item is even delivered is not really a escrow.

It's not hard to buy a localbitcoins account with a high volume and trading history, so you claiming you have a solid rep because of your LBC trading volume is not good enough here. I'm going to have to agree with the majority here that releasing escrow based on order confirmation alone would not be safe enough for the buyer.
